SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

Elektrische Geräte nicht in Kinderhände

Lassen Sie Kinder niemals unbeaufsichtigt elektrische

Geräte benutzen.

Batterien/Akkus können bei Verschlucken lebensge-

fährlich sein. Bewahren Sie deshalb das Gerät und die

Batterien für Kleinkinder unerreichbar auf. Wurde

eine Batterie verschluckt, muss sofort medizinische

Hilfe in Anspruch genommen werden.

Halten Sie auch die Verpackungsfolien von Kindern

fern. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr.

Das Gerät sicher benutzen

Beim Autofahren

Stellen Sie die Lautstärke nur so laut ein, dass Sie auf

Straßen- und Verkehrssituationen reagieren können.

Beim Autowaschen

Setzen Sie das Gerät niemals Wasser oder extrem ho-

her Feuchtigkeit aus. Dies kann zu Kurzschlüssen

oder zur Beschädigung des Geräts führen.

Zu dieser Anleitung

Lesen Sie vor Inbetriebnahme die Sicherheitsvorschrif-

ten aufmerksam durch. Beachten Sie die Warnungen

auf dem Gerät und in der Bedienungsanleitung.

Bewahren Sie die Bedienungsanleitung immer in Reichweite

auf. Wenn Sie das Gerät verkau

Beim Parken

Durch Parken in direktem Sonnenlicht können sehr

hohe Temperaturen im Fahrzeuginneren entstehen.

Lassen Sie das Gerät stets etwas abkühlen, ehe Sie es

benutzen.

Stromverbindung

Dieses Gerät wird mit 12 V Gleichstrom und negativer

Masse betrieben, was dem allgemein üblichen

Stromsystem in europäischen Automodellen ent-

spricht.

Das Diskfach schonend behandeln

Führen Sie keine anderen Gegenstände als CDs/

DVDs in das Diskfach ein. Dies kann zur Beschädi-

gung des präzisen Einzugmechanismus führen.

Netzanschluss zugänglich lassen

Schließen Sie das Gerät nur an eine gut erreichbare

Steckdose (230 V ~ 50 Hz) an, die sich in der Nähe

des Aufstellortes befindet. Für den Fall, dass Sie das

Gerät schnell vom Netz nehmen müssen, muss die

Steckdose frei zugänglich sein.

Um Stolperfallen zu vermeiden, verwenden Sie keine

Verlängerungskabel.

Niemals selbst reparieren

Ziehen Sie bei Beschädigungen des Steckers, der An-

schlussleitung oder des Geräts sofort den Stecker aus

der Steckdose.

Versuchen Sie auf keinen Fall, das Gerät selber zu öff-

nen und/oder zu reparieren. Es besteht die Gefahr

des elektrischen Schlags. Wenden Sie sich im Stö-

geeignete Fachwerkstatt.

Der DVD-Spieler

Der DVD-Spieler ist ein Laserprodukt der Klasse 1.

Das Gerät ist mit einem Sicherheitssystem ausgerü-

stet, das das Austreten von gefährlichen Laserstrah-

len während des normalen Gebrauchs verhindert.

Um Augenverletzungen zu vemeiden, manipulieren

oder beschädigen Sie niemals das Sicherheitssystem

des Geräts.

Batterien umweltgerecht entsorgen

Verbrauchte Batterien gehören nicht in den Haus-

müll. Die Batterien müssen bei einer Sammelstelle

für Altbatterien abgegeben werden.

Das Gerät reinigen

Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung ein trockenes, wei-

ches Tuch. Benutzen Sie keine chemischen Lösungs-

und Reinigungsmittel, weil diese die Oberfläche

und/oder die Beschriftungen des Geräts beschädi-

gen können.

ALLGEMEINES

Über DVD

Die DVD - Digital Versatile Disc (englisch für „vielsei-

tige digitale Scheibe“) ist ein digitales Speichermedi-

um für Informationen. DVDs sind durch eins der

nebenstehenden Symbole gekennzeichnet.

Abhängig davon, wie die Informationen aufgebracht

sind, ergeben sich verschiedene DVD-Typen mit un-

terschiedlichen Speicherkapazitäten.

DVD-Aufbau

Video-DVDs sind in Titel und Kapitel unterteilt. Eine

DVD kann mehrere Titel haben, die wiederum aus

mehreren Kapiteln bestehen können. Titel und Kapi-

tel sind jeweils fortlaufend nummeriert:

Normalerweise besteht der erste Titel einer DVD aus

Lizenzhinweisen und Informationen zum Hersteller.

Der nächste Titel ist meist der Film selbst. Weitere Ti-

tel können z. B. „Making-Of“-Reportagen, Filmvor-

schauen oder Informationen zu den Schauspielern

enthalten.

Sprachen und

Untertitel

Auf DVDs können bis zu acht Sprachen und Unterti-

tel in bis zu 32 Sprachen gespeichert werden. Spra-

che und Untertitel können bei der Wiedergabe

beliebig kombiniert werden.

Blickwinkel Bei manchen DVDs kann sogar der Blickwinkel geän-

dert werden, sofern der Film mit unterschiedlichen

Kamerapositionen aufgenommen wurde.

Regionalcodes

Aufgrund weltweiter Vertriebsstrategien wurde für

die DVD ein Code entwickelt, der das Abspielen nur

auf Geräten erlaubt, die in bestimmten Regionen er-

worben wurden.

Dieser Code basiert auf einem System, das die Welt

in sechs Regionen einteilt. Europa gehört zur Zone 2.

Auf Ihrem DVD-Player lassen sich daher DVDs abspie-

len, die mit dem Regionalcode 2 versehen sind. Der

Regionalcode ist auf der Verpackung der DVD aufge-

druckt (siehe nebenstehendes Logo).

Außer DVDs mit dem Regionalcode 2 lassen sich nur

DVDs mit dem Regionalcode 0 (geeignet für jeden

DVD-Player) auf dem Gerät wiedergeben.

Sollten beim Abspielen bestimmter DVDs Pro-

bleme auftreten, versichern Sie sich, dass die

DVD den Ländercode 2 oder 0 hat.

Andere spielbare Formate

MP3

Das MP3-Format ist ein Kompressionsformat für Au-

dio-Daten. MP3-Dateien müssen zur Erkennung mit

den entsprechenden Dateierweiterung *.mp3 abge-

speichert sein.

Im Gegensatz zu einer herkömmlichen Audio-CD

können MP3-CDs – wie eine Daten-CD für den Com-

puter – in Verzeichnisse (Ordner, Alben) und Dateien

(Tracks, Titel) unterteilt sein.

Verfügbare Surround-Tonformate

Das Gerät kann zwei Surround-Tonformate lesen.

Dolby Digital 5.1

Beim Dolby-Digital-Tonformat wird das Audiomate-

rial digital gespeichert. Dabei werden bis zu fünf se-

parate Vollfrequenz-Audiokanäle (vorne links und

rechts, Mitte, hinten links und rechts) sowie ein Ef-

fekt- bzw. Tiefenkanal (5.1) separat gespeichert. Ton-

träger im Dolby-Digital-Format sind mit

nebenstehendem Warenzeichen gekennzeichnet.

Da jeder Kanal vollkommen unabhängig ist, wird ein

realistisches Klangfeld mit einem „dreidimensiona-

len“ Hörgefühl geschaffen, wodurch der Ton Di-

stanz, Bewegung und eine relative Position im Raum

erhält.

Ihr Gerät kann diese Audiodaten lesen und gibt sie

über den Digitalausgang aus.

niger verbreitetes Tonformat, mit dem ebenfalls bis

zu sechs (5.1) getrennte Kanäle auf einem Tonträger

gespeichert werden. Tonträger im dts-Format sind

mit nebenstehendem Warenzeichen gekennzeich-

net.

Ihr Gerät kann diese Audiodaten lesen und leitet sie

zur Dekodierung an die digitalen Ausgänge weiter

(Koaxialausgang).

INSTALLATION

Dieser DVD-Player ist sowohl für den Betrieb im

Haus, als auch im Auto geeignet.

Wenn Sie das Gerät im Auto betreiben wollen, be-

achten Sie die folgenden Montageghinweise.

Montage im Auto

Befestigen Sie den DVD-Player in einer horizontalen

Position im Autoinnenraum, wobei die die Vordersei-

te nicht steiler als 30° nach oben geneigt sein sollte.

• Entfernen Sie zunächst mit einem Kreuzschrauben-

dreher die beiden Sicherungsschrauben auf der

Oberseite des Geräts.

• Bringen Sie die beiden Montagewinkel mit den mit-

gelieferten Schrauben (M4x5) an den Seiten des

Gehäuses an.

• Befestigen Sie nun das Gerät mit den mitgelieferten

Schrauben (M5x25) im Innenraum Ihres Fahr-

zeugs. Setzen Sie dazu jeweils zwei Schrauben links

und rechts vom Gehäuse in die Bohrungen 1,2,3

oder 4 ein und drehen Sie sie leicht an.

