DE BERGSTEIGERHELM

ROCK RIDER

Folgende Richtlinien sind sorgfältig durch-

zulesen und strikt zu beachten. Dieses

speziell zum Bergsteigen und Klettern

hergestellte Produkt entbindet nicht vom

persönlich zu tragenden Risiko.

WARNUNG

Jede Person, die Mammut Material jeg-

licher Art benutzt, ist persönlich verant-

wortlich für das Erlernen der richtigen

Anwendung und Technik. Jeder Benut-

zer übernimmt sämtliche Risiken und

akzeptiert voll und ganz die gesamte

Verantwortung für alle Schäden und Ver-

letzungen jeglicher Art, welche während

der Benützung von Mammut-Artikeln re-

sultieren. Hersteller und Fachhandel leh-

nen jede Haftung im Falle von Missbrauch

und unsachgemässen Einsatz und/oder

Handhabung ab. Diese Richtlinien sind

hilfreich für die richtige Anwendung dieses

Produktes. Da jedoch nicht alle Falschan-

wendungen und Fehlermöglichkeiten

aufgeführt werden können, ersetzen sie

niemals eigenes Wissen, Schulung, Er-

fahrung und Eigenverantwortung. Durch

Entfernen oder Verändern von Originalbe-

standteilen wird der Helm unbrauchbar.

Trotz Verwendung eines Helmes kann es

zu schweren bis tödlichen Verletzungen

kommen.

LAGERUNG UND TRANSPORT Optimale

Lagerbedingungen sind: Trocken, im

Dunkeln, kühl und ausserhalb von

Transportbehältnissen – vor direkter

Strahlung, Chemikalien, Hitze und mecha-

nischer Beschädigung geschützt.

REINIGUNG Das verschmutzte Produkt

in handwarmem Wasser mit neutra-

ler Seife oder geringem Zusatz von

Feinwaschmitteln reinigen, gut spülen

und im Schatten trocknen lassen. Zur

Reinigung, Pflege oder Desinfektion nur

Substanzen verwenden, die sich weder

auf Helm noch auf Träger nachteilig

auswirken.

EINWIRKUNG VON CHEMIKALIEN UND

UMWELTEINFLÜSSEN Der Kontakt mit

Säuren, Lösungsmitteln und anderen

reaktiven Stoff en oder Hitzequellen

ist unbedingt zu vermeiden. Achtung:

Aggressive Chemikalien (u.a. Farbe,

Lösungsmittel, gummierte und selbstkle-

bende Etiketten) und starke Hitze können

die Eigenschaften des Produktes ohne

äussere Anzeichen verschlechtern. Nach

derartigem Kontakt ist das Produkt sofort

zu ersetzen.

ZUBERHÖR Nur mit anderen, für Klettern

und Bergsteigen genormten Produkten

verwenden und die individuellen Richt-

linien beachten.

LEBENSDAUER UND AUSSONDERUNG

Der Helm muss vor und nach jedem

Gebrauch gründlich auf Beschädigungen

und Verschleißerscheinungen kontrol-

liert werden. Die Lebensdauer kann im

Voraus nicht genau bestimmt werden,

denn sie wird von zahlreichen Faktoren,

wie Gebrauchshäufigkeit, Behandlung,

klimatische Einflüsse, etc. beeinflusst.

Grundsätzlich muss das Produkt sofort

ersetzt werden:

– nach einem harten Sturz

– nach Kontakt mit aggressiven

Chemikalien

– bei Rissen und Beulen auf der Ober-

fläche des Helmes

– bei Rissen am Kinnband, Kopfband,

Schnalle und Ratschen

– bei übermässiger Abnutzung

– bei irreversiblen starken Verschmut-

zungen

Bei optimaler Lagerung und seltener Nut-

zung sollten Sie das Produkt spätestens

nach 6 Jahren aussondern.

GEBRAUCH Einstellung und Anpassung:

Der Einstellbereich des Helmes ermöglicht

eine variable Einstellung an unterschied-

liche Kopfgrössen und Kopfbedeckungen.

Nach dem Aufsetzen muss der Helm

angepasst werden. Der optimale Schutz

wird nur erreicht, wenn der Helm auf die

individuelle Kopfgrösse richtig angepasst

wurde:

– Den Helm aufsetzen und das Kopfband

mittels der Ratsche verstellen, bis der

Helm einen sicheren, bequemen Halt

am Kopf erlangt (siehe Bild 1).

