Upgraded Gimbal Tripod Head
Thank you for purchasing the SEVENOAK SK-GH07 Gimbal head!
If you have any questions that aren’t answered by this manual, please
contact us at www.sevenoak.biz
The SEVENOAK SK-GH07 Gimbal Head can hold up cameras weighing over
10kg (22lb), making it perfect for any photography using large telephoto
lenses. Separate locks control the 360°panning base and swinging arm,
allowing a full range of motion ideal for covering sporting events, catching
birds in flight, or any other fast-moving subjects.
The "gravity-balanced" gimbal head makes even the bulkiest camera and
lens combos seem almost weightless. The Arca-Swiss-compatible quick-
release plate (included) is 120 mm long, providing ample support of most
telephoto lenses. For extreme telephoto lenses, longer base plates can be
easily substituted.
With numbered scales along the vertical arm allow you to easily repeat your
setup for various lens and camera combinations. The panning base and
vertical arm capable of 360-degree rotation (horizontal and vertical).
Additionally, the lens platform can be adjusted up or down by 4" to better
accommodate dierent camera set ups.

Take the camera mounting plate and slide directly down onto the swing arm.
The platform can only be attached to the gimbal head from directly above
and must be aligned to dovetail with the grooves on the swing arm. Once
the camera platform is correctly positioned, it should easily slide down the
swing arm, and come to a natural stop at the bottom of the arm.
Once the platform has been placed on the swing arm, it can be locked into
place by tightening the camera platform knob. (This knob can be used to
position the camera platform anywhere on the swing arm during use.)
Note: Before mounting your camera on the gimbal, ensure that the pan
knob, tilt knob, and camera mounting platform knob are all tightened. Make
sure that the gimbal feels secure before attempting to mount your camera
on it.
Attach an arca swiss quick release plate to your camera or your own
compatible plate. Which plate you use, be sure that it is long enough to
provide you with the stability you need for your camera and lens.
Open the clamp on the camera mounting platform until it can fit the arca-
swiss plate. While carefully supporting the camera, slide the plate into the
open clamp then tighten it until it holds the plate securely. Gently let go ,
of the camera, to make sure it doesn’t pull the tripod o balance.
Vertical shooting is available
Take the swing arm and camera platform apart, and attach the camera on
quick release plate securely. Mount the camera with quick release plate to
the gimbal head as the picture below.
Note: Make sure that the gimbal feels secure before attempting
to mount your camera on it.
USAGE
After the camera has been set up on the gimbal head, you‘re ready to use it.
Loosen the pan and tilt knobs to the point where you still receive some
resistance, to ensure the head doesn’t move on its own.
The SEVENOAK SK-GH07 mounts to tripods via 1/4”-20 screw thread (also
can be changed into included 3/8”screw thread), located on the bottom of
the unit.
Simply lower the gimbal head onto the tripod mounting screw, and rotate
until it is securely tightened. Be sure to align the screw thread directly over
the mounting screw, to avoid cross-threading during the tightening process.
Note: Be sure to attach the gimbal head to your tripod before attempting
to mounting your camera on it.