• Nun können Sie das Gerät nach rechts und links

ausrichten, soweit es die Langlöcher 1,2,3 und 4

zulassen. Wenn das Gerät richtig positioniert ist,

ziehen Sie die Schrauben fest an.

Wenn Sie alle Anschlüsse des DVD-Players vorge-

nommen haben, schliessen Sie den TFT-Monitor wie

unten beschrieben an:

Linke Seite des Monitors

Schliessen Sie den 12 V Stecker des AV-Kabels an die

DC 12 V Buchse am Monitor an. Stecken Sie das an-

dere Kabelende in die DC 12 V OUTPUT Buchse des

DVD-Players an.

Wenn Sie eine Steuerung über den Monitor bevorzu-

gen, verbinden Sie Monitor und DVD-Player über das

Übertragungskabel für Fernbedienungssignale. Der

IR-Sensor am Monitor gibt nun Fernbedienungssi-

gnale an den DVD-Player weiter.

Rechte Seite des Monitors

Verbinden Sie nun den roten, weißen und gelben

Stecker des AV-Kabels mit den entsprechenden Ein-

gängen am Monitor. Falls Sie eine Videoübertragung

im S-Video Format herstellen wollen, beachten Sie,

dass neben dem S-Video Kabel für eine Tonübertra-

gung die AUDIO L/R Anschlüsse von Monitor und

Player über das AV-Kabel miteinander verbunden

sein müssen.

Den Monitor in Betrieb nehmen

Wenn alle Anschlüsse richtig verbunden sind, schal-

ten Sie zuerst den DVD-Player ein, wie im folgenden

Kapitel beschrieben.

• Schalten Sie nun den Monitor mit der Taste

POWER ein.

• Stellen Sie Lautstärke, Farbsättigung, Helligkeit und

Kontrast wie gewünscht über die Regler am Moni-

tor ein.

• Wenn Sie Kopfhörer benutzen wollen, stecken den

Stecker des Kopfhörerkabels in eine der beiden

PHONE-Buchsen an den Seiten des Geräts und stel-

len Sie die Lautstärke wie gewünscht ein. Bei ange-

schlossenem Kopfhörer schalten sich die

Lautsprecher des Monitors automatisch ab.

• Wenn Sie den DVD-Player nicht mehr benutzen,

schalten Sie auch den Monitor aus.

INBETRIEBNAHME

Batterien in die Fernbedienung einlegen

Für die Fernbedienung sind zwei Mignon 1,5 V-Batte-

rien (Größe AAA) mitgeliefert.

• Schieben Sie den Batteriefachdeckel auf der Rück-

seite der Fernbedienung in Pfeilrichtung ab.

• Legen Sie die Batterien so ein, dass der Minuspol

der Batterien an den Federn anliegt.

• Schieben Sie den Batteriefachdeckel wieder auf.

Die beiliegenden Batterien dürfen nicht gela-

den, nicht auseinander genommen, in Feuer ge-

worfen oder kurzgeschlossen werden.

Batterien können bei Verschlucken lebensge-

fährlich sein. Bewahren Sie Batterien und Fern-

bedienung daher für Kleinkinder unzugänglich

auf. Wurde eine Batterie verschluckt, muss so-

fort ärztliche Hilfe gesucht werden.

Die Fernbedienung benutzen

• Halten Sie die Fernbedienung in Richtung des IR-

Sensors an der Vorderseite des DVD-Players.

• Die Empfangswinkel des IR-Sensors beträgt 30° in

jede Richtung von der Gerätefront aus.

Das Gerät einschalten

• Schliessen Sie den Netzstecker des Ladegeräts an

eine gut erreichbare Steckdose 230 V ~ 50 Hz an.

• Wenn Sie das Gerät im Auto betreiben, stellen Sie

Zündung Ihres Fahrzeugs in die Position ON um die

Stromversorgung einzuschalten.

• Drücken Sie die Taste POWER, um das Gerät ein-

zuschalten.

Gerätefront Mit den Tasten an der Gerätefront können Sie die

wesentlichen Funktionen Ihrem Geräts aktivieren. Sie

können also Disks abspielen, unterbrechen und

stoppen sowie vorwärts und rückwärts „skippen“.

Tasten an der

Fernbedie-

nung

Die Fernbedienung bietet über diese Grundfunktio-

nen hinaus zahlreiche zusätzliche Bedienelemente

für die volle Funktionalität Ihres Geräts.

Wiedergabefunktionen

Eine CD/DVD abspielen

• Schalten Sie das Gerät ein, wie vorher beschrieben.

• Legen Sie eine CD/DVD mit der bedruckten Seite

nach oben in das Diskfach ein. Der DVD-Player liest

nun die Disk ein, und beginnt automatisch mit der

Wiedergabe.

Disk auswerfen

Drücken Sie die Taste EJECT auf der Fernbedienung

oder an der Gerätefront, um die Disk wieder auszu-

werfen.

In dieser Anleitung beziehen wir uns bei der

Beschreibung der Tasten auf die Fernbedie-

nung, da die Fernbedienung (mit Ausnahme

des Netzschalters) alle Funktionen des Geräts

umfasst. Wenn die Tasten am Gerät gemeint

sind, wird dies ausdrücklich gesagt.

STOP - Wiedergabe anhalten

• Drücken Sie die Taste STOP, um die Wiedergabe

anzuhalten. Mit PLAY setzen Sie die Wiedergabe

ab der angehaltenen Stelle fort.

• Drücken Sie die Taste STOP zweimal, um die Wie-

dergabe zu beenden. Wenn Sie nun die Taste

PLAY drücken, beginnt die Wiedergabe von vorn.

Suchfunktionen

SEARCH - Schnelllauf

• Drücken Sie während der Wiedergabe die Taste

SEARCH oder , um den Schnelllauf vor-

wärts oder rückwärts zu starten. Mit jedem Tasten-

druck schalten Sie eine Schnelllaufstufe weiter.Auf

dem Bildschirm erscheinen das Schnelllaufsymbol,

sowie die Schnelllaufstufe:

SLOW - in Zeitlupe vorwärts/rückwärts

Drücken Sie während der Wiedergabe die Taste

SLOW oder SLOW .

Mit jedem Tastendruck schalten Sie eine Zeitlupen-

stufe weiter:

• Drücken Sie während der Wiedergabe die Taste

GOTO einmal. Auf dem Bildschirm erscheint fol-

gende Eingabeleiste:

• Geben Sie mit den Zifferntasten die Nummer des

Kapitels ein, von dem aus Sie den Film abspielen

möchten.

• Bestätigen Sie Ihre Eingabe mit ENTER. Der Film

wird nun ab dem angegebenen Kapitel abgespielt.

• Drücken Sie die Taste GOTO zweimal. Auf dem

Bildschirm erscheint folgende Eingabeleiste:

• Geben Sie mit den Zifferntasten den Zeitpunkt ein,

von dem aus Sie den Film abspielen möchten.

gende Eingabeleiste:

von dem aus Sie die VCD/CD abspielen möchten.

CD wird nun ab dem eingebenden Zeitpunkt abge-

spielt.

Wiederholfunktionen

REPEAT - Wiederholen

DVD-Betrieb:

Drücken Sie mehrmals die Taste Repeat um eine der

folgenden Wiederholfunktionen zu verwenden:

CHAPTER REPEAT ON: Das aktuelle Kapitel wird wie-

derholt.

TITLE REPEAT ON: Der aktuelle Titel wird wiederholt.

REPEAT OFF: Zurück zur normalen Wiedergabe.

A-B - Einen bestimmten Abschnitt wiederholen

Mit der Taste A-B können Sie einen selbstdefinierten

Abschnitt auf einer CD/DVD wiederholen.

• Drücken Sie die Taste A-B am Anfang der zu wie-

derholenden Stelle. Auf dem Bildschirm erscheint

die Anzeige: „A toB SET A“, was bedeutet, dass der

Anfangspunkt des gewüschten Abschnitts gesetzt

wurde.

• Drücken Sie die Taste A-B ein weiteres Mal, um den

Endpunkt des gewünschten Abschnitts zu setzen.

Auf dem Bildschirm erscheint die Anzeige: „AtoB

SET B“. Der ausgewählte Abschnitt wird nun end-

los wiederholt.

• Wenn Sie die Taste A-B ein drittes Mal drücken,

kehren Sie zur normalen Wiedergabe zurück. Auf

dem Bldschirm erscheint die Anzeige „AtoB CAN-

CELLED“.

ZOOM - Bildansicht vergrößern

• Drücken Sie die Taste ZOOM. Auf dem Bildschirm

erscheint der Vergrößerungsfaktor. Das Bild wird

mittig vergrößert.

ZOOM einmal drücken: Vergrößerungsfaktor 1.5x

ZOOM zweimal drücken: Vergrößerungsfaktor 2.0x

ZOOM dreimal drücken: Vergrößerungsfaktor 3.0x.

