supplyforitsinternalreal-timeclock(RTC).Undernormalconditions
thisbatterywilllastforaminimumofveyears.
LowbatterypoweraffectstheoperationoftheRTC,causingittoreset
ateverypower-up.Whenthebatteryneedsreplacing,alogmessage
willappearintheproduct’sserverreport.Formoreinformationabout
theserverreport,seetheproduct´ssetuppagesorcontactAxissupport.
Thebatteryshouldnotbereplacedunlessrequired,butifthebattery
doesneedreplacing,contactAxissupportatwww.axis.com/techsupfor

Topreventnetworkeavesdropping,therootpasswordcanbesetviaanencryptedHTTPSconnection,whichrequiresanHTTPS
certicate.HTTPS(HypertextTransferProtocoloverSSL)isaprotocolusedtoencrypttrafcbetweenwebbrowsersandservers.The
HTTPScerticateensuresencryptedexchangeofinformation.SeeHTTPSonpage45.
Thedefaultadministratorusernamerootispermanentandcannotbedeleted.Ifthepasswordforrootislost,theproductmustbe
