Safety Precautions
Read all safety precautions and installation instructions carefully before installing or servicing this xture. Failure to comply with these instructions could result in potentially
fatal electric shock and/or property damage.
It is recommended that a qualied electrician perform all wiring. This xture must be wired in accordance with all national and local electrical codes.
Do not handle any energized xture or attempt to energize any xture with wet hands or while standing on a wet or damp surface or in water.
This xture is designed for use in a 120VAC, 60Hz fused circuit. This fixture is not compatible with dimming circuit.
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, and to assure proper operation, this xture must be adequately grounded. To accomplish proper grounding, there must be a separate
ground wire (green) contact between thisxture and the ground connection of your main power supply panel.
This xture is intended to be used for general indoor lighting in dry damp, or wet locations. For wet locations, xture must be mounted at least 48 inches above ground ,
level.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1 Preparing for installation
A. at fuse or circuit breaker box before installing or servicing any Disconnect electrical power
part of this xture.
B. Carefully remove the xture from the carton.
C. Thread two screws (5) to the oset gem bar (2) and tighten with nuts (6) to secure it.
D. Attach the flat mounting bar (1) to the junction box (not included) by tighten two screws (3) to
secure it.
E. Position the offset bar (2) horizontally and tighten screws (4). Note: If a 4” square junction box
is used, then a square to at converter must be placed to accept the gem bar provided.
Wiring All wiring must take place inside junction box (not included).
Caution: Make sure power is o at fuse or circuit breaker box. Check power wires for damage
or scrapes. If power supply wires are within three inches of the DOB, use wire suitable for at
least °C (194°F). 90
Note: Most dwellings built before 1985 have supply wire rated to °C. Consult a qualified 60
electrician before installing.
Step 2 Wiring xture
A. Make wire connections to appropriate wire. Secure with wire nuts (provided)all .
B. Connect the green wire from the xture to the supply power source wire. ground
C. Connect the black wire from the xture to the black ) wire from supply power source. (L
D. Connect the white wire from the xture to the white (N) wire from supply power source.
E. Pull on each wire lead to make sure connections are secure. Make certain no bare wires are
exposed outside of wire connectors. Tuck all connections neatly into the junction box.
Step 3 Mounting
A. Install xture (7 by a ing mounting holes to two screws (5) then tighten with two acorn ) lign and
nuts (8) to secure it.
Step 4 For wet application
A. the Apply a small amount of silicone sealant (not provided) per manufacturer’s instruction around
perimeter of the xture (7) where it contacts with the surface of the wall but not on the bottom.
Step 5 Restore power at fuse or circuit breaker box
Step 6 Photocell operation
A. The photocell sensor (9) is integrated with the fixture for du to dawn operation. Light wisk ll
automatically come on at dusk and goes o at dawn but xture will remain energized at all times until
main power is switched o. To override photocell, install a rubber photocell cap (not shown, included)
over the PC body to turn lights on during the daytime testing.
Limited Factory Warranty
This product is manufactured by AFX Inc. AFX warrants this xture is free from defects in materials and workmanship when installed and used under normal operating conditions for a period of 5 years from
date of purchase. This warranty covers all component parts and extends only to replacement of defectivexture or components; it does not cover failure due to improper installation, misuse, mishandling or
damage incurred in transit.
