Care and cleaning
w Electric Shock Hazard.
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do
not immerse the cord, plug, or base in
water or any other liquid.
Unplug and let cool.
Wipe cooking grids and outside of unit
with a damp, soapy cloth. Rinse cloth
and wipe grids again.
Do not use steel wool, scouring pads,
or abrasive cleansers on any part of
the unit. Never use sharp or pointed
objects for cleaning purposes.
Always allow the appliance to cool
down completely before storing.

Burn Hazard. Always use
an oven mitt to protect hand when opening
a hot waffle maker. Escaping steam can
burn.

This appliance is intended for
household use only.
w Electrical Shock
Hazard: This appliance is provided with
either a polarized (one wide blade) or
grounded (3-prong) plug to reduce the
risk of electric shock. The plug fits only
one way into a polarized or grounded
outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose
of the plug by modifying the plug in any
way or by using an adapter. If the plug
does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, have an
electrician replace the outlet.
The length of the cord used on this
appliance was selected to reduce
the hazards of becoming tangled in
or tripping over a longer cord. If a
longer cord is necessary, an approved
extension cord may be used. The
electrical rating of the extension cord
must be equal to or greater than the
rating of the appliance. If the appliance
is of the grounding type, the extension
cord should be a grounding-type,
3-wire cord. Care must be taken to
arrange the extension cord so that it
will not drape over the countertop or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by
children or accidentally tripped over.
To avoid an electrical circuit overload,
do not use another high-wattage
appliance on the same circuit with this
appliance.
When using this appliance, provide 4
to 6 inches air space above, behind,
and on both sides for air circulation.
Do not use on surfaces where heat
may cause a problem.
Never remove the waffle with any
kind of cutting device or other metallic
kitchen utensil.
Always allow the appliance to cool
down completely before putting
it away, and never wrap the cord
around the appliance while it is still
hot.
Do not operate the appliance by
means of an external timer or
separate remote-control system.
CAUTION: HOT SURFACE.
The temperature of accessible
surfaces may be high when the
appliance is operating.
Usage tips
• Most waffle recipes can be poured
directly onto the nonstick cooking grids.
Use a cooking spray for dessert waffles
or any recipe with a lot of sugar. If your
waffles start to stick, the grids may need
to be scrubbed with a nylon brush to
remove any cooked-on food particles.
• Waffles can be made ahead of time and
kept warm in a 200°F (93°C) oven.
• To store waffles, let cool and then
pack in an airtight container. Store in
refrigerator or freezer. Waffles can be
reheated in a microwave oven, a toaster
oven, or regular oven.
• Most waffles are done in about 3 to
6 minutes. Recipes made from scratch
may take longer. Check for doneness
after approximately 5 minutes or when
the steaming stops. If the lid doesn’t lift
easily, let waffles cook a minute more
before checking again.
Limited warranty
This warranty applies to products purchased and
used in the U.S. and Canada. This is the only
express warranty for this product and is in lieu of
any other warranty or condition.
This product is warranted to be free of defects in
material and workmanship for a period of five (5)
years from the date of original purchase in Canada
and one (1) year from the date of original purchase
in the U.S. During this period, your exclusive
remedy is repair or replacement of this product
or any component found to be defective, at our
option; however, you are responsible for all costs
associated with returning the product to us and

BEFORE FIRST USE: Wipe the bottom and
top cooking grids with a soapy, damp cloth.
Rinse cloth; then wipe grids again.
Plug into outlet. The POWER ON light
will illuminate and stay on until the unit
is unplugged. Turn temperature control
dial from Min to Max to adjust waffle
doneness. Min for light brown waffles
and Max for crispy brown waffles.
Preheat with lid closed until READY light
illuminates. This light will cycle on and off
during baking.
Use a cooking spray before pouring
batter onto the grids, especially for
dessert waffles or recipes with sugar.
Hold handle to lift lid to open. Pour batter
onto center of grids. Lower the lid.
Waffles are done in about 3 to 6 minutes,
depending on recipe, or when steaming
begins to stop. Remove waffle with
plastic or wooden utensil. Never use
metal. This will damage the nonstick
coating.
Unplug. Let cool.

Cet appareil est destiné à un usage

w Risque de choc
électrique : Cet appareil est fourni avec
une fiche polarisée (lame plus large) ou
d’une fiche (3 lames et mise à la terre)

Cette fiche s’insère d’une seule manière
dans une prise polarisée ou prise avec
mise à la terre. Ne pas transformer le
dispositif de sécurité de la fiche en
modifiant celle-ci de quelconque façon
ou en utilisant un adaptateur. Si vous
ne pouvez pas insérer complètement
la fiche dans la prise, inversez la fiche.
Si elle refuse toujours de s’insérer, faire
remplacer la prise par un électricien.
La longueur du cordon installé sur cet
appareil a été sélectionnée afin de

Risque de brûlures.
Toujours utiliser un gant de cuisinier pour
protéger les mains pendant la manipulation
d’un gaufrier chaud. La vapeur s’échappant
peut brûler.
AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION :
Essuyer les grilles de couvercle et de fond
avec un linge humidifié d’eau savonneuse.
Rincer le linge puis essuyer à nouveau les
grilles.
Brancher dans la prise de courant.
Le témoin d’alimentation s’allumera
et sera fixe tant que l’appareil n’est
pas débranché. Tourner le cadran de
commande de température de MIN
à MAX pour régler la cuisson de la
gaufre. MIN est utilisé pour des gaufres
légèrement grillées et MAX est utilisé
pour obtenir des gaufres rôties et
croustillantes.
Fermer le couvercle et préchauffer
jusqu’à ce que le témoin de préchauffage
VERT s’allume. Ce témoin s’allumera et
s’éteindra pendant la durée de la cuisson.
Utiliser un enduit pour cuisson avant de
verser la pâte sur le moule à gaufres,
surtout pour des gaufres desserts ou des
recettes contenant beaucoup de sucre.
Ouvrir le couvercle en tenant la poignée.
Verser la pâte au centre du moule à
gaufres. Fermer le couvercle.
Les gaufres sont cuites après 3 à 6
minutes environ, selon la recette ou
lorsque la vapeur ne s’échappe plus.
Retirer les gaufres avec un ustensile en
plastique ou en bois. Ne jamais utiliser
d’ustensiles métalliques. Ceci pourra
endommager l’enduit antiadhésif.
Débrancher. Laisser refroidir.
Entretien et nettoyage
w Risque de
choc électrique. Pour réduire le risque
d’électrocution, ne pas immerger le
cordon, la fiche ou le socle dans l’eau ou
tout autre liquide.
Débrancher et laisser refroidir.
Essuyer les grilles de cuisson et
l’extérieur de l’appareil avec un linge
imbibé d’eau savonneuse. Rincer le
linge et essuyer les grilles à nouveau.
Ne pas utiliser de tampon métallique
à récurer ou de poudre à nettoyer sur
aucune pièce de l’appareil. Ne jamais
utiliser d’objets affûtés ou pointus pour
les besoins de nettoyage.
Toujours permettre le refroidissement
complet de l’appareil avant de le
ranger.