Benutzen Sie die Navigationstasten, um den Bildaus-

schnitt nach oben, unten, rechts und links zu bewe-

gen.

ANGLE - Kameraposition wechseln

Auf wenigen DVDs sind einzelne Szenen aus ver-

schiedenen Kamerapositionen aufgenommen.

• Drücken Sie die Taste ANGLE, um die Funktion zu

aktivieren. Sofern die Szene verschiedene Blickwin-

kel enthält, werden das Symbol sowie der aktuelle

Blickwinkel/die Gesamtzahl der Blickwinkel einge-

blendet.

• Drücken Sie ANGLE erneut, um auf die nächste Ka-

meraposition umzuschalten. Nach wenigen Sekun-

den wechselt das Bild.

Klangfunktionen

MUTE - Ton ein-/ausschalten

Drücken Sie die Taste MUTE, um den Ton auszu-

schalten. Durch erneutes Drücken der Taste MUTE

schalten Sie den Ton wieder ein.

VOLUME +/- - Lautstärke regeln

Drücken Sie die Tasten VOLUME+/- an der Geräte-

front oder auf der Fernbedienung, um die Lautstärke

zu erhöhen bzw. herunterzuregeln.

Random/Program/Source und Reset

RANDOM - Zufällige Wiedergabe (nur CD/MP3)

Drücken Sie die Taste RANDOM. Auf dem Bildschirm

erscheint die Anzeige „SHUFFLE ON“. Die Titel der

CD werden nun in zufälliger Reihenfolge abgespielt.

Drücken Sie die Taste RANDOM noch einmal um die

Funktion auszuschalten. Auf dem Bildschirm er-

scheint die Anzeige „SHUFFLE OFF“.

PROGRAM - Titelreihenfolge programmieren

(nur CD/MP3)

Schalten Sie das Gerät in den Stoppmodus, indem

Sie die Taste STOP zweimal drücken.

Drücken Sie nun die Taste PROGRAM. Auf dem Bild-

schirm erscheint die Anzeige „PROGRAM P00:00“.

Geben Sie nun mit den Zifferntasten die Nummer

des Titels ein, der zuerst abgespielt werden soll.

Wenn Sie z. B. die Taste 4 gedrückt haben, wechselt

die Anzeige zu „PROGRAM P01:04“, was bedeutet,

das an erster Stelle der Titel 4 abgespielt wird.

Geben Sie mit den Zifferntasten weitere Titel ein und

starten Sie die Wiedergabe mit PLAY.

SOURCE - Wiedergabequelle auswählen

• Drücken Sie die Taste SOURCE an der Gerätefront

oder die Taste MODE auf der Fernbedienung, um

zwischen den Eingängen DVD, AV1 und AV2 zu

wählen. Am Gerät leuchtet die entsprechende An-

zeige.

RESET - auf Werkseinstellung zurücksetzen

Drücken Sie die Taste RESET an der Gerätefront mit

einem Kugelschreiber oder einem ähnlichen spitzen

Gegenstand, um das Gerät auf die Werkseinstellun-

gen zurückzusetzen. Diese Funktion ist bei folgen-

den Situationen zu verwenden:

- Erstinbetriebnahme/Neuinstallation, wenn alle

Kabelverbindungen hergstellt sind.

- Tasten zeigen keine Funktion.

- Error Symbol im Display.

Audiosprache, falls mehrere Sprachen auf der DVD

vorhanden sind.

- Die Anzahl der Audiosprachen kann je nach DVD

unterschiedlich sein.

- Einige DVDs enthalten nur eine Audiosprache.

- Wenn keine andere Audiosprache auf der DVD

Auf dem Bildschirm erscheint die akuell gewählte

Einstellung. Drücken Sie die Taste AUDIO wiederholt

um die folgdenden Einstellungen durchzuschalten.

MONO L: Es wird ein Monosignal auf dem linken Ka-

nal ausgegeben.

MONO R: Es wird ein Monosignal auf dem rechten

Kanal ausgegeben.

STEREO: Es wird ein Stereosignal auf dem linken und

rechten Kanal ausgegeben.

TITLE - Titelmenü aufrufen

Wenn auf einer DVD mehrere Titel vorhanden sind,

können Sie einen einzelnen Titel über das Titelmenü

direkt auswählen.

Drücken Sie während der Wiedergabe die Taste TIT-

LE. Das Titelmenü wird angezeigt.

Wählen Sie mit den Navigationstasten einen Titel aus

und bestätigen Sie ihre Auswahl mit ENTER. Der ge-

wünschte Titel wird nun abgespielt.

SUBTITLE - Untertitelsprache wählen

Drücken Sie während der Wiedergabe die Taste

SUBTITLE. Mit jedem weiteren Tastendruck rufen

Sie die nächste Untertitelsprache auf.

MP3-Disks abspielen

Die Anlage besitzt einen eingebauten MP3-Decoder.

Sie können damit MP3-CDs abspielen.

• Legen Sie eine MP3-CD ein. Auf dem Bildschirm er-

scheint ein Menü mit der obersten Ordnerstruktur

auf der CD. Das Navieren in der Ordnerstruktur ist

nicht während der Wiedergabe möglich; drücken

Sie gegebenenfalls STOP.

Sofern die MP3-CD Ordner enthält, werden sie auf-

der linken Seite des Menüs aufgeführt:

• Vergewissern Sie sich, das sich das Gerät im Stopp-

modus befindet und wählen Sie mit den Navigati-

onstasten auf der Fernbedienung einen Ordner aus

(z. B. CD01, CD02, ...).

der drei Wiederholfunktionen einzustellen:

REP-ONE: Der aktuelle Titel wird wiederholt

FOLDER REP: Der gesamte Ordner wird wiederholt.

FOLDER: Alle Titel des aktuellen Ordners werden ein-

mal abgespielt

Wenn Sie im MP3-Menü den Eintrag PLAY MODE

auswählen, können Sie mit den Navigationstasten

die folgenden Wiedergabearten einstellen:

Verwenden Sie die Tasten SKIP und SKIP ,

um den nächsten/vorherigen Titel im Verzeichnis

auszuwählen. Mit den Tasten SEARCH und

SEARCH starten Sie den Suchlauf vorwärts

bzw. rückwärts.

Hinweis:

Sie können keine Ordner während der Wiedergabe

auswählen. Schalten Sie den DVD-Player hierzu mit

der STOP-Taste in den Stopp-Modus.

NORMAL/PS: Auswahl für Fernseher mit 4:3-Format.

Das Pan Scan- Format stellt 16:9-Filmformate in voller

Höhe dar, seitliche Bildanteile werden abgeschnit-

ten.

NORMAL/LB:Auswahl für Fernsehgeräte mit 4:3-For-

mat. Das Letterbox-Format verkleinert das 16:9-Film-

format auf Bildschirmbreite.

WIDE (16:9):Auswahl für Fernsehgeräte im 16:9-For-

mat.

PIC MODE - Bildqualität einstellen

AUTO: Wählen Sie diese Einstellung, um die Bildqua-

lität automatisch, je nach eingelegter DVD anzupas-

sen.

HI-RES: Wählen Sie diese Einstellung, um Bilder in der

höchsten Bildqualität anzuzeigen.

zuzeigen, wenn die Taste ANGLE während der Wie-

dergabe einer DVD mit Multi-Angle Funktion

gedrückt wird.

Wenn Sie den Eintrag OFF wählen, wird kein Symbol

für die ANGLE-Funktion angezeigt.

OSD LANG - Menüsprache wählen

Wählen Sie mit den Navigationstasten eine Menü-

sprache aus.

CAPTIONS - Untertitel anzeigen

Wählen Sie den Eintrag ON, um auf der DVD vorhan-

dene Untertitel während der Wiedergabe anzuzei-

gen.

Wählen Sie den Eintrag OFF, um die Untertitel auszu-

blenden.

SCR SAVER - Bildschirmschoner ein-/ausschalten

Wählen Sie den Eintrag ON, um den Bildschirmscho-

ner zu aktivieren. Der Bildschirmschoner schaltet sich

nun ein, wenn für etwa 1 Minute lang keine Eingabe

erfolgt.

Um den Bildschirmschoner auszuschalten, wählen

Sie den Eintrag OFF.

DOWNMIX - Dolby-Surround-Ausgabe einstellen

LT/RT: Es werden der linke und der rechte Kanal

ausgegeben. Wählen Sie diese Einstellung für ein Au-

dioausgabe im Dolby-Surround-Format.

STEREO: Es wird ein Stereoton ausgegeben. Wäh-

len Sie diese Einstellung für eine Audioausgabe im

herkömmlichen Stereo-Format.

Menü AUDIO-Setup

AUDIO OUT - Audioausgabe einstellen

Wählen Sie die Einstellung ANALOG, um die analoge

Audioausgabe zu aktivieren.

