IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical product, basic safety precautions should always be
taken, including the following:

BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE.
KEEP AWAY FROM WATER.
DANGER
– To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:
1. Always unplug this appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after
using and before cleaning.
2. Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
3. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
4. Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
Do not place or drop into water or other liquids.
WARNING
– To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire or injury
to persons:
1. This product is for household use only.
2. This appliance should not be used by, on or near children or individuals with
certain disabilities.
3. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
4. Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord or plug or if the
appliance malfunctions or has been dropped, dropped in water or
damaged in any manner. Return appliance to place of purchase for
examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment or repair. No repairs
should be attempted by the consumer.
5. Use appliance only for intended use as described in this instruction book. Do
not use attachments not intended for this product.
6. Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used,
or where oxygen is being administered.
7. Never use while sleeping.
8. Do not overfill unit past MAX line inside unit. Use this appliance on level surface.
9. Do not heat paraffin wax in its plastic packaging and container.
10. Do not heat parafn wax on stove or in microwave. The paraf fin unit is
regulated at an even temperature to prevent scalding.
11. Do not operate unit without paraffin wax.
12. Do not pour melted paraffin wax from the unit.
13. Do not add water, lotions or any other additives to the wax.
14. Do not use if you have any skin irritations, rashes, cuts, burns, or warts.
15. Place foot in unit only while seated. Do not stand in unit.
16. Do not soak or immerse unit in water. See MAINTENANCE for
cleaning instructions.
17. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter where it can be
pulled on by children or tripped over.
18. Do not use an extension cord with this appliance.
19. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
20. This appliance has no user-serviceable parts.

INSTRUCTIONS
DANGER – This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If is still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
CAUTIONS
1. This product should not be used in the following cases unless
directed by a physician: Tuberculosis, benign and malignant tumors,
hemorrhages, inammations of the skin, phlebitis and thrombosis,
open and fresh wounds, bruises, broken skin or varicose veins.
2. Consult your physician should you have any questions regarding product’s
therapeutic use.
3. In case of pregnancy, diabetes, or illness, consult your physician before
using product.
4. Do not use in the presence of any unexplained pain before consulting
your physician.
5. Use of product should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain or discomfort
result, discontinue use and consult your physician.
6. Do not fall asleep while using this product.
7. Keep away from children. This unit is not a toy. Children should not use it or
play with it.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
(Parafn wax included)
1. Place unit on a stable, level surface at a height that is convenient for treating
the desired area.
2. Remove lid from unit.
3. Place 1 lb. wax in the unit.
4. Place lid on unit. Lid should fit securely on unit.
5. Plug unit into electrical outlet (120V AC/60 Hz). Switch on the unit. The
indicator light will illuminate.
6. 1 lb. of wax will take approximately 90 minutes to melt. Operate the appliance
only with wax level below the MAX indicator located on the inside of the unit.
TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Wash hands or feet thoroughly. Check to make sure that you have no cuts or
visible patches of sensitive skin.
2. Remove any jewelry and roll up long sleeves or pant legs.
3. If you are sensitive to temperature, test the wax before beginning. Simply dab
a bit onto the inside of your wrist. It should be very warm to the touch, but not
uncomfortable. DO NOT DIP YOUR HAND/FOOT IN WAX IF IT IS TOO HOT.
4. With fingers/toes slightly apart, immerse hand/
foot slowly into wax in paraffin spa unit (Fig. 1).
5. Immediately pull your hand/foot out, being sure to
maintain the open-finger/toe position. Wait 3 to
5 seconds until the parafn loses thatwet look
and then dip again. Try to immerse your hand/

foot to the same depth each time, so the lip of the
wax glove” thickens uniformly.
6. R epeat this process until 5 layers have been formed. Additional layers can be
added to retain heat longer.
7. Wrap hand/foot in plastic wrap (not included).
8. Sit down and relax for 10–15 minutes while the
warm paraffin wax continues to release heat to
soothe and soften the skin.
9. Remove plastic wrap once you no longer feel any
heat.
Wiggle your fingers/toes slightly to loosen the
wax. Then pee
l off the parafn starting from the

wrist/ankle and pulling it downward, like a glove
(Fig. 2).
10. Discard the plastic and wax. If only one person intends to use this unit,
you may wish to recycle the wax by returning it to the unit.
11. Return lid to unit, switch the unit to OFF and unplug. Allow unit and wax
to cool before storing.
MAINTENANCE
After about 12 parafn treatments or when visible evidence of debris occurs,
the unit should be cleaned and the paraf fin wax should be replaced.
1. Unplug unit and remove lid and wax.
2. I f wax is still hot, wait until it solidifies. Push on one end of the wax block to
lift up. DO NOT USE SHARP OBJECT. Remove wax and discard.
3. Clean inside of the unit with a light household cleaner and wipe dry.
4. Once unit is thoroughly clean and dry, place lid on unit and store. Do not add
new paraf fin wax until you are ready to use.
REPLACEMENT
Conair® Paraf fin Spa Replacement Kit (Model# RP-PB8NR) is available through
the Conair® Service Center at 1-800-326-6247 and at www.conair.com. The kit
includes 1 lb. of wax and 10 disposable liners. When adding wax to the unit,
do notll over the MAX mark.
LIMITED ONE YEAR WARRANTY
Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your unit free of charge for
12 months from the date of purchase if the appliance is defective in workmanship
or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the defective product to the service
center listed below, together with your purchase receipt and $12.00 for postage
and handling. California residents need only provide proof of purchase and should
call 1-800-366-0937 for shipping instructions. In the absence of a purchase
receipt, the warranty period shall be 12 months from the date of manufacture.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS, OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING
BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO
THE 12-MONTH DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN, LIMITED WARRANTY. Some
states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the
above limitations may not apply to you.
IN NO EVENT SHALL CONAIR BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL,
OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF THIS OR ANY OTHER
WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WHATSOEVER. Some states do not allow
the exclusion or limitation of special, incidental, or consequential damages, so the
above limitation may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights,
which vary from state to state.