– Durch Verschieben der beiden seitli-

chen Schnallen auf den Bändern die Po-

sition des Kinnriemens einstellen (siehe

Bild 2). Das Band kann zur Anpassung

auch am hinteren Befestigungspunkt

verschoben werden.

– Das Kinnband schliessen und festzie-

hen (siehe Bild 3).

Dieser Schutzhelm ist speziell und

ausschliesslich für den Gebrauch beim

Felsklettern, Eisklettern und Bergsteigen

ausgelegt. Die Konstruktion wurde darauf

ausgelegt, den Kopf vor Steinschlag, Eis-

fall und herabfallenden Gegenständen zu

schützen. Achtung: Eine kritische Helmbe-

schädigung muss nicht äusserlich erkenn-

bar sein; sobald Zweifel an der Sicherheit

des Helmes bestehen, diesen nicht mehr

benutzen. Zur Befestigung einer Stirn-

lampe deren Stirnband unter die Befes-

tigungsklammern schieben (siehe Bild 2).

EN MOUNTAINEERING HELMET

ROCK RIDER

The following guidelines are to be read

through carefully and strictlyobserved.

This product has been manufactured

specially for mountaineering and climb-

ing; it does not discharge users from their

personalresponsibility.

WARNING

Any user of Mammut equipment of any

kind is personally responsiblefor learning

its correct application and technique. The

user assumesall risks, and unconditionally

accepts full responsibility for any damage

and/or injuries that may result while using

Mammut equipment.The manufacturers

and specialist retailers deny any liability

in theevent of misuse and improper use

and/or handling. The present guidelines

are a helpful aid on the correct use of this

product. However, asit is not possible to

list all instances of incorrect application

and errorpossibilities, the guidelines can

never replace the user‘s own knowledge,

training, experience and personal respon-

sibility. By removing ormodifying original

parts, the helmet becomes unusable. Even

if youuse a helmet, there is a risk of seri-

ous to fatal injury occurring.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT Optimum

storage conditions: Store in a dry, dark,

cool place, and notinside the shipping

containers. Protect from direct exposure,

chemicals,heat and mechanical damage.

CLEANING Clean the soiled product in

lukewarm water using a neutral soap

or a litt lemild washing agent , rinse

thoroughly and leave to dry away from

directsunlight. To clean, maintain or dis-

infect the helmet, only use substancesthat

have no detrimental effect on the helmet

or the wearer.

EFFECT OF CHEMICALS AND ENVIRON-

MENTAL INFLUENCES Contact with acids,

solvents and other reactive substances or

heatsources must be avoided at all costs.

Caution: aggressive chemicals (including

dye, solvents, gummed and selfadhesive

labels) and intense heat can impair the

properties of theproduct without any

external indications. Replace the product

immediately if it has been in contact with

such chemicals or heat.

ACCESSORIES Only use in combination

with other approved mountaineering and

climb ing equipment, and observe the cor-

responding guidelines.

SERVICE LIFE AND SEGREGATION The

helmet should be inspected thoroughly

before and after every use fordamage and

signs of wear and tear. The product‘s ser-

vice life depends on many factors such as

howoften it is used, where it is used, etc.

In principle the product is to bereplaced

immediately:

– after a hard fall

– after contact with aggressive chemicals

– For tears and bumps on the surface

of the helmet

– For tears on the chin strap, headband,

fastener and adjustment system

– in the event of excessive wear

– If it is heavily and irreversibly soiled

The product should be replaced at the lat-

est after 6 years of normaland expert use

and providing no serious damage has been

caused byoutside conditions

USE Fitting your helmet:

The helmet’s range of adjustment allows

you to adjust the helmet to different head

sizes and head coverings. After putting on

the helmet, it mustbe adjusted. Optimal

protection is only achieved if the helmet

is correctlyadjusted to the individual

head size.

– Put the helmet on and adjust the head

band by using the adjustmentsystem,

until the helmet holds firmly and com-

fortably to the head (see fig. 1).

– By moving both the side clasps on the

bands, adjust the position ofthe chin

strap (see fig. 2). The band can also

be moved to therear mounting point in

order to adjust correctly.

– Fasten and tighten the chin strap (see

fig. 3).

This protective helmet is designed espe-

cially and exclusively for use inrock climb-

ing, ice climbing and mountaineering. The

construction wasdesigned to protect the

head from falling rocks, icefalls and other

falling substances. The helmet should be

replaced after any heavy impact.Caution:

critical damage to your helmet may not be

externally visible; if you have any doubt

about the safety of the helmet then you

shouldcease use. To fix a headlamp, push

its headband under the mountingclamps

(see fig. 2).

sabilité personnelle. Touteélimination ou

modification des éléments originaux rend

le casqueinutilisable. Malgré l’utilisation

d‘un casque, on reste exposé à desbles-

sures graves voire mortelles.