Für eine digitale Audioausgabe über den Digital-Au-

dio-Ausgang (Koaxialausgang) wählen Sie den Ein-

trag SPDIF/RAW aus. Für diese Art der Ausgabe muss

die DVD ebenfalls digitale Audioformate unterstüt-

zen.

Wählen Sie SPDIF/PCM, wenn eine Verbindung zu ei-

nem digitalen Verstärker/Receiver besteht. Ihr Recor-

der überträgt durch das PCM-Signal dieselben

Audio-Formate, die auf der Disk abgelegt sind. Zu-

sätzlich wird ein Audio-Signal über den L/R-Ausgang

ausgegeben.

OP MODE - Pegelmodulation

• Wählen Sie den Eintrag LINE OUT, für eine Audio-

ausgabe mit digitaler Dialog-Normalisation.

• Wählen Sie den Eintrag RF REMOD, für eine Audio-

ausgabe mit starker Kompression und digitaler Dia-

log-Normalisation.

Es wird empfohlen LINE OUT einzustellen.

DRC - Dynamic Range Control

Mit dieser Funktion schalten Sie die Dynamic Range

Compression (DRC) für die Audiowiedergabe bei

Nacht ein. DRC reduziert die Unterschiede zwischen

„normalen“ Geräuschen, wie z.B. Unterhaltungen

und besonders lauten Geräuschen wie z.B. Explosio-

nen. Dadurch können Sie auch bei normaler Laut-

stärke einen Film ansehen ohne Ihre Nachbarn zu

wecken.

LPCM OUTPUT

LPCM 48K: Wenn der digitale Koaxial-Ausgang be-

nutzt wird ("Heimkino-Anschluss"), werden Medien,

die mit einer Frequenz von 96 kHz codiert sind, mit

48 kHz wiedergegeben.

LPCM 96K: Die Medien werden in ihrer Original-Fre-

quenz wiedergegeben. Es ist empfohlen, diese Ein-

stellung zu wählen.

TV TYPE - Fernsehstandard auswählen

Dieser DVD-Player kann DVDs im PAL Format und im

NTSC Format lesen.

Wählen Sie den Eintrag NTSC, wenn der DVD-Player

an ein NTSC-Fernsehgerät angeschlossen ist.

Wählen Sie den Eintrag PAL, wenn der DVD-Player an

ein PAL-Fernsehgerät angeschlossen ist.

Wählen Sie die Einstellung AUTO, um stets den Fern-

sehstandard der DVD auszugeben.

AUDIO - Audiosprache wählen

Wählen Sie mit den Navigationstasten eine Audio-

sprache aus.

gnalen der von der Motion Picture Association eta-

Hier können Sie ein Passwort eingeben, um den Zu-

gang für andere Personen zu kontrollieren.

• Wählen Sie den Eintrag CHANGE aus und bestäti-

gen Sie mit ENTER.

• Geben Sie das alte Passwort mit den Zifferntasten

ein. Das werkseitige Passwort lautet: 3308.

• Geben Sie nun im zweiten Feld ein neues, vierstel-

liges Passwort ein und geben Sie es zur Bestätigung

im nächsten Feld noch einmal ein.

• Verlassen Sie die Passworteingabe mit ENTER.

While your car is parked

Parking your car in direct sunlight can lead to very

high temperatures inside the vehicle. Always allow

the unit to cool down a little before using it.

Electricity supply

The unit is designed to operate with a 12 V DC

negatively earthed power supply, the normal system

used in European vehicles.

Handle the disc mechanism with care

Never place any objects other than CDs or DVDs into

the disc mechanism. These can damage the

precision-engineered closure mechanism.

Ensure that the mains power socket is

easily accessible.

Only connect the unit to a power point (230 V ~ 50

Hz) that is easy to reach and is close to the place

where you have set the unit up. The power socket

must be freely accessible so that you can unplug the

unit quickly if you should need to do so.

To avoid tripping hazards, please avoid using

extension cables.

Never undertake your own repairs

If the plug, cable or unit is damaged, immediately

remove the plug from the power supply.

Never try to open and/or repair the unit yourself.

There is a risk of electric shock. If there is a defect

contact our service centre or other suitable specialist

repair service.

The DVD player is a first class laser product. The unit

has a safety system that prevents dangerous laser

rays from escaping from the unit during normal use.

In order to avoid injury to the eyes never manipulate

or damage the unit's security system.

rubbish. The batteries should be deposited at a

collection point for used batteries.

Cleaning the unit

Use a dry soft cloth to clean the devices. Avoid the

About DVDs

A DVD - Digital Versatile Disc - is a digital medium

that stores information. DVDs are marked with one of

the symbols shown here.

There are different types of DVD with different

storage capacities depending on the how the

information is stored.

DVD structure

Video DVDs are divided into titles and chapters. A

DVD may contain several titles, which may in turn be

made up of several chapters. The titles and chapters

are each numbered sequentially:

The first title of a DVD usually comprises licence

details and manufacturer's information. The next

title is usually the film itself. Other titles may include

such items as "making of" documentaries, film

previews, or information on the actors.

Languages

and subtitles

Up to eight languages and subtitles in as many as 32

different languages can be stored on DVDs. Any

combination of languages and subtitles can be

selected for playing back discs.

Camera angles Some DVDs even allow the viewer to select multiple

camera angles provided that the film was recorded

from different camera positions.

Regional codes

For reasons connected with DVD sales globally, a

code has been developed for DVDs that allows the

recording to be played only on units purchased in a

particular region.

This code is based on a system that divides the world

into six regions. As Europe is in Zone 2, your DVD

player will only play DVDs that have the regional

code 2. The regional code is printed on the DVD

packaging. (See the logo shown here.)

Apart from DVDs with the regional code 2 the unit

will only play DVDs with the regional code 0

(suitable for any DVD player).

If you have any difficulty when playing a partic-

ular DVD, check that it has the regional code 2

or 0.

Other playable formats

MP3

The MP3 format is a compression format used for

audio data. MP3 files can only be played if they have

been saved with the file extension *.mp3.

Unlike traditional audio CDs, MP3 CDs can be

subdivided into directories (folders, albums) and files

(tracks, titles) - just like a data CD on your computer.

Available surround sound formats

The unit recognises two different surround sound

formats.

Dolby Digital 5.1

In the Dolby Digital sound format the audio material

is stored digitally. In this instance, up to five separate

full-frequency audio channels (front left and front

right, centre, rear left and rear right) as well as an

effect or depth channel (5.1) are stored separately.

Discs and media recorded in the Dolby Digital format

are marked with the trademarks shown here.

Because each channel is completely independent, a

realistic, almost "three-dimensional" effect is

produced, creating the impression of distance,

movement, and relative position in the room.

Your player can read this audio data and transmits it

via the digital output.

dts (Digital Theater Systems)

The dts abbreviation refers to a less frequently used

sound format in which up to six (5.1) separate

channels are stored on a disc or other type of audio

INSTALLATION

This DVD player is suitable for use either at home or

in the car.

If you wish to use the player in the car, please note

the following points relevant to installation.

Installation in the car

Position the DVD player in a horizontal position

inside the car, ensuring that the front is not tilted

upwards at an angle of more than 30°.

• First remove the two security screws on the top of

the player using a Phillips®-type screwdriver.

• Fasten the two installation brackets to the sides of

the unit using the screws (M4 x 5) supplied.

• Now secure the player within your vehicle using

the other screws (M5 x 25) supplied. Ensure that

two screws are placed in each of the slots marked

1, 2, 3, and 4 on the left-and right-hand sides of the

unit, and screw them loosely in.

• You can now gently reposition the player to the left

When you have set up all of the connections for the

DVD player, connect the TFT monitor as follows:

Left-hand side of the monitor

Insert the AV cable's 12 V plug in the DC 12 V socket

on the monitor. Insert the other end of the cable in

the DC 12 V OUTPUT socket on the DVD player.

If you prefer to operate the controls via the monitor

connect the monitor and DVD player using the

remote control signal transmission cable. The

monitor's IR sensor will now transmit remote control

signals to the DVD player.

Now insert the red, white, and yellow plugs on the

AV cable in the corresponding sockets on the

monitor. If you wish to set up video transmission

using an S-video connection, please note that as well

as the S-Video cable you will also need to connect the

monitor's and DVD player's AUDIO L/R sockets with

each other using the AV cable.

Operating the monitor

Once all of the connections have been properly

made, first switch on the DVD player as described in

the following section.

• Switch on the monitor by pressing the POWER

button.

• Adjust volume, colour, brightness, and contrast to

your preferred levels using the controls on the

monitor.

• If you wish to use headphones, insert the end of the

headphone cable in one of the two PHONE sockets

on the sides of the player and set the volume to the

preferred level. The loudspeakers on the monitor

are automatically switched off when headphones

are connected.

• When you finish using the DVD player, you should

also switch off the monitor.

OPERATING THE DVD PLAYER

Insert the batteries in the remote control.

Two 1.5 V batteries (AAA size) are supplied for the

remote control.

• Open the battery compartment by sliding the pan-

el on the back of the remote control in the direction

of the arrow.

