ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• Double Insulated tools are equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install a
polarized outlet. Do not change the plug in any way. DoubleInsulation eliminatestheneed
forthethreewiregroundedpowercordandgroundedpowersupplysystem.
• Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. Thereisanincreasedriskofelectricshockifyourbodyisgrounded.
• Don't expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.Waterenteringapowertoolwillincrease
theriskofelectricshock.
• Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord to carry the tools or pull the plug from an outlet.
Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Replace damaged cords
immediately. Damagedcordsincreasetheriskofelectricshock.
• When operating a power tool outside, use an outdoor extension cord marked “W-A” or
“W”. Thesecordsareratedforoutdooruseandreducetheriskofelectricshock.
PERSONAL SAFETY
• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power
tool. Do not use tool while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A
momentofinattentionwhileoperatingpowertoolsmayresultinseriouspersonalinjury.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Contain long hair. Keep your hair,
clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be
caughtinmovingparts.
• Avoid accidental starting. Be sure switch is off before plugging in. Carryingtoolswithyour
ngerontheswitchorpluggingintoolsthathavetheswitchoninvitesaccidents.
• Remove adjusting keys or wrenches before turning the tool on.Awrenchorakeythatisleft
attachedtoarotatingpartofthetoolmayresultinpersonalinjury.
• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Properfootingandbalance
enablesbettercontrolofthetoolinunexpectedsituations.
• Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Dustmask,non-skidsafetyshoes,hard
hat,orhearingprotectionmustbeusedforappropriateconditions.
TOOL USE AND CARE
• Use clamps or other practical way to secure and support the workpiece to a stable platform.
Holdingtheworkbyhandoragainstyourbodyisunstableandmayleadtolossofcontrol.
• Do not force tool. Use the correct tool for your application.Thecorrecttoolwilldothejob
betterandsaferattherateforwhichitisdesigned.
• Do not use tool if switch does not turn it on or off. Anytoolthatcannotbecontrolledwiththe
switchisdangerousandmustberepaired.
• Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing
accessories, or storing the tool.Suchpreventivesafetymeasuresreducetheriskofstarting
thetoolaccidentally.
• Store idle tools out of reach of children and other untrained persons. Toolsaredangerousin
thehandsofuntrainedusers.
• Maintain tools with care. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.Properlymaintainedtoolswith
sharpcuttingedgesarelesslikelytobindandareeasiertocontrol.
• Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other
condition that may affect the tool's operation. If damaged, have the tool serviced before
using. Manyaccidentsarecausedbypoorlymaintainedtools.
• Use only accessories that are recommended by the manufacture for your model. Accessories
thatmaybesuitableforonetoolmaybecomehazardouswhenusedonanothertool.
SERVICE
• Tool service must be performed only by qualified repair personnel. Serviceormaintenance

• When servicing a tool, use only identical replacement parts. Follow instructions in the

ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES FOR ROTARY TOOLS
ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION WHEN USING THIS TOOL!
• If accessory jams, turn tool off and disconnect from power supply before freeing accessory
from the jam.
• Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the cutting
tool may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Contactwitha“live”wirewillmakeexposed
metalpartsofthetool“live”andshocktheoperator.
• When using cutoff wheels always have the work securely clamped.Neverattempttoholdthe
workwithonehandwhileusinganycuttingaccessory.
• Keep hands away from rotating accessories.
• Allow accessories and collets to cool before touching with bare hands.Theywillbehotafter
using.
• Insure there are no foreign objects in the workpiece such as nails which if hit could cause
loss of control of unit.
• Always feed the cutter into the material in the same direction as the chips are being thrown.
Feedingthetoolinthewrongdirectioncancauselossofcontrol.
• Keep handles dry, clean, free from oil and grease. Thiswillenablebettercontrolofthetool.
• When cutting wood, extra care should be taken to avoid inhalation and minimize skin
contact.
• Wear ear protection. Noiselevelmaybeampliedwhenusingtoolinenclosedspaces.
• The RTX has an internal speed control, never use an external speed control on this unit.
• Donotusewornaccessories.
• Do not use grinding wheels that have cracks.
• Whenturningtoolon,holditawayfromyourface,sinceadamagedaccessorycouldcome
apart.
WARNING: Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other
construction activities contains chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other
reproductiveharm.Someexamplesofthesechemicalsare:
• leadfromlead-basedpaints,
• crystallinesilicafrombricksandcementandothermasonryproducts,and
• arsenicandchromiumfromchemically-treatedlumber.(CCA)
Your risk from theseexposuresvaries, depending onhow often youdo thistype of work.To
reduceyourexposuretothesechemicals:workinawellventilatedarea,andworkwithapproved
safetyequipment,suchasthosedustmasksthatarespeciallydesignedtolteroutmicroscopic
particles.
USE OF EXTENSION CORDS
Make surethe extension cordis in good condition before using. Always use the proper size
extensioncordswiththetool- thatis,properwiresizeforvariouslengthsofcordandheavy
enoughtocarrythecurrentthetoolwilldraw.Useofanundersizedcordwillcauseadropinline
voltageresultinginlossofpowerandoverheating.
SPINDLE LOCK LEVER
TURN OFF AND UNPLUG TOOL FROM POWER SUPPLY.
To lock the spindlefor changing accessories, pull backon the spindle lock lever (Fig.1c) as
showninFigure2.Withtheleverinthefullbackpositionthespindlewilllock.Installorremove
theaccessoriesasdirectedinthismanual.Releasethespindlelockleverandyou'renished.
ON/OFF SWITCH
ToturnthetoolON,slidetheon/offswitch(Fig.1d)buttonforward.Thetoolwillimmediatelyrun
atthespeedwhichisselected.Donotattempttostarttoolwithspindlelockengaged.Itwillnot
run.
SPEED SELECTION
Tooperatethetool,selectthespeedsettingyouwishwiththespeedwheel(Fig.1e)andslidethe
ON/OFFswitch(Fig.1d)forward.Thespeedsettingcanbeadjustedeitherwiththetoolonoroff.
Because the RTX has a separate speed wheel for setting the speed (8,000 -CAUTION:
30,000RPM),thetoolwillstartatthespeedwherethespeedwheelisset.Besureswitchisfully
OFFbeforepluggingin.
Thenumberedpositrons,1through6inscribedontheswitchspeedwheel,donotindicateany
precisespeedbutaregoodreferencepoints.Thehigherthenumber,thehigherthetoolspeed.
Theapproximatespeedateachsettingis:

