IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, especially when
children are present, basic safety precautions should
always be taken, including the following:

BEFORE USING THE LIGHT
THERAPY DEVICE
1. Close super vision is required when this product is
used on, by or near children or people with
certain disabilities.
2. Use product only for its intended use as described in
this instruction booklet. Do not use attachments not
recommended by the manufacturer.
3. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
4. Never use while sleepy or drowsy.
5. Do not use outdoors or where oxygen is being admin-
istered.
6. Never operate if the product is damaged.
7. Do not operate the adapter if it has a damaged cord
or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been
dropped or damaged or dropped into water.
8. Use only with Conair-supplied power adapter.
9. Do not operate device where it could come into
contact with water.
10. Do not use the device if power supply has fallen
into water or has been damaged in any way
11. Stop using device immediately if you think it is
defective. Please contact 1-800-3-CONAIR imme-
diately.
12. Do not bend or abuse the wire of the power supply
as this can cause electrical shock and problems.
13. Do not attempt to take device apart. The device is
not serviceable by the user. This will void the war-
ranty.
PRECAUTIONS
1. Always unplug power supply from wall outlet when not
in use.
2. Do not store device in sun or any location with high
temperatures as this may cause damage to plastic cas-
ing.
3. Use only the supplied power supply.
CAUTIONS
1. Do not use this device on infants and young children
without physician approval.
2. Do not shine the device lights directly into the eyes.
3. Discontinue use if device overheats or becomes uncom-
fortably hot to your skin.
4. Do not use this device if your skin is light sensitive or
you are currently using medication that may cause skin
sensitivity to light.
5. Contact your doctor prior to using if you:
Are pregnant or suspect you may be pregnant
Are taking drugs known to cause light sensitivity
Have any suspicious or cancerous lesions
6. Contact your doctor if you have any medical questions
regarding use of this device.
7. Contact your doctor if you suspect that you have had a
negative reaction from using the device.
The True Glow® Light Therapy Device handle has no ser-
viceable parts. If the power cord is damaged, it must be
unplugged and replaced. Call 1-800-3-CONAIR for instruc-
tions.
LIGHT SENSITIVITY AND CAUTIONS
SPECIAL CAUTIONS FOR DELICATE AREAS
Test yourself for light sensitivity prior to using on your face:
1. Power on your device.
2. Place device light head on or within ¼" of the skin on
your forearm for 3 minutes.
3. After 3 minutes, check the area. If area has turned red
and it lasts for more than 2 hours, your skin is light sen-
sitive.
4. Discontinue use and contact Customer Service.

BATTERIES
Unit may be powered by 3 AA batteries (not included).
Rechargeable AA batteries are acceptable. Replace batter-
ies when light begins to dim.
USB POWER SOURCE
Device may be powered by any USB power source, includ-
ing laptop, car charger, external USB power supply, etc.
110V WALL OUTLET
Device may be powered by standard US 110V wall outlet
by connecting USB power cord to 110V adapter (included),
plugged into wall outlet (adapter does not function as a
charging unit).
TRUE GLOW® LIGHT THERAPY
FOR ACNE
This is a handheld light emitting diode (LED) device that
emits energy for use in dermatology for the treatment of
mild to moderate inflammatory acne. The device delivers
natural blue light energy in the 415nm spectrum that is
proven to destroy acne-causing bacteria within the skin.
The device treatment time is controlled by the operator.
There are no user settings or adjustments.
OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Do not apply treatment close to the eyes to
avoid risk of injury.
1. Wash and clean face prior to use.
2. Remove the protective cover from the lights.
3. Select the power source you desire and ensure device
has power by pressing On/Off button on back of device.
4. Fit user relaxation goggles for comfort.
5. Place the device head within ¼" of the skin on the
treatment area.
6. Leave the light on the treatment area for a minimum of
3 minutes. Do not move or wave the device across the
treatment area.
7. Use a clock or timer to time your treatments.
8. Move device to the next treatment area and repeat.
9. Press the power button to turn the unit off.
10. Cover the lights with the plastic cover to protect lights
from potential damage during storage.
11. Use the device daily for best results.
12. Device is equipped with an Auto Shut off function after
20 minutes in the case that device was accidently
powered on after use.

MAINTENANCE:
1. This is a medical device; it is important to keep
it clean.
2. There are no user serviceable parts in this
device.
3. The device includes only an On/Off button: All
settings are set at the factory.
4. Use only supplied USB cord and adapter.
CLEANING:
1. Turn device off and unplug from any power
source.
2. Wipe the tops of LEDs with alcohol wipes.
3. Clean handle with damp cloth or rubbing
alcohol.
4. Allow to dry completely prior to use.

Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your unit
free of charge for 12 months from the date of
purchase if the appliance is defective in
workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the
defective product to the service center listed on back
that is nearest you, together with your purchase receipt
and $3.00 for postage and handling. California residents
need only provide proof of purchase and should call
1-800-3-CONAIR for shipping instructions. In the
absence of a purchase receipt, the warranty period shall
be 12 months from the date of manufacture.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS,
OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT
LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, SHALL BE LIMITED
IN DURATION TO THE 12-MONTH DURATION