• Insert the batteries so that the negative end is

placed next to the springs.

• Close the battery compartment.

The batteries supplied should not be charged,

disassembled, thrown into a fire, or short-

circuited.

If swallowed, batteries may endanger life. For

these reasons keep the batteries and remote

control out of reach of children. If a battery is

swallowed, please obtain immediate medical

assistance.

Using the remote control

• Point the remote control towards the infrared sen-

sor on the front of the DVD player.

• The infrared sensor can pick up signals aimed at the

front of the player within an angle of up to 30°.

Switching on the player

• Only connect the mains adapter on the charger to

an easily accessible 230 V ~ 50 Hz power socket.

• When using the player in the car, set your vehicle's

ignition to the "on" position in order to activate the

power supply.

• Press the POWER button to switch the player on.

Operating the player using the controls on

the player or remote control

Buttons on the

front of the

player

You can activate the main functions of the player

using the buttons on the front of the unit. With these

you can play, pause, and stop discs as well skip

backwards and forwards.

control also provides numerous additional options

for controlling to the full range of functions offered

by your DVD player.

Playback functions

To play CDs or DVDs

• Switch on the player as described above.

• Insert a disc into the disc compartment with the ti-

tle side facing upwards. The DVD player will now

read the disc and automatically begin to play it.

To eject the disc

Press the EJECT button on the remote control on

the remote control or front of the unit in order to

eject the disc.

These instructions refer to the controls

available using the buttons on the remote

control, as these cover all of the player's

functions. If reference is made to the controls

on the DVD player itself, this will be clearly

indicated.

STOP - To stop playback

• Press the STOP button to pause playback of the

disc. By pressing PLAY, you can restart playback

from the point at which the disc was paused.

• Press the STOP button twice in order to stop play-

back completely. If you now press PLAY, playback

resumes from the start of the disc.

Search functions

SEARCH - To enable rapid searching

• During playback, press the SEARCH or

button to locate a particular section by fast-for-

warding or rewinding. Each time you press the but-

ton, the speed will increase correspondingly. The

"search" symbol will appear on the screen together

with the search speed.

SKIP - To "skip" titles, tracks, and chapters

During playback, press SKIP to miss out a title

or chapter, or use the SKIP button, to skip back

The SKIP function cannot be used with some

SLOW - To move forwards or backwards in slow

motion (DVD only)

During playback press the SLOW or SLOW .

Each time you press the button the disc will play or

rewind at a progressively slower speed.

GOTO - To select a particular scene

DVD operation:

• During playback press the GOTO button once. The

following options appear on the screen:

• Using the number buttons enter the number of the

chapter where you want to start viewing the film.

• Confirm your selection with ENTER. The film will

now start playing from the chapter selected.

• Press the GOTO button twice. The following op-

tions appear on the screen:

• Using the number buttons enter the point during

the film from which you want to play the film.

• Confirm your selection with ENTER. The film will

now start playing from the point selected.

VCD and CD operation

• During playback press the GOTO button once. The

following options appear on the screen:

• Using the number buttons enter the point during

the film from which you want to play the VCD or

CD.

• Confirm your selection with ENTER. The VCD or

CD will now start playing from the time selected.

Repeat functions

REPEAT - To repeat particular sections

DVD operation:

Press the "repeat" button several times in order to

select the following repeat functions:

CHAPTER REPEAT ON: To repeat the current chapter.

TITLE REPEAT ON: To repeat the current title.

REPEAT OFF: To return to normal playback.

A-B - To repeat a specified section

By pressing the A-B button you can repeat a freely

definable section on a CD or DVD.

• Press A-B at the start of the section you wish to re-

peat. The following display appears on the screen:

"A to B SET A" - This means that the starting point

of your chosen section has been selected.

• Press the A-B button again in order to select the

end of your chosen section. The following display

appears on the screen: "A to B SET B". The selected

section will now be repeated continuously.

• By pressing A-B a third time, you can return to nor-

mal playback. The words "A to B CANCELLED" now

appear on the screen.

Picture functions

ZOOM - To zoom in on the picture

• Press the ZOOM button. The enlargement ratio ap-

pears on the screen. The image is enlarged from the

middle outwards.

Press ZOOM once: Enlargement ratio 1.5x

Press ZOOM twice: Enlargement ratio 2.0x

Press ZOOM three times: Enlargement ratio 3.0x

Use the navigation buttons to move the section of

the picture in view up, down, to the right, or to the

left.

ANGLE - To change the camera angle

On some DVDs certain scenes have been recorded

from multiple camera angles.

• Press ANGLE to activate this function. If multiple

camera angles are available, then both the symbol

and the currently selected camera angle/total

number of camera angles are displayed.

• Press ANGLE again to switch to the next camera

angle. The image changes after a few seconds.

Sound functions

MUTE - To switch the sound on or off

Press the MUTE button to turn the sound off.

Pressing MUTE again will switch the sound back on.

VOLUME +/- - To adjust the volume

Press the VOLUME+/- buttons on the front of the

player or on the remote control in order to increase

or lower the volume.

Random/Program/Source and Reset

RANDOM - Random playback (CDs/MP3s only)

Press the RANDOM button. The words "SHUFFLE

ON" are displayed on the screen. Tracks on the CD

will now be played in random order.

Press RANDOM again to switch off this function. The

words "SHUFFLE OFF" are now shown on the screen.

PROGRAM - To program the order of tracks (CDs/

MP3s only)

Select the stop mode by pressing the STOP button

twice.

Now press PROGRAM. The screen now displays

"PROGRAM P00:00".

Using the number buttons, now enter the number of

the track you want to hear first.

If, for example, you have pressed button 4, the

display will change to "PROGRAM P01:04". This

indicates that track 4 will be played first.

Enter more tracks using the number buttons and

start playback by pressing PLAY.

SOURCE - To select the input source

• Press the SOURCE button on the front of the play-

er or MODE on the remote control to select from

the DVD, AV1 and AV2 inputs. The corresponding

display lights up on the player.

RESET - To return the player to its original

settings

Press RESET on the front of the player with the tip

of a ballpoint pen or other pointed object to return

the player to its original factory settings. This

function should be used in the following situations:

- On setting up the player for the first time or

reinstalling it, if:

All off the cables have been connected.

- Pressing the buttons fails to select any functions

- An error symbol is displayed.

During playback press DISPLAY to show

information on the content of the current CD/DVD.

AUDIO - To select audio options

DVD operation:

During playback, press AUDIO on the remote

control or on the front panel of the player. Each time

you press the button, the audio language changes

provided that multiple languages are available on

the DVD.

Note:

- The number of audio languages can vary

depending on the particular DVD.

- Some DVDs offer only one audio language.

If no other audio language is available on the DVD

the symbol in- appears in the top left corner of the

screen.

VCD and CD operation:

During playback, press AUDIO on the remote

control or on the front panel of the player.

The screen now shows the currently selected

settings. Press the AUDIO button repeatedly to scroll

through the following audio options.

MONO L: A mono signal is transmitted via the left

channel.

MONO R: A mono signal is transmitted via the right

channel.

STEREO: A stereo signal is transmitted via the left and

right channels.

TITLE - To select the title menu

If a DVD contains many titles, you can select

individual titles directly from the title menu.

During playback press the TITLE button. The title

menu is displayed.

Using the navigation buttons select a title and

activate your title by pressing ENTER. Your chosen

title will now be played.

SUBTITLE - To select the subtitle language

During playback press the SUBTITLE button. By

pressing the button again you can select the next

subtitle language, and so on.

Note:

- The number of subtitle languages can vary

depending on the particular DVD.

- Some DVDs offer only one subtitle language.

- If no other subtitle language is available on the

DVD the symbol appears in the top left corner

of the screen.

Playing MP3 discs

The player has a built-in MP3 decoder. This enables

MP3 CDs to be played back.

• Insert an MP3 CD in the player. A menu showing

the top-level folders saved on the CD appears on

the screen. It is not possible to navigate through

the folder structure during playback. Instead you

should press the STOP button if necessary.

If the MP3 CD contains any folders, these will now be

listed on the left-hand side of the menu:

• After checking that the player is now in stop mode,

select a folder (for example, CD01, CD02, etc.) us-

ing the navigation buttons on the remote control.

• Activate your selection by pressing ENTER and, us-

ing the navigation buttons, select a track from the

right-hand column of the folder you have opened.

Repeatedly press the REPEAT button to select one

of the three repeat functions:

REP-ONE: The current title will be repeated.

FOLDER REP: The whole folder will be repeated.

FOLDER: All tracks in the current folder will be played

once.

If PLAY MODE is selected from the MP3 menu, you

can select the following playback options using the

navigation buttons:

Use SKIP and SKIP to select the next or

previous track in the folder. Use the SEARCH

and SEARCH buttons to locate particular tracks

by moving forwards or backwards through the

folder.

Note:

It is not possible to select folders during playback. To

do this, you should switch the DVD player to stop

mode by pressing the STOP button.