Besuretoselecttheproperspeedforyourrotarytooloperate.Thefollowingchartprovidesa

CHANGING ACCESSORIES
Accessoriesareheldinplacebyacollet(Fig.1h)andcolletnut(Fig.1a).
To insert an accessory:
1.Turnofftool,allowittocometoacompletestopanddisconnectfromthepowersupply.
2.Pullbackonthespindlelocklever(seeFig.2)andgraspthecolletnut(Fig.1a).
3.Turnthecolletnutcounter-clockwiseasshowninFig.3untilitisloose.
4.Insertthenewaccessoryintothecolletasfarasitwillgo.
5.Tighten(clockwise)thecolletnutsecurely.NOTE:Thecolletwasdesignedtobehandtightened
andloosenedonly.Accessoriesnaturallyselftightenduringuse.Awrenchisprovidedwith
thetoolforloosening.Youshouldneverneedtotightenthecolletnutwiththewrench.Ifa
wrenchisneeded,useonlythewrenchprovided.Donotusetoolsthatwillmarthenishand
couldbreakthecollet.Alwaysensurethereissomeaccessoryinthecolletbeforetightening.
Tighteninganemptycolletcancrackit.
6.Releasethespindlelockleverandyou'renished.
7.Ifanaccessorycausevibrationitcanusuallybeimprovedbylooseningthecolletnut,pushing
theaccessoryinasfarasitwillgoandrotatingit1/4turnthenretighteningthecollet.
CHANGING THE COLLET
Some accessories require different sized collets. The two collets used with Black & Decker
accessoriesare3mm(1/8")(usedformostaccessories)and2.5mm(3/32").Ensureyourcollet
sizematchesyouraccessory.
To change the collet:
1.Turnofftool,allowittocometoacompletestopanddisconnectfrompowersupply.
2.Pullbackonthespindlelocklever(seeFig.2)andgraspthecolletnut.
3.Turn the collet nut counter-clockwise and remove the collet nut and the collet from the
threadedspindle(Fig.1b).
4.Insertthenewcolletintothespindle.
5.Screwonthecolletnut.
6.Releasethespindlelock.
USING THE ROTARY TOOL
WARNING:Alwaysweareyeprotection.
Whenoperatingthetoolbesuretoholditsecurely.Fordetailwork,gripthecontouredareaat
thefrontofthetool,nearthespindle.Beforebeginningaproject,practiceusingthetoolonsome
scrapmaterialuntilyougetthe“feel”ofthetool.Therotarytoolissmallandeasytousebut
don'tbefooled;it'sarealpowertoolandshouldbehandledcarefullyandproperlyasdescribed
inthismanual.Don'toverloadthetool.Performanceisenhancedbylettingthetooldothework.
FLEXIBLE SHAFT RT5100 FLEXIBLE ROTARY TOOL EXTENDER
(AvailableasaseparateaccessoryandincludedwithcatalognumberRTX-2only.)
FLEXIBLE SHAFT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1.Turnofftool,allowittocometoacompletestopanddisconnectfrompowersupply.
2.Removethecolletnutandcolletfromthetoolbyrstpullingbackonthespindlelockleverand
graspingthecolletnut(Fig.2).
3.Turn the collet nut counter-clockwise and remove the collet nut and the collet from the
threadedspindle(seeFig.3).Releasethespindlelock.
4.Removethesilverhousingcap(Fig.1g)byturningcounterclockwise.
5.Locatethedrivernut(Fig.4a)andthreaditontothemotorshaft(Fig.4).
6.ScrewtheFLEXIBLESHAFT(Fig.5a)ontotherotarytoolasshowninFig.5insuringthatthe
rotatingcentercoreengagesthesquarehole socketinthedrivernut(Fig.5b). UseNOTE:
cautionwhenscrewingthemetalhousingoftheshaftontothethreadedportionoftherotary
tool.Avoidcrossthreading.
7.TheFLEXIBLESHAFTisnowreadyforuse.Toinsertanaccessory.Turnofftool,allowit to
cometoacompletestopanddisconnectfrompowersupply.Placetheprovidedlockpininto
theopeningintheFLEXIBLESHAFThandpieceandrotatecolletnutuntillockpinengages
holeinspindle(Fig.6).Whentheshaftlocked,turnthecolletnutcounter-clockwisetoloosen.
Inserttheaccessorycompletelyintothecollettoavoidwobbling.Tightencolletnutsecurely
byhand.Removelockpin.
8.The FLEXIBLE SHAFT collet can be changed as described in the “Changing the Collet”
section.
IMPORTANT:AvoidusingtheFLEXIBLESHAFTwithasharpbendasshowninFig.7.Aradius
of152mm(6")orlargerisrecommended.Atoolhanger(Fig.1f)isprovidedtohangthetoolwhen
usingtheexshaft.Thehangersecuresthetoolandhelpsavoidsharpbendsontheexshaft.
NOTE: TherotatingcentercorecancomeoutoftheFLEXIBLESHAFT.Thisis notaproblem.
SimplyreinsertitintotheFLEXIBLESHAFT.Ifthecentercoregetsdirty,wipeitoffandapplya
verylightlmofhightemperaturegrease.Thesquaredriveofthecentercoremaynotengage
thehandpiece.Togetittoengage,applyalightforcetothetipofthecentercorewhilerotating
thehandpiececolletnut.
MAINTENANCE
Useonlymildsoapanddampclothtocleanthetool.Neverletanyliquidgetinsidethetool;never
immerseanypartofthetoolintoaliquid.
IMPORTANT: ToassureproductSAFETYandRELIABILITY,repairs,maintenanceandadjustment
(otherthan thoselistedin thismanual) shouldbe performedbyauthorized servicecenters or
otherqualiedserviceorganizations,alwaysusingidenticalreplacementparts.Unitcontainsno
userserviceablepartsinside.