STOCKAGE ET TRANSPORT Les condi-

tions idéales de stockage sont : au

sec, à l’abri de la lumière,au frais et en

dehors du sac de transport. Protéger

également des radiations directes, des

produits chimiques, de la chaleur et des

contraintesmécaniques.

ENTRETIEN Laver à l’eau tiède avec un

savon neutre, bien rincer et laisser sécher

al’ombre. Pour le nettoyage, l’entretien ou

la désinfection, utiliser uniquement des

substances n’ayant aucune répercussion

préjudiciable ni surle casque ni sur son

porteur.

EFFET DES PRODUITS CHIMIQUES ET

IMPACTS SUR L‘ENVIRONNEMENT Il faut

absolument éviter tout contact avec des

acides, solvants etautres matières réactives

ou sources de chaleur. Attention : les pro-

duits chimiques agressifs (dont notamment

la teinte, lessolvants, les étiquettes engom-

mées et autoadhésives) et la chaleur for-

tepeuvent dégrader les qualités du produit

sans présenter de signes extérieurs.Dans

ce cas, par mesure de sécurité, remplacer

immédiatement l’article.

ACCESSOIRES N’utiliser que du matériel

conforme aux normes actuelles et spéciale

ment conçu pour l’escalade et l’alpinisme,

et suivre strictement leur mode d’emploi.

DURÉE DE VIE ET ÉLIMINATION DU MATÉ-

TRIEL Le casque doit être minutieusement

contrôlé avant et après chaque utilisation

afin de vérifier la présence éventuelle de

dégâts et d’usures. La durée de vie du

matériel ne peut pas être définie à l‘avance,

dufait qu‘elle dépend de plusieurs facteurs,

comme de la fréquence del‘usage, de

l‘entretien, des conditions climatiques etc.

En principe leproduit doit être remplacé

immédiatement :

d‘uso, trattamento, fattori atmosferici. La

sostituzione si rende necessaria immedia-

tamente nei seguenti casi:

– successivamente ad una caduta par-

ticolarmente violenta con pressione

meccanica estrema

– a seguito del contatto con sostanze

chimiche

– crepe e ammaccature sulla superficie

del casco

– crepe nel sottogola, nel girotesta, nelle

fibbie e nel meccanismo di chiusura

– in caso di usura (uso ecccessivo)

– nel caso di sporco eccessivo ed

irreversibile

Nel caso di impiego normale e corretto, al

di fuori di seri danni causati da elementi

esterni, il prodotto dovrebbe essere sosti-

tuito al più tardi dopo 6.

UTILIZZO Come indossare il chaschetto:

Il casco consente una regolazione varia-

bile per adattarsi a dimensioni diverse

della testa e dei copricapo. Dopo averlo

indossato, è necessario procedere alla

regolazione del casco. La protezione ot-

timale è garantita soltanto una volta che il

casco è stato adattato correttamente alle

dimensioni della testa.

– Indossare il casco e regolare il girotesta

con il meccanismo di chiusura finché

il casco non arriva ad assicurare un

sostegno comodo e sicuro per la testa

(vedere immagine 1).

– Muovendo entrambe le fibbie laterali

sulle fettucce, regolare la posizione

del sottogola (vedere immagine 2). Per

la regolazione è possibile spostare la

fettuccia anche sul punto di aggancio

posteriore.

– Chiudere e stringere il sottogola (vedere

immagine 3).

Questo casco di protezione è stato ideato

appositamente ed esclusivamente per es-

sere utilizzato per arrampicate su rocce,

arrampicate su ghiaccio e alpinismo. Il

casco è stato fabbricato in modo tale da

proteggere la testa dalla caduta di pietre,

ghiaccio e altri oggetti. È necessario so-

stituire il casco in caso abbia ricevuto un

forte colpo. Attenzione: il casco potrebbe

aver subito gravi danni senza che ciò

risulti visibile esternamente; non appe-

na insorgono dubbi sulla sicurezza del

casco, smettere di utilizzarlo. Per fissare

una lampada frontale posizionare la fascia

elastica della lampada sotto al dispositivo

di fissaggio (vedere immagine 2).

Avec un stockage optimal et lors d‘un

usage peu fréquent, le produitdoit être

échangé au plus tard après 6 ans.