Now press the SETUP button. The main menu

shown above is now displayed on the screen.

Menu - GENERAL SETUP

TV display - To set the picture format

NORMAL/PS: Selection for televisions with 4:3

format. If the Pan Scan format is selected, films with

a 16:9 format will be shown at full height with the left

and right edges of the picture cropped from view.

NORMAL/LB:Selection for televisions with 4:3

format. If letterbox format is selected, the 16:9 film

format is scaled down to fit the width of the screen.

WIDE (16:9):Selection for televisions with 16:9

format.

PIC MODE - To set the picture quality

AUTO: If this setting is selected, the picture quality

will be set automatically in line with the DVD being

played.

HI-RES: This setting will allow films to be played at

the highest possible picture resolution.

N-FLICKER: Select this option if the picture quality is

poor or there is "noise" from the picture.

ANGLE MARK - To switch on or off the camera

angle symbol

Select ON to display the symbol if the ANGLE

button is pressed during playback of a DVD with

multi-angle viewing options. If OFF is selected, then

the ANGLE symbol will not be shown on the screen.

OSD LANG - To select the menu language

Using the navigation buttons select a menu

language.

CAPTIONS - To select subtitles

Select ON to display subtitle options available on the

DVD during playback.

Select OFF to remove subtitles from the screen.

SCR SAVER - To switch on or off the screen saver

Select ON to activate the screen saver. The screen

saver will now come on if no further selection is

made for a period of one minute.

In order to switch the screen saver off, select the OFF

option.

DOWNMIX - To select Dolby Surround sound

LT/RT: The left and right audio channels are used.

Select this option for audio output in the Dolby

Surround sound format.

STEREO: This option produces stereo sound is

produced. Select this option for audio output in

standard stereo format.

Menu - AUDIO SETUP

AUDIO OUT - To set the audio output options

Select the ANALOG option to activate analogue

audio output.

For digital sound outputs via the digital audio output

(coaxial output), select the SPDIF/RAW option. For

this type of output the DVD will also need to support

digital audio formats.

Select SPDIF/PCM if the player is connected to a

digital amplifier or receiver. Your recorder will

transmit the same audio formats as are stored on the

disc by means of a PCM signal. In addition, an audio

signal will be transmitted via the L/R outputs.

OP MODE - Level adjustment

Select LINE OUT for audio output with digital

dialogue normalisation.

Select RF REMOD for audio output with high

compression and digital dialogue normalisation.

We recommend that LINE OUT is selected.

DRC - Dynamic Range Control

This function allows you to select Dynamic Range

Compression (DRC) for audio playback at night. DRC

reduces the differences between "normal" noises,

such as conversations and unusually loud noises

such as explosions. This will enable you to watch a

film at normal volume levels without disturbing the

neighbours.

LPCM OUTPUT

LPCM 48K: If the digital coaxial output is used

("Home cinema" connection), discs that are encoded

with a frequency of 96 kHz are played with a

frequency of 49 kHz.

LPCM 96K: Discs are played with their original

frequency. This is the recommended setting.

This DVD player can play back DVDs produced in

either PAL or NTSC formats.

Select NTSC if the DVD player is attached to an NTSC

standard television set.

Select PAL if the DVD player is attached to an PAL

standard television set.

Select is AUTO so that the television standard used

for the DVD is adopted automatically.

PARENTAL - Parental control

Here you can set the authorisation level for DVDs

(parental control).

Some DVDs and CDs are encoded with encryption

signals in line with the authorisation classes

established by the Motion Picture Association. The

eight authorisation classes are:

1 KID SAF:("Kid-safe") Suitable even for small children;

2 G: ("General") For all age groups;

3 PG: ("Parental guidance") Parental guidance recommended;

4 PG 13: Parental guidance strongly recommended;

Some scenes not suitable for children under 13;

5 PGR: ("Parental guidance restriction") Parental guidance

recommended for children and teenagers below 17;

6 R:("Restriction") Parental guidance strongly recommended for

children and teenagers below 17;

7 NC 17:Not suitable for young people under 17;

8 ADULT: For adults only.

AUS: No parental control coded.

If, for example, you insert a DVD coded with

authorisation class 7 (NC 17) or 8 (ADULT) and you

have selected authorisation classes 1 to 6,

a message stating "ACCESS DENIED" will appear and

a password will need to be entered. Parts of a DVD -

certain scenes, for example - may also be encoded

with an authorisation class or a range of

authorisation classes.

PASSWORD - To block use of the player

With this option a password can be entered so as to

restrict access to the player by others.

• Select CHANGE and confirm by pressing ENTER.

• Enter the old password using the number buttons.

The factory-set password is: 3308.

• Now enter a new four-digit password in the second

field and confirm it by re-entering it in the next

field.

• Quit the password entry menu by pressing

ENTER.

DEFAULTS - To return the player to its original

settings

Select RESET and confirm your selection by pressing

ENTER to return the DVD player to its factory

settings.

This function should be used in the following

situations:

- On setting up the player for the first time or

reinstalling it if all of the cables have been

connected.

- If pressing the buttons fails to select any functions.

- If an error symbol is displayed.

Check the mains connection: Is the plug firmly

inserted in the mains socket?

If the unit has been affected by a storm, static

charging or other external factor, try the

(standby mode). Then pull out the mains cable

and plug it back in.

The disc does not play

even though PLAY has

Is the disc inserted with the title facing

upwards?

Check whether the disc has been damaged by

trying another disc. If the disc is dirty, clean it

carefully, wiping it from the centre to the edge

with a soft, dry cloth.

DVD: Does the DVD have the correct regional

code (2)?

If condensation has formed: give the player

one to two hours to dry off.

The unit does not

respond to the remote

control

Check whether the batteries need changing

and have been inserted correctly. Remove

anything which may be blocking the signal

between the infrared transmitter, the remote

control and the unit's sensor.

Is the distance between the remote control and

the player too great (over 7 m)?

No picture Are the cable connections between the DVD

and television correct and undamaged?

Distorted picture Check whether the DVD is dirty and if

necessary clean it carefully, wiping it from the

centre to the edge with a soft, dry cloth. Slight

picture distortion is not a malfunction.

Highly distorted picture

No colour

Poor picture quality

Your DVD standard may not match your TV set

standard (PAL - NTSC, SETUP menu >

PREFERENCES > TV TYPE).

Incorrect image format

(4:3, 16:9)

In the SETUP menu > GENERAL SETUP > TV

DISPLAY, check whether the format selected

matches that of the TV set.

No sound Has the sound been switched off (MUTE)?

Sound too quiet Check the audio settings in the SETUP menu:

Change the language settings in the SETUP

Some DVDs disable the SKIP function for

certain titles or chapters.

The camera angle

cannot be changed.

Only a few discs allow camera angles to be

CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ

Appareils électriques et enfants

Ne laissez jamais les jeunes enfants utiliser des

appareils électriques sans surveillance.

Les piles/accus peuvent présenter un risque mortel

en cas d’ingestion. Conservez toujours l’appareil et

les piles hors de portée des jeunes enfants. En cas

d’ingestion d’une pile, faites immédiatement appel à

un médecin.

Conservez également les emballages en plastique

hors de portée des enfants. Ils pourraient s’étouffer.

Utiliser l’appareil de manière sûre

En voiture

Ne réglez pas le volume trop fort de manière à

pouvoir réagir de manière adéquate à ce qui se passe

sur la chaussée.

À propos de ce mode d’emploi

Avant de mettre en service l’appareil, lisez

attentivement les consignes de sécurité. Tenez compte

des mises en garde qui se trouvent sur l’appareil et

dans le mode d’emploi.

Conservez le mode d’emploi à un endroit accessible. Si vous

vendez ou donnez l’appareil, pensez à remettre également ce

Lorsque vous lavez votre véhicule

N’exposez jamais l’appareil à l’eau ou à une

humidité très importante. Cela peut entraîner des

courts-circuits ou endommager l’appareil.

En cas de stationnement

Lorsque vous vous garez en plein soleil, la

température peut s’élever considérablement à

l’intérieur du véhicule. Laissez toujours refroidir

l’appareil un moment avant de l’utiliser.

Alimentation électrique

L’appareil est alimenté en courant continu 12 V et

relié à la masse négative, ce qui correspond au

système d’alimentation électrique habituel sur les

modèles de voitures européennes.

Manipulation du compartiment à disque

N’introduisez pas d’objets autres que des CD ou des

DVD dans le compartiment à disque. Cela risquerait

d’endommager le mécanisme précis d’insertion.

Laisser la prise secteur accessible

Ne reliez l’appareil qu’à une prise de courant

aisément accessible (230 V ~ 50 Hz) située à

proximité de l’appareil. La prise de courant doit

rester accessible au cas où vous auriez besoin de

débrancher l’appareil rapidement.

N’utilisez pas de rallonge pour limiter les risques de

trébuchement.

