• Do not use the device while damaged.
This may result in a fire, burns, or injury.
• Do not use or store the device in locations with
high humidity or dust or in locations that reach high
temperatures.
This may result in a fire, burns, or electric shock.
• If the device is to be used by children, their guardians must
teach them how to use it correctly, and must prevent them
from using it incorrectly.
Otherwise, it may result in accidental ingestion, injury, or
electric shock.
• Do not place the device in a location within the reach of
infants and pets.
Otherwise, it may result in accidental ingestion, injury, or
electric shock.
• Note that the temperature may rise when you use the
sensors continuously or while charging. Also, be careful not
to unintentionally touch the device continuously such as by
placing the device in your pocket or falling asleep.
During motion capture or while charging, the temperature
of the sensors or charging case may rise. Since continued
direct contact of high temperature parts may cause
redness of the skin, itching, rashes, and low-temperature
burns depending on the customer’s physical constitution
or condition, do not fall asleep while the device is in your
pocket.
• Since the sensors, clip, and the sockets on straps and
charging case have parts that cause magnetic induction,
check that there are no metallic fragments (cutter blades,
staples, etc.) attached.
Attached substances may result in injury.
• When the substance leaks out from the internal battery,
do not let it come into contact with the skin of your face or
hands, or clothes.
This may result in eye or skin injuries. If the inner substance
comes into contact with your eyes, mouth, skin or clothes,
immediately rinse the substance with clean water. Consult
a doctor immediately after rinsing if the inner substance
contacts your eyes or mouth.
• When the straps are soiled, wipe them off to clean them.
You are recommended to clean them on a regular basis.
If skin abnormalities occur through use of the sensors or
straps, immediately stop using the device, and consult with
a doctor.
Itching, rashes, eczema, etc. may result based on the
constitution and physical condition of the customer.
• The sensors, clip, and the sockets on straps and charging
case have magnet(s). Swallowing magnet(s) could cause
serious harm, such as choking hazard or intestinal injuries.
If magnets (or a magnet) were swallowed, consult a doctor
immediately. Keep this product away from children or other
supervised individuals to prevent accidental ingestion.
• Do not dispose of the device together with usual trash.
This may result in a fire, burns, or injury. Also, it may result
in environmental destruction. Bring the unnecessary device
to a consultation service counter or follow the instructions
of your local municipality that has a recycling program.
• The sensors, clip, and the sockets on straps and charging
case have magnet(s) which may interfere with pacemakers,
programmable shunt valves for hydrocephalus treatment,
or other medical devices. Do not place this product close to
persons who use such medical devices. Consult your doctor
before using this product if you use any such medical
device.
• Keep the sensors, clip, and the sockets on straps and
charging case away from magnetic cards.
The sensors, clip, and the sockets of straps and charging
case use magnets. If you bring magnetic cards close to the
device, the magnetism may change, and the cards may
become unavailable.
• Do not press the strap forcibly on your skin when using. Do
not fasten it too tightly.
This may result in discomfort, dermatitis, etc.
• Set the sensors into the charging case in the right
orientation.
Applying excessive force or letting the charging terminals
on the charging case come into contact with the sensors in
the reverse orientation may result in injury, malfunction, etc.
Notes on use
• The AI-based estimation technology is used for the motion
capture function of the device. Accuracy of estimation may
vary by the usage condition or user's physical constitution.
• Perform the motion capture in a wide place, taking care
not to hit people or objects. Be careful not to hurt your
body. Stop using the device if you feel something unusual.
Otherwise, it may result in bodily injury, accident, or
malfunction.
• The body height that the device can recognize body
movement correctly is between 140 cm (4 feet and 8 inches)
and 190 cm (6feet and 2 inches).
• The motion capture function may not work correctly
depending on the communication environment for
connecting the device to a smartphone or other
surrounding conditions.
• Be careful not to pinch your finger with the clip. It may
cause bodily injury.
• Do not allow medicament such as insect repellent spray,
sunscreen, or body cream to adhere to the device. This may
deform or discolor the device. When such medicament is
adhered, wipe it off.
• Do not splash water on the charging case. The charging
case is not waterproof. Avoid using in a humid place such
as in a bathroom, or exposing to rain drops. Note that
malfunctions caused by water is out of warranty and repair
may be refused. If the repair is available, it is acceptable for
a fee because it is out of the warranty.
• Do not charge in the following places.
– Extremely high or low temperature, or high humidity
– Damp, dusty, or with excessive vibration
• Charging may stop to protect the battery or take more time
in an area with high or low temperature. Avoid areas with
high or low temperatures to restore the normal charging.
• The operating temperature of the sensors and charging
case between 0°C (32°F) and 40°C (104°F). Do not use the
device in locations that exceed the operating temperature.
• If charging a sensor while it is attached to the charging
case, use a Sony AC adapter “Fast Charger XQZ-UC1”.
Instructions to prevent reasonably foreseeable
mishandling of the battery
This product has a built-in lithium-ion battery. Do not
disassemble or alter the product. Do not expose this
product, including the battery, to excessive heat, fire,
etc., for an extended period of time. Do not subject this
product, including the battery, to extreme low-temperature
conditions that may result in overheating and thermal
runaway. Disposing of the battery into fire or a hot oven
or mechanically crushing or cutting the battery can result
in an explosion. Leaving the battery in an extremely
high-temperature surrounding environment can result in
an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
Subjecting the battery to extremely low air pressure may
result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid
or gas. The battery must be charged before use. Always
use the Sony-branded charger and USB cable. Refer to the
manufacturer’s instructions or equipment manual for proper
charging instructions. After extended periods of storage,
it may be necessary to charge and discharge the battery
several times to obtain maximum performance.
