CAUTION

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF DAMAGE:

• Avoid picking up hard, sharp objects with this product, as they may cause damage.

• Store appropriately indoors in a dry place. Do not expose machine to freezing

temperatures.

• Brushroll continues to rotate while product is turned on and handle is in the upright

position. To avoid damage to carpet, rugs and ﬂooring, avoid tipping vacuum or

setting it on furniture, fringed area rugs or carpeted stairs.

• With brushroll on, do not allow cleaner to sit in one location for an extended period of

time, as damage to ﬂoor can result.

WARNING:

To reduce the risk of electric shock, this vacuum has a polarized plug

(one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the

plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified

electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.

WARNING:

When using an electrical product, basic precautions should

always be to avoid electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury, followed

including the following:

• Fully assemble or install product prior to use.

• Do not plug in or use until fully assembled.

• Operate vacuum only at voltage speciﬁed on data plate on bottom of cleaner.

• Do not leave vacuum when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before

cleaning or servicing.

• Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.

• Do not allow to be used as a toy. Not intended for use by children age 12 and under.

Close supervision is necessary when used by or near children. To avoid injury or

damage, keep children away from product, and do not allow children to place ﬁngers or

other objects into any openings.

• Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended

attachments and products

• Do not use with damaged power cord or plug. If vacuum is not working as it should, has

been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, have the product

inspected by an Authorized Oreck® Service Center prior to continuing use. Call

1-800-989-3535 for the nearest service center or visit our website at www.Oreck.com.

• Do not pull or carry by power cord, use cord as handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord

around sharp edges or corners. Do not run vacuum over cord. Keep cord away from

heated surfaces.

• Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.

• Do not handle plug or vacuum with wet hands.

• Do not put any objects into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of

dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air ﬂow.

• Keep hair, loose clothing, ﬁngers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving

parts. Brushroll continues to operate when in the upright position.

• Turn o all controls before unplugging.

• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. To avoid personal injury or damage, and to

prevent the cleaner from falling, always place cleaner at bottom of stairs or on ﬂoor.

Do not place cleaner on stairs or furniture, as it may result in injury or damage.

• Do not use to pick up ﬂammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or ﬁne wood

sandings or use in areas where they may be present.

• Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or

hot ashes.

• Do not use without inner ﬁltration bag in place.

components, warranty is void.

WARRANTY

TTI Floor Care North America (ORECK) gives you the following limited warranty for this

product only if it was originally purchased and solely used residentially, not for resale,

from Oreck or an Oreck Authorized Retail Dealer. Oreck will repair or replace, free of

charge, to the original purchaser, any part that is found to be defective in material or

workmanship within five (5) years following the date of purchase for all residential

models. NOTE: Warranty is void if used in a commercial setting. This limited warranty does

not cover the replacement of expendable or consumable parts such as filters, cartridges,

and other parts subject to normal wear unless they are defective in material or

workmanship. This limited warranty does not apply to any part subjected to accident,

abuse, commercial use, alteration, misuse, damage caused by an act of God, the use of

voltages other than on the data plate of this product or service of this product by other than

Oreck or a participating Factory Authorized Service Center. Oreck does not authorize any

person or representative to assume or grant any other warranty obligation with the sale of

this project. The Oreck limited warranty is valid only if you retain proof of purchase from

Oreck or an Oreck Authorized Retail Dealer for this product. If you purchase this product

from any other source, your purchase is “AS IS,” which means Oreck grants you no

warranty, and that you, not Oreck assume the entire risk of the quality and

performance of the product, including the entire cost of any necessary

servicing or repairs of any defects. The Oreck liability for damages to you for

any costs whatsoever arising out of this statement of limited warranty shall

be limited to the amount paid for this product at the time of original

purchase, and Oreck shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential

or incidental damages arising out of the use or inability to use this product.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or

consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not

apply to you. ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES OTHER THAN THE

LIMITED WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE, FOR THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING

IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A

PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED. This warranty gives

you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary

from state to state. Notwithstanding the foregoing, no warranty provided

herein or arising under any applicable law shall exceed 5 years in duration.