Ne jamais réparer soi-même l’appareil

Si la fiche, le câble d’alimentation ou l’appareil est

endommagé, débranchez immédiatement la fiche

de la prise de courant.

N’essayez en aucun cas d’ouvrir et/ou de réparer

vous-même l’appareil. Risque de choc électrique ! En

cas de problème, adressez-vous à notre centre de

service après-vente ou à un atelier spécialisé.

Le lecteur de DVD

Le lecteur de DVD est un produit laser de classe 1.

L’appareil est équipé d’un système de sécurité qui

empêche la sortie de rayons laser dangereux lors

d’une utilisation normale. Pour prévenir tout risque

de blessure oculaire, prenez garde à ne jamais

manipuler ni abîmer le système de sécurité.

Éliminer correctement les piles

Les piles usagées ne sont pas des déchets

domestiques. Les piles doivent être déposées dans

un lieu de collecte des piles usagées.

Nettoyer l’appareil

Pour nettoyer l’appareil, utilisez un chiffon doux et

sec. N’utilisez pas de dissolvants ou de détergents

chimiques, car ils pourraient abîmer la surface et/ou

les inscriptions figurant sur l’appareil.

GÉNÉRALITÉS

À propos des DVD

Le DVD ou Digital Versatile Disc (littéralement :

« disque numérique multi-usages ») est un support

numérique de stockage d’informations. Les DVD

sont signalés par l’un des symboles représentés ci-

contre.

Selon la manière dont les informations sont

enregistrées sur le disque, on distingue différents

types de DVD à capacité de mémoire variable.

Structure des DVD

Les DVD vidéo sont divisés en titres et en chapitres.

Un DVD peut comporter plusieurs titres, eux-mêmes

constitués de plusieurs chapitres. Les titres et les

chapitres sont numérotés dans l’ordre :

Normalement, le premier titre du DVD comprend les

informations relatives à la licence et au fabricant. Le

titre suivant est généralement le film lui-même. Les

autres titres peuvent par exemple contenir des

reportages sur le tournage du film, des bandes-

annonces ou des informations sur les acteurs.

Langues et

sous-titres

Les DVD peuvent contenir jusqu’à huit langues et

des sous-titres dans 32 langues maximum. Vous

pouvez combiner librement les pistes audio et les

sous-titres lors de la lecture.

Angle Sur certains DVD, il est même possible de modifier

l’angle de vision si le film a été tourné avec

différentes positions de caméra.

Codes régionaux

En raison des stratégies de diffusion des œuvres au

niveau mondial, un système de code a été mis au

point pour les DVD afin que les disques ne puissent

être lus que sur les appareils achetés dans certaines

parties du monde.

Ce système de code repose sur une division du

monde en six zones. L’Europe fait partie de la zone 2.

Vous ne pourrez donc visionner sur votre lecteur de

DVD que les disques ayant le code régional 2. Le

code régional est imprimé sur l’emballage du DVD

(voir le logo ci-contre).

En dehors des DVD de code régional 2, vous pourrez

uniquement lire sur votre appareil les DVD de code

régional 0 (compatibles avec tous les lecteurs de

DVD).

Si vous rencontrez des problèmes pour lire

certains DVD, assurez-vous qu’ils sont bien de

code régional 2 ou 0.

Autres formats compatibles

MP3

Le format MP3 est un format de compression de

données audio. Pour pouvoir être identifiés par

l’appareil, les fichiers MP3 doivent être enregistrés

avec l’extension de fichier correspondante *.mp3.

À la différence des CD audio habituels, les CD MP3

peuvent être – de la même façon que les CD de

données pour ordinateur – découpés en dossiers

(répertoires, albums) et fichiers (plages, titres).

Formats sonores surround disponibles

L’appareil peut lire deux formats sonores surround.

Dolby Digital 5.1

Dans le format sonore Dolby Digital, les données

audio sont enregistrées sous forme numérique sur

un maximum de cinq canaux audio séparés à pleine

fréquence (avant gauche et droite, milieu, arrière

gauche et droite), ainsi que sur un canal à effets ou

basses séparé (5.1). Les supports audio au format

Dolby Digital sont signalés par le label ci-contre.

Comme tous les canaux sont parfaitement

indépendants, on obtient un univers sonore réaliste

avec une impression d’audition « en trois

dimensions », ce qui permet de rendre au niveau

dts (Digital Theater Systems)

Derrière l’abréviation dts se cache un format sonore

jusqu’à présent peu répandu qui permet là encore

d’enregistrer jusqu’à six (5.1) canaux séparés sur un

support audio. Les supports audio au format dts sont

signalés par le label ci-contre.

Votre appareil peut lire ces données audio et les

envoyer aux sorties numériques pour qu’elles soient

décodées (sortie coaxiale).

INSTALLATION

Ce lecteur de DVD est conçu pour être utilisé aussi

bien à la maison qu’en voiture.

Pour utiliser l’appareil en voiture, respectez les

consignes de montage suivantes.

Montage dans la voiture

Fixez le lecteur de DVD en position horizontale dans

l’habitacle en veillant à ce que l’avant de l’appareil

ne soit pas incliné de plus de 30° vers le haut.

• Commencez par retirer avec un tournevis

cruciforme les deux vis de sécurité situées sur la

partie supérieure de l’appareil.

• Fixez les deux équerres de montage sur les côtés du

boîtier à l’aide des vis fournies (M4x5).

• Montez ensuite l’appareil à l’intérieur du véhicule

avec les vis fournies (M5x25). Pour cela, placez

deux vis à droite et à gauche du boîtier dans les

alésages 1, 2, 3 ou 4 et vissez-les légèrement.

vers la droite dans les limites des trous oblongs 1,

2, 3 et 4. Une fois que l’appareil est positionné

correctement, serrez les vis.

Une fois que vous avez effectué tous les

branchements du lecteur de DVD, raccordez le

moniteur TFT comme indiqué ci-dessous :

Côté gauche du moniteur

Raccordez la fiche 12 V du câble AV à la prise DC 12 V

sur le moniteur. Reliez l’autre extrémité du câble à la

prise DC 12 V OUTPUT du lecteur de DVD.

Si vous préférez commander l’appareil directement à

partir du moniteur, reliez le moniteur et le lecteur de

DVD à l’aide du câble de transmission des signaux de

télécommande. Le capteur infrarouges situé sur le

moniteur enverra alors les signaux de télécommande

au lecteur de DVD.

Côté droit du moniteur

Reliez la fiche rouge, blanche et jaune du câble AV

aux entrées correspondantes sur le moniteur. Si vous

souhaitez que les données vidéo soient transmises

au format S-Vidéo, nous vous rappelons que vous

devez, en plus du câble S-Vidéo, raccorder les prises

AUDIO L/R du moniteur et du lecteur de DVD à l’aide

du câble AV pour avoir le son.

Mettre en service le moniteur

Une fois tous les branchements effectués,

commencez par mettre en marche le lecteur de DVD

comme indiqué au chapitre suivant.

• Allumez le moniteur à l’aide de la touche

POWER.

• Réglez le volume, la saturation des couleurs, la

luminosité et le contraste à votre convenance à

l’aide des boutons de réglage situés sur le

moniteur.

• Si vous désirez utiliser un casque, insérez la fiche du

casque dans l’une des deux prises PHONE sur le

côté de l’appareil et réglez le volume à votre

convenance. Lorsque le casque est raccordé, les

enceintes du moniteur sont automatiquement

désactivées.

• Quand vous ne vous servez plus du lecteur de DVD,

éteignez également le moniteur.

MISE EN SERVICE

Insérer les piles dans la télécommande

La télécommande est fournie avec deux piles

Mignon 1,5 V (taille AAA).

• Faites glisser le cache du compartiment à piles au

dos de la télécommande dans le sens de la flèche.

• Insérez les piles de manière à ce que le pôle moins

des piles soit en contact avec les ressorts.

• Remettez en place le cache du compartiment à

piles.

Les piles fournies ne doivent pas être

rechargées, démontées, jetées au feu ou court-

circuitées. En cas d’ingestion, les piles peuvent

être dangereuses pour la santé. Conservez les

piles et la télécommande hors de portée des

jeunes enfants. En cas d’ingestion d’une pile,

faites immédiatement appel à un médecin.

Utiliser la télécommande

• Dirigez la télécommande vers le capteur

infrarouges à l’avant du lecteur de DVD.

• L’angle de réception du capteur infrarouges est de

30° dans toutes les directions par rapport au plan

de l’appareil.

Allumer l’appareil

• Branchez la fiche secteur du chargeur sur une prise

de courant 230 V ~ 50 Hz facilement accessible.

• Si vous utilisez l’appareil en voiture, placez

l’allumage du véhicule en position ON pour activer

l’alimentation électrique.

• Pour allumer l’appareil, appuyez sur la touche

POWER.

Fonctions de lecture

Lire un CD/DVD

• Mettez en marche l’appareil comme décrit

précédemment.