工場
• 請保持工場清潔和有良好的照明。工作檯淩亂及工場黑暗,容易引起意外事故。

具產生的火花,會燃點該等粉塵或氣體。
• 操作電動工具時,勿讓旁觀者、小孩及參觀者靠近。注意力不集中,會使操作失控。
電氣安全
• 雙絕緣電動工具備有極性插頭(插頭的一個插腳比另一個大些)。這偭插頭只能單向插入插
座。如因插頭不能插入,試把插頭倒轉;若仍不能插入,請找合格電工安裝一個極性插座。
切勿自行改裝插頭。雙重絕緣 減少三線接地電線及接地電力供應的需求。
• 切勿與如水管、冷卻器、爐灶及冰箱等接地表面有身體接觸。如您的身體己接地,更會增加
觸電的危險。
• 切勿把機具暴露在雨中或濕地。水份進入電動工具內會增加觸電的危險。
• 切勿濫用電線。禁止使用電線搬運工具或拉扯電線使插頭脫雜接座。勿讓電線接近高熱、油

人身安全

• 小心維護機具,切割工具應保持銳利和清潔。帶有銳利切割邊的工具,如維護得當,不會容
易被卡住,操控更容易。
• 格查工具的移動部件是否位置準確,部件有否損壞,以及其他可能影響機具操作的情況。如
有損壞,使用前應把機具修理好。許多事故皆是因為機具維護不當造成的。

使用旋轉工具的附加安全守則
當使用本機具時,必須配戴護眼罩!
• 若配件卡住,在釋放配件前先關掉機具並切斷電源。
• 如切割時有可能接钃到隱藏的電線或自身電線的話,只能手握機具的塑料絕緣表面,接觸帶
電電線會令機具的暴露金屬部份亦帶電而電擊操作者。
• 當使用切割砂輪時必先把工件夾穩。切勿試圖以單手拿住工件而另一隻手使用切割配件。
• 禁止用手接觸正在旋轉的配件。
• 在接觸配件及夾爪之前先讓其冷卻。配件在使用後會變熱。
• 確保工件內無如釘子之類的外物,若本工具在使用時碰撞到這些外物會失控。
• 每次應以同一方向將切割刀切向工件以令削片飛彈同一方向,切割刀進錯方向會令機具
失控。
• 保持握把乾燥、清潔、無油脂。這會令機具更易操控。
• 切割木料時,要額外小心以避免吸入木屑並滅少木料與皮虜接觸的播會。
• 配戴護耳裝置。在封閉的環境下使用機具會令嘈音水平擴大。
• 本機具備有內部速度控制,切勿使用外部速度控制。
• 切勿使用已損耗的配件。
• 切勿使用有裂縫的研磨砂輪。
• 啟動機具時,機具應遠離您的面部,因損壞的配件會粉碎。

配件,之後便可釋放主軸鎖杆。
開關
要啟動機具,向前滑動開關(圖 ),機具會馬上運轉至所選速度。如主軸已鎖定,不要1d
試圖開動機具,它在此時不會運轉的。
速度選擇
要使用機具,先用速度選擇輪選定所需速度,再向前滑動開關(圖 )。機具在轉動或停1e
止時都可轉換速度選擇。
8,000-30,000危險:因本機具有速度選擇輪以便選擇速度(每分鐘 轉),機具會在選擇
輪所選速度啟動,故請確保接上電源前,機具是在“關”的位置。
選擇輪的 至 位置並無精確地指示速度,但它是一個極佳的參考指標,號數愈高,機具的1 6
速度愈快。選擇輪的速度設定大約為:
1 2 3 4 5 6選揮輪號數
8,000 12,000 19,000 24,000 28,000 30,000大約速度
(各機具的實際轉速可能有所不同)
請選擇合適的轉速來做不同的工作,下表提供速度指引以作參考。
如仍對您所做的工作所需轉速有所懷疑,先以低速嘗試,再逐步調高速度,直至找到合適速
度為止。

