Battery safety instructions

• DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Dry batteries must not be

re-chargeable or throw in the ﬁre or short-circuited.

• Do not expose batteries or appliance to extreme tempera-

ture such as from direct sunlight or ﬁre. Do not place the

product on a heating source.

• If batteries are already leaked, remove them from the bat -

tery compartment with a clean cloth. Dispose the batter-

ies in accordance with the provisions. Avoid to contact the

leaked battery acid.

• The batteries are to be disposed of safely.

• CAUTION! There is a danger of explosion if the batteries are

inserted incorrectly. Use only the same battery types. Do

not use old and new batteries together and of different type

from different manufacturer.

• Always insert batteries in accordance (+) and (-) polarity as

illustrated in the battery compartment.

• Batteries are life-threatening if swallowed. Store all bat -

teries out of the reach of the children. Seek medical help

immediately if batteries are swallowed.

• Do not allow children to change batteries.

• Remove the batteries when you are not going to be using

the product for a long period of time.

Operating instructions

ON/OFF

Press button

Select temperature unit

Press °C | °F to change temperature unit

Temperature measurement

Unfold the probe and insert into test substance about

25mm/1” minimum and get the reading when it becomes

stable.

Maximum and minimum reading memory

1. Press the MAX | MIN MAX button. The icon will display and

the maximum temperature reading taken will display on

the screen.

2. Press the MAX | MIN MIN button again. The icon will display

and the minimum temperature reading taken will display

on the screen.

3. Press the button again to resume normal opMAX MIN| -

eration.

Reset memory

To reset the memory, press and hold the button MAX MIN|

for 3 seconds. Always reset the memory before taking new

readings to ensure the max/min reading are accurate.

Temperature reading Hold

1. Press the button to keep the current reading disHOLD -

played.

2. Press the button again to resume normal operation.HOLD

Note:

1. When the display becomes dim, replace the battery.

2. Do not operate in the ambient temperature lower than 0°C

/ 32°F. Otherwise, incorrect reading or damage to the ther -

mometer may result.

Cleaning and maintenance

If the appliance is not kept in a good state of cleanliness, this

can adversely affect the life of the appliance and result in a

dangerous situation.

Cleaning

• Avoid water contacting the electrical components.

• For reasons of hygiene, the appliance should be cleaned

before and after use.

Maintenance

• If you see that the appliance is not working properly or that

there is a problem, stop using it, switch it off and contact

the supplier.

Transportation and Storage

• Store the appliance in a cool, clean and dry place.

Troubleshooting

If the appliance ceases to function correctly, press and hold

the RESET button (situated on the back of the appliance) us-

ing a pointed instrument.

Warranty

Any defect affecting the functionality of the appliance which

becomes apparent within one year after purchase will be

repaired by free repair or re¬placement provided the appli -

ance has been used and maintained in accordance with the

instructions and has not been abused or misused in any

way. Your statutory rights are not affected. If the appliance

is claimed under warranty, state where and when it was pur -

chased and include proof of purchase (e.g. receipt).

Drücken Sie , um die Temperatureinheit zu ändern°C °F|

Temperaturmessung

Entfalten Sie die Sonde und setzen Sie sie in die Testsubstanz

ein, die mindestens 25 mm beträgt, und erhalten Sie den

Messwert, wenn sie stabil wird.

Maximaler und minimaler Lesespeicher

1. Drücken Sie die Taste . Das Symbol wird MAX MIN| MAX-

angezeigt und die gemessene Höchsttemperatur wird auf

dem Bildschirm angezeigt.

2. Drücken Sie die Taste erneut. Das MAX MIN| MIN-Symbol

wird angezeigt und die gemessene Mindesttemperatur wird

auf dem Bildschirm angezeigt.

3. Drücken Sie die Taste erneut, um den normalen MAX MIN|

Betrieb wieder aufzunehmen.

Speicher zurücksetzen

Um den Speicher zurückzusetzen, halten Sie die Taste MAX

| MIN 3 Sekunden lang gedrückt. Setzen Sie den Speicher

immer zurück, bevor Sie neue Messwerte vornehmen, um

sicherzustellen, dass die max./min. Messwerte korrekt sind.
