1. Safety

• This light ﬁtting is only suitable for permanent installation and

should be installed by aqualiﬁed electrician.

• Keep your proper footing and balance at alltimes.

• Make sure that there are no hidden cables or water pipes in

theceiling before drilling holes.

• Read all theinstructions before you install and use thelightﬁtting.

• Always turn off thepower before installing, wiring or repairing

thelight ﬁtting.

• The light ﬁtting must not be used without thediffuser inplace.

• Warning: Whenever installing any electrical ﬁttings, basic

safety precautions should always be observed to avoid therisk

of ﬁre, electric shock and personal injury.

• Ifyou drill holes in theﬁtting it will affect Note:

theIPclassiﬁcation of theﬁtting.

2. Product description

• Ceiling light (IP65). Suitable for industrial use and in facilities

with high levels of dust, dirt and contaminants.

• Ideal for garages, machine rooms and stables.

• Clear UV-proof polycarbonate diffuser.

• CE-, D- and S-marked.

• For T8 ﬂuorescent tubes (sold separately).

• The light ﬁtting has abuilt-in electronic ballast for aﬂicker-free

and energy-efﬁcient operation.

• No glow starters are required.

4. Preparations

• Remove theinstallation components from inside thelight

ﬁtting’s chassis.

• Gather all thetools necessary to perform theinstallation.

• Select anappropriate location for thelight ﬁtting.

• Think about theorder in which theparts need to be ﬁtted.

• Purchase thecorrect type of ﬂuorescent tubes.

1. Turnthelocking knob (4) to release thechassis plate (3).

2. Liftthechassis plate and take out theinstallation components.

3. Unhookthespring clips (2) from thechassis plate.

4. Readythechassis plate: Pushtheﬂuorescent tube holders (1)

through thechassis plate, make sure they are secured. 8. Maintenance

• Always turn off thepower before carrying out any maintenance.

• You may only replace theﬂuorescent tube yourself – any other

repairs should be carried out by aqualiﬁed electrician.

• Only use ﬂuorescent tubes that match thespeciﬁcations.

• Repairs must only be carried out by qualiﬁed personnel using

original spareparts.

Replacing the fluorescent tube

Note: Bearin mind that thetube is fragile and should be handled

withcare.

1. Turnoff theelectricity.

2. Waituntil theﬂuorescent tube has cooled.

3. Removethediffuser by opening thesnaplocks.

4. Turntheﬂuorescent tube a¼ turn so it can pass through

theslot in theholder, remove theﬂuorescent tube.

5. Fitthenewtube.

6. Reﬁtthediffuser. Thelight ﬁtting must not be used without

thediffuser inplace.

9. Disposal

This product should be disposed of in accordance with local

regulations. If you are unsure how to proceed, contact your

localauthority.

The product conforms to relevant safety standards and is CE-,

5. Assembly

1. Fitthesnap locks (6) to themounts on thecasing.

2. Fitthecable gland (8) into thecasing with thethin rubber

washer on theoutside and anut on theinside. Tighten

thecable gland so that it does not spin when you tighten

theouter seal after thecable has been ﬁtted.

3. Thinkabout how you are going to ﬁx theﬁtting to theceiling.

There are two alternatives: Hangit from theceiling on awire/

chain attached to thehanging brackets (6) or hang it directly

to theceiling on thehanging brackets.

Alternative 1

Secure awire or chain to theceiling and to thehanging

brackets and then adjust thelength of thewire/chain until

thelight ﬁtting is at thedesired height.

Alternative 2

a) Start by measuring where theholes are to be drilled.

b) Screw thehanging brackets to theceiling using

theincluded screws and wallplugs.

c) Check that everything is ready before you push thelight

ﬁtting into thehanging brackets.

5. Pressthelight ﬁtting up into thehanging brackets.

6. Electrical connections

Note: Thelight ﬁtting has anelectronic ballast and therefore needs

no glow starters.

1. Turnthepower off before beginning any wiring.

2. Themains cable should have aminimum cross-sectional area

of 1.5 mm². Thecircuit must be protected by a10 Afuse.

3. Makesure that thecable gland is ﬁtted properly so that no

water can enter through thehole.

4. Passthemains cable through thecable gland. Makesure

thatthere is at least 17.5 cm of cable inside thecasing of

thelight ﬁtting.

5. Connect thewires to thecorrect terminals (L, earth and N).

Theearth must always be connected.

6. Tighten thesealing nut on thecable gland. Trypulling

thecable gently to make sure that it is held ﬁrmly by thegland

and that theseal istight.

7. Reattach thespring clips to thechassis plate and hold

thechassis plate against thelight ﬁtting. Lockthechassis

plate in place by turning thelocking knob.

9. Carefully ﬁt thediffuser and lock it in place using all

thesnaplocks.

7. Cleaning

1. Turn off thepower and wait until thelight ﬁtting has cooled.

Removethediffuser by opening thesnaplocks.

2. Clean using asoft cloth. Ifnecessary, moisten slightly with

water and mild detergent. Never use alcohol, solvent or similar

agents to clean thelight.

3. Reﬁt thediffuser.