UTILISATION Réglage de votre casque:

La plage de réglage du casque permet

un réglage variable selon les dimensions

de têtes différentes. Le casque doit être

ajusté après son port.La protection opti-

male n‘est atteinte que si le casque a été

correctementajusté aux dimensions de la

tête du porteur.

– Mettre le casque et ajuster le tour

de tête grâce au système deréglage,

jusqu‘à ce que le casque atteigne un

arrêt sécurisé et soitagréable à porter

sur la tête (voir figure 1).

– Ajuster la position de la courroie de

menton par le déplacement desdeux

boucles latérales sur les bandes (voir

figure 2). La bande peutaussi être

déplacée pour s’adapter au point

d‘ancrage arrière.

– Fermer et serrer le serrementon (voir

figure 3).

Ce casque de protection est présenté

spécialement et exclusivement pourl‘uti-

lisation pour l’escalade de rochers, glace

et alpinisme. La construction a été conçue

pour protéger la tête contre les éclats,

chute de glace etobjets tombant. Le

casque doit être remplacé après de forts

chocs. Attention : les dégâts critiques au

casque ne doivent pas être reconnais-

sablesextérieurement ; ne plus utiliser

le casque dés qu’il y a des doutes sursa

sécurité. Pour la fixation d’une lampe de

front, pousser son élastiquesous les col-

liers (voir figure 2).

Le seguenti indicazioni sono da leggere

accuratamente e da osservare nel modo

più rigoroso. Il prodotto illustrato di se-

guito è stato sviluppato specificatamente

per l’alpinismo e per l’arrampicata e non

esonera dai rischi ai quali ci si espone

personalmente.

ATTENZIONE

Ogni persona che utilizza materiali Mam-

mut di qualunque genere è personalmente

responsabile per l’apprendimento del cor-

retto impiego tecnico. Ogni utilizzatore si

assume in pieno i rischi a cui è esposto

ed accetta totalmente la responsabilità per

ogni danneggiamento e/o qualsiasi lesione

e ferimento possano risultare durante l’uti-

lizzo degli articoli Mammut. Il produttore ed

il commerciante respingono ogni addebito

nel caso di abuso, negligenza, uso inap-

propriato e/o manipolazione. Le seguenti

direttive sono di aiuto per il corretto utiliz-

zo di questo prodotto. Poiché non possono

essere elencate con rigore ed assoluta

completezza ogni eventualità di errore e di

impiego non corretto, queste informazioni

non sostituiscono l’esperienza, la prepara-

zione, l’addestramento ed il buon senso

dell’utilizzatore. Qualora vengano eliminati

o modificati uno o più componenti originali

del casco, questo diventa inutilizzabile.

L’uso del casco non esclude il pericolo di

subire ferite gravi o perfino mortali.

CUSTODIA E TRASPORTO Le migliori con-

dizioni per preservare il materiale sono: un

luogo asciutto, buio, al fresco e fuori dal

sacco di trasporto. Non esporre ad irradia-

mento diretto, a sostanze chimiche, a fonti

di calore e sforzi meccanici.

PULITURA Lavare a mano i prodotti sporchi

in acqua tiepida con un sapone neutrale o

con l’aggiunta di una piccola quantità di

detersivo per capi delicati. Sciaquare bene

e lasciare asciugare all’ombra. Per la puli-

zia, la manutenzione o la disinfezione del

casco usare esclusivamente sostanze che

non possano danneggiare né il casco né la

persona che lo indossa.

INFLUENZA DEI PRODOTTI CHIMICI E IN-

FLUSSI DELL’AMBIENTE Evitare asso-

lutamente il contatto con acidi, solventi

e altri reattivi oppure con fonti di calore.

Attenzione: prodotti chimici aggressivi (tra

gli altri colori, solventi, etichette gommate

e autoadesive) oppure il calore eccessivo

possono danneggiare le caratteristiche del

prodotto senza che ciò sia visibile ester-

namente. Conseguentemente al contatto

con tali sostanze il prodotto va sostituito

immediatamente.

ACCESSORI Impiegare esclusivamente

accessori per l’alpinismo e l’arrampicata

sportiva cor ripondenti alla normativa di

legge ed attenersi alle direttive die sin-

goli prodotti.

CONTROLLO E MANUTENZIONE Dopo ogni

utilizzo il casco dev’essere controllato

accuratamente per verificare la presenza

di danni e di segni di usura e logoramen-

to. Durata e sostituzione Non è possibile

determinare preventivamente la durata

posta a molteplici fattori quali frequenza
