of purchase. Should this device show any fault in
materials or manufacture within 3 years from the

The device has been manufactured to strict quality

Note: This device has delicate electronic components.

Changing the unit of weight
Press the ON / OFF button 1 to switch the
device on.
The startup screen with all displays will appear
for approx. 1–2 seconds (see Fig. B). Mean-
while, press the ON/ OFF button, again to switch
between the units “kg“ and “lb“.
Once the LC-display reads “0.0“ and the
desired unit of weight, you can start weighing
again as described in section “Weighing“.

Remove the excess load.

Note: The LC-display 2 should show a weight
of “0.0 kg“ or “0.0 lb“. If this is not the case, press
the ON- / OFF button again to reset the display to
“0.0 kgor “0.0 lb“. How to change the unit of
weight is described in the section below.
Now slightly lift the scale with the piece of lug-
gage. Make sure the scale is horizontal and bal-
anced. The LC-display will show the weight of the
piece of luggage, after 2-3 seconds the display
will freeze for approx. 1 minute and the reading
will be displayed. During this time the LC-display
will read HOLD 8. The device will then auto-
matically switch off.
Note: The heavier the piece of luggage, the
longer it takes to weigh.
Press the ON / OFF button whilst the weight is
being displayed to reset the display to “0.0 kg“
or “0.0 lb“. You may now start another weighing
process.
Start-up
Note: Remove the insulating strip 9 before first use
(see Fig. C).
Inserting / replacing the
battery (see Fig. C)
Remove the battery cover 10 .
Insert a new battery (type CR2032).
Note: Please note the correct polarity!
Close the battery cover.
Operation
Weighing
Open the buckle 3 and feed the strap 4
through the handle on the piece of luggage.
Close the buckle.
Press the ON / OFF button 1, - before lifting the
piece of luggage - to switch the device on. The
Risk of battery leakage
In the event of a battery leak, immediately remove
it from the device to prevent damage!
Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous
membranes! In the event of contact with battery
acid, thoroughly flush the affected area with plenty
of clean water and seek immediate medical
attention!
Avoid extreme conditions and temperatures which
could affect batteries, e.g. on radiators / direct
sunlight.
Remove the battery from the device if it will not
be used for a prolonged period.

Only use the specified battery type!
When inserting the battery ensure the correct po-
larity! This is shown in the battery compartment!
If necessary, clean the battery and device con-
tacts before inserting the battery!
Promptly remove drained batteries from the
product!

are supervised or instructed in the safe use of
the device and understand the associated risks.
Children should not be allowed to play with the
device. Cleaning and user maintenance should
not be performed by children without supervision.