更換配件
配件是由套爪(圖 )及套爪螺母(圖 )固定的。1h 1a
要裝上配件:
1.關掉機具,待其完全停止然後切斷電源。
2. 2 1a如圖 將主軸鎖杆向後拉並手握套爪螺母(圖 )。
3.如圖 逆時針轉鬆套爪螺母。3
4.把新的配件插入套爪至底。
5.順時針方向轉緊套爪螺母。 套爪的設計是以手來把它轉鬆或轉緊的,配件在使用注意:
時會自動轉緊,隨機附有扳手以轉鬆配件。您將無需使用扳手來轉緊套爪螺母。如需使
用扳手,請只使用所附的扳手。切勿使用會毀壞完成品及套爪的工具。在轉緊套爪前要
確定套爪內有配件,否則會毀壞套爪。
6.釋放主軸鎖杆,配件安裝完成。
7.如安裝後發現配件震動,通常是因為套爪過鬆引致。把配件盡量向入推,再把它旋轉1/4
週,然後轉緊螺母。
更換套爪
某些配件需要不同尺寸的套爪,百得配有 (最多配件使用的尺寸),及3mm(1/8") 2.5mm
(3/32") 。請確定套爪尺寸與配件相符。
要更換套爪:
1.關掉機具,待其完全停止然後切斷電源。
2. 2如圖 將主軸鎖杆向後拉並手握套爪螺母。
3.如圖 逆時針轉鬆套爪螺母並將螺母卸下,然後將套爪田螺紋主軸取出。3
4.把新的配件插入主軸。
5.轉緊套爪螺母。
6.釋放主軸鎖。
使用旋轉工具
警告:需配戴護眼罩。
使用本機具時必須把機具拿穩。若做精細的工序,拿著工具前面接近主軸的弧形部份。在開
始工作前,先用廢料練習使用直至您到工具有“感覺”。旋轉工具小巧易用,但切勿掉以輕
心,它是真正的電動工具,所以應如本使用手冊所述小心並正確地使用。切勿使機具過載。
不要強施蠻力,機具會更有效率。
彈性軸杆 彈性旋轉工具伸延器RT5100
(需另購,然 型號己備有此伸延器)RTX-2
安裝彈性軸杆指示:
1.關掉機具,待其完全停止然後切斷電源。
2.如圖 將主軸鎖杆向後拉,並手握套爪螺母。2
3.逆時針轉鬆套爪螺母並將螺母卸下,然後將套爪由螺紋主軸取出(請參看圖 )。釋放主3
軸鎖。
4. 1g逆時針旋轉以卸下銀色外殼蓋(圖 )。
5. 4a 4把驅動螺母(圖 )旋入馬達軸杆(圖 )。
6.把彈性軸杆(圖 )如圖 旋轉入機具上,確定旋轉中心裝在驅動螺母(圖 )套筒的正5a 5 5b
方形孔內。 當旋轉軸杆的金屬外殼入機具的螺紋部份時要小心,避免逆轉螺紋。注意:
7.彈性軸杆現已可用。要插入配件,關掉機具,待其完全停止然後切斷電源。把鎖定栓子
插入彈性軸杆的孔,旋轉套爪螺母直至鎖定栓子插穩在主軸上(圖 )。鎖定軸杆後,逆6
時針方向旋轉套爪螺母便可把它鬆開。把配件完全配入套爪以防止震動,用手轉緊套爪
螺母。卸下鎖定栓子。
8.彈性軸杆可如上文“更換套爪”所述更換。
重要指示:避免如圖7般強行彎曲彈性軸杆,建議彎曲度只可大於或等於半徑152mm(6")。機
具上附有掛鉤,在使用彈性軸杆時可供使用。掛鉤穩固工具並幫助避免彈性軸杆過度彎曲。
注意:旋轉中心可能由彈性軸杆走出來,這並不是大問題,把它再插入彈性軸杆便可。如果
它變髒,把它抹乾淨再塗上高溫油脂。中心的正方驅動可能脫離機件,一面旋轉機具的套爪
螺母,一面用輕力按壓中心尖,便可裝妥。
維護
只用溫和的肥皂及濕布清潔本機,切勿讓任何液體滲入機具內,禁止把工具的任何部份浸入
液體中。
重要說明:為了確保本機具的安全可靠,只能由百得授權的維修中心或其他專業維修組織進
行維修,保養及調整(本使用手冊描述以外的調整);同時亦必須使用相同的更換部件。本
機並無用戶可自行維修的部件。
配件
任何電動工具的性能是依賴使用得當的配件的,百得的配件都是經精心設計的,並以最佳物

危險:只用轉速每分鐘 轉或以上的配件,下列是例外:在速度高於每分鐘30,000 15,000
轉(速度選擇 輪設 定 ) 時, 不可 使用鋼絲刷、硬毛刷、金 剛圓 頂 砂光 ,或#2 16.5mm
(1-1/4")金剛砂輪。使用速度切勿比配件所標示的快。
危險:本電動工具使用任何未經推薦的配件,均可能導致危險。
