IMPORTANT SAFETY

INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, especially when

children are present, basic safety precautions should

always be taken, including the following:

LIGHT THERAPY DEVICE

1. Close super vision is required when this product is

used on, by or near children or people with

certain disabilities.

2. Use product only for its intended use as described

in this instruction booklet. Do not use attachments

not recommended by the manufacturer.

3. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.

4. Never use while sleepy or drowsy.

5. Do not use outdoors or where oxygen is being

administered.

6. Never operate if the product is damaged.

7. Do not opera te the adapter if it has a damaged

cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has

been dropped or damaged or dropped into water.

8. Do not operate device where it could come into

contact with water.

9. Do not use the device if po wer supply has fallen

into water or has been damaged in any way

10. Stop using device immedia tely if you think it is

defective. Please contact 1-800-3-CONAIR

immediately.

11. Do not a ttempt to take device apart. The device

is not serviceable by the user. This will void the

warranty.

12. This appliance is not a toy. Keep away

from children.

PRECAUTIONS

Do not store device in sun or any location with high

temperatures as this may cause damage to

plastic casing.

CAUTIONS

1. Do not use this device on infants and young children

without physician's approval.

2. Do not shine the device lights directly into the eyes.

3. Discontinue use if device overheats or becomes

uncomfortably hot to your skin.

4. Do not use this device if your skin is light sensitive or

you are currently using medication that may cause

skin sensitivity to light.

5. Contact your doctor prior to using if you:

• Are pregnant or suspect you may be pregnant

• Are taking drugs known to cause light sensitivity

• Have any suspicious or cancerous lesions

6. Contact your doctor if you have any medical ques-

tions regarding use of this device.

7. Contact your doctor if you suspect that you have had

a negative reaction from using the device.

LIGHT SENSITIVITY AND CAUTIONS

SPECIAL CAUTIONS FOR DELICATE AREAS

Test yourself for light sensitivity prior to using on your

face:

1. Power on your device.

2. Place device light head on or within ¼ inch of the

skin on your forearm for 3 minutes.

3. After 3 minutes, check the area. If area has turned

red and it lasts for more than 2 hours, your skin is

light sensitive.

4. Discontinue use and contact Customer Service.

Unit may be powered by 3 AAA batteries (not included).

Rechargeable AAA batteries are acceptable. Replace

batteries when light begins to dim.

USB COMPATIBLE

Device may be powered by any USB power

source, including laptop, car charger, external USB

power supply, etc. (USB cord not included)

TRUE GLOW® LIGHT THERAPY

FOR ACNE

This is a handheld light-emitting diode (LED) device

that emits energy for use in dermatology for the

treatment of mild to moderate inflammatory acne. The

device delivers natural blue light energy in the 415nm

spectrum that is proven to destroy acne-causing

bacteria within the skin. The device treatment time is

controlled by the operator. There are no user settings

or adjustments.

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: Do not apply treatment close to the eyes

to avoid risk of injury.

1. Wash and clean face prior to use.

2. Fit user relaxation goggles on for comfort.

3. Press On/Off button on device.

4. Place the device head within ¼ inch of the skin on

the treatment area.

5. Leave the light on the treatment area for a

minimum of 3 minutes. Do not move or wave the

device across the treatment area.

6. Move device to the next treatment area and repeat.

7. Press the power button to turn the unit off , if

you want to stop treatment at any time.

8. The unit will turn off automatically after

approximately 20 minutes.

9. Use the device daily for best results.

DEVICE

MAINTENANCE:

1. This is a medical device; it is important to keep

it clean.

2. There are no user serviceable parts in this

device.

3. The device includes only an On/Off button: All

settings are set at the factory.

CLEANING:

1. Turn device off and unplug from any power

source.

2. Wipe the top of cover with alcohol wipes.

3. Clean handle with damp cloth or rubbing

alcohol.

4. Allow to dry completely prior to use.

BATTERIES

• Always purchase the correct size and grade of

battery most suitable for the intended use.

• Replace all batteries of a set at the same time.

• Do not mix of old and new batteries. Do not mix

alkaline, standard (cabon-zinc) or rechargeable

(nickel cadmium) batteries.

• Clean the battery compartment by blowing

away any debris prior to battery installation.

• Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with

regard to polarity (+ and -).

• Remove batteries from equipment that is not to

be used for an extended period of time.

• When batteries begin to fail remove promptly.

Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your unit

free of charge for 12 months from the date of

purchase if the appliance is defective in

workmanship or materials.

To obtain service under this warranty, return the

defective product to the service center listed on back

that is nearest you, together with your purchase

receipt and $3.00 for postage and handling.

California residents need only provide proof of

purchase and should call 1-800-3-CONAIR for

shipping instructions. In the absence of a purchase

receipt, the warranty period shall be 12 months from

the date of manufacture.

ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS,

OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT

LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF

MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A

PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL BE LIMITED

IN DURATION TO THE 12-MONTH DURATION

OF THIS WRITTEN, LIMITED WARRANTY.