• Insérez un CD/DVD dans le compartiment à disque

avec la face imprimée vers le haut. Le lecteur de

DVD lit les données figurant sur le disque et la

lecture démarre automatiquement.

Nous nous référerons par la suite aux

touches de la télécommande puisque celle-

ci comprend (à l’exception de

l’interrupteur d’alimentation) toutes les

fonctions de l’appareil. Lorsque le texte se

Éjecter le disque

Appuyez sur la touche EJECT de la télécommande

ou à l’avant de l’appareil pour éjecter à nouveau le

disque.

STOP – Arrêter la lecture

• Pour arrêter la lecture, appuyez sur la touche

STOP. Appuyez sur PLAY pour reprendre la

lecture au même endroit.

• Pour arrêter complètement la lecture, appuyez

deux fois sur la touche STOP. Si vous appuyez

alors sur la touche PLAY, la lecture reprendra du

début.

Fonctions de recherche

SEARCH – Avance rapide

• Durant la lecture, appuyez sur la touche SEARCH

ou pour lancer la lecture accélérée en

avant ou en arrière. Chaque fois que vous appuyez

sur la touche, la vitesse change d’un palier. Vous

voyez apparaître à l’écran le symbole de la lecture

accélérée, ainsi que l’indication de la vitesse :

SLOW – Lecture avant/arrière au ralenti

(sur DVD uniquement)

Durant la lecture, appuyez sur la touche SLOW

ou SLOW .

Chaque fois que vous appuyez sur la touche, la

vitesse du ralenti change d’un palier.

GOTO – Passer à une scène précise

Mode DVD :

• Durant la lecture, appuyez une fois sur la touche

GOTO. La barre de saisie suivante apparaît à

l’écran :

• À l’aide des touches numériques, entrez le numéro

du chapitre à partir duquel vous souhaitez

visionner le film.

• Confirmez en appuyant sur ENTER. La lecture du

film commence alors au chapitre indiqué.

• Confirmez en appuyant sur ENTER. La lecture du

film commence alors au moment indiqué.

Mode VCD/CD

• Durant la lecture, appuyez une fois sur la touche

GOTO. La barre de saisie suivante apparaît à

l’écran :

• À l’aide des touches numériques, indiquez à quel

moment doit commencer la lecture du VCD/CD.

• Confirmez en appuyant sur ENTER. La lecture du

VCD/CD commence alors au moment indiqué.

Appuyez plusieurs fois sur la touche Repeat pour

utiliser l’une des fonctions de répétition suivantes :

REPEAT OFF : retour à la lecture normale

A-B – Répéter un passage donné

La touche A-B vous permet de répéter un passage

défini par vos soins sur un CD/DVD.

• Appuyez sur la touche A-B lorsque la lecture arrive

au début du passage à répéter. Vous voyez

apparaître à l’écran la mention : « AtoB SET A », ce

qui signifie que l’appareil a enregistré le point de

départ du passage à répéter.

• Appuyez une nouvelle fois sur la touche A-Borsque

vous arrivez à la fin du passage à répéter. Vous

voyez apparaître à l’écran la mention : « AtoB SET

B ». Le passage sélectionné est alors lu en boucle.

• Appuyez une troisième fois sur la touche A-B pour

revenir en lecture normale. Vous voyez apparaître à

l’écran la mention : « AtoB CANCELLED ».

ZOOM – Agrandir l’image affichée

• Appuyer sur la touche ZOOM. Le facteur de

grossissement apparaît à l’écran. L’image est

agrandie au centre.

ANGLE – Changer la position de la caméra

Sur quelques rares DVD, certaines scènes ont été

filmées selon différentes perspectives.

• Appuyez sur la touche ANGLE pour activer cette

fonction. Si la scène contient différentes

perspectives, le symbole et l’angle actuel/le

nombre total d’angles de vision disponibles

s’affichent à l’écran.

• Pour passer à l’angle de caméra suivant, appuyez à

nouveau sur la touche ANGLE. L’image change au

bout de quelques secondes.

Fonctions audio

MUTE – Couper ou remettre le son

Appuyez sur la touche MUTE pour couper le son.

Pour remettre le son, appuyez à nouveau sur la

touche MUTE.

VOLUME +/- – Régler le volume

Appuyez sur les touches VOLUME+/- à l’avant de

l’appareil ou sur la télécommande pour augmenter

ou baisser le volume.

Random/Program/Source et Reset

RANDOM – Lecture aléatoire (CD/MP3

uniquement)

Appuyez sur la touche RANDOM. Vous voyez

apparaître à l’écran la mention « SHUFFLE ON ». Les

titres du CD sont alors lus dans un ordre aléatoire.

Appuyez à nouveau sur la touche RANDOM pour

désactiver la fonction. Vous voyez apparaître à

l’écran la mention « SHUFFLE OFF ».

PROGRAM – Programmer l’ordre des titres (CD/

MP3 uniquement)

Mettez l’appareil en mode Stop en appuyant deux

fois sur la touche STOP.

Appuyez alors sur la touche PROGRAM. Vous voyez

apparaître à l’écran la mention « PROGRAM P00:00 ».

À l’aide des touches numériques, indiquez le

numéro du titre à jouer en premier.

Si vous appuyez par exemple sur la touche 4,

l’affichage indique « PROGRAM P01:04 », ce qui

signifie que le titre 4 sera joué en premier.

Entrez les autres titres à l’aide des touches

numériques et lancez la lecture en appuyant sur

PLAY.

SOURCE – Sélectionner la source de lecture

• Appuyez sur la touche SOURCE à l’avant de

l’appareil ou sur la touche MODE de la

télécommande pour commuter entre les entrées

DVD, AV1 et AV2. La mention correspondante

apparaît dans l’affichage.

sélectionnée change (à condition qu’il y ait plusieurs

langues sur le DVD).

Remarque :

- Le nombre de langues disponibles peut varier

d’un DVD à l’autre.

- Certains DVD ne contiennent qu’une seule piste

audio.

- Si aucune autre langue audio n’est disponible sur

le DVD, le symbole @ apparaît dans le coin supérieur

gauche de l’écran.

Mode VCD/CD :

Durant la lecture, appuyez sur la touche AUDIO sur

la télécommande ou à l’avant de l’appareil.

Le réglage actuellement sélectionné s’affiche à

l’écran. Appuyez à nouveau sur la touche AUDIO

pour passer en revue les réglages suivants.

MONO L : signal mono sur le canal gauche.

MONO R : signal mono sur le canal droit.

STEREO : signal stéréo sur les canaux de gauche et de

droite.

TITLE – Ouvrir le menu des titres

Si un DVD contient plusieurs titres, vous pouvez

sélectionner directement un titre précis à l’aide du

menu des titres.

Appuyez sur la touche TITLE en cours de lecture. Le

menu des titres s’affiche.

À l’aide des touches de navigation, sélectionnez un

titre et confirmez avec ENTER. L’appareil lit alors le

titre de votre choix.

SUBTITLE – Sélectionner la langue des

sous-titres

Appuyez sur la touche SUBTITLE en cours de

lecture. Chaque fois que vous appuyez sur la touche,

la langue des sous-titres change.

Remarque :

- Le nombre de langues disponibles pour les sous-

titres peut varier d’un DVD à l’autre.

- Certains DVD ne contiennent qu’une seule langue

pour les sous-titres.

- Si aucune autre langue n’est disponible pour les

sous-titres sur le DVD, le symbole apparaît dans le

coin supérieur gauche de l’écran.

Lire des disques MP3

Le système possède un décodeur MP3 intégré. Vous

pouvez ainsi lire des CD MP3.

• Insérez un CD MP3. Vous voyez apparaître à l’écran

un menu avec le niveau supérieur de la structure

des dossiers figurant sur le CD. Il n’est pas possible

de naviguer dans la structure des dossiers en cours

de lecture ; au besoin, appuyez sur STOP.

Si le CD MP3 contient des dossiers, ceux-ci

apparaissent sur la gauche du menu :

• Assurez-vous que l’appareil est en mode Stop et

sélectionnez un dossier à l’aide des touches de

navigation de la télécommande (par exemple

CD01, CD02, …)

• Confirmez votre choix avec la touche ENTER et, à

l’aide des touches de navigation, sélectionnez un

titre dans la colonne de droite du dossier ouvert.

Appuyez plusieurs fois sur la touche REPEAT pour

régler l’une des trois fonctions de répétition :

REP-ONE : le titre en cours est répété

FOLDER REP : tout le dossier est répété

FOLDER : tous les titres du dossier en cours sont

joués une seule fois

Si vous sélectionnez la mention PLAY MODE dans le

menu MP3, vous pouvez régler les modes de lecture

l’arborescence. Appuyez sur les touches SEARCH

et SEARCH pour lancer la recherche

accélérée en avant ou en arrière.

Remarque :

Vous ne pouvez pas sélectionner de dossier en cours

de lecture. Pour cela, passez le lecteur de DVD en

mode Stop en appuyant sur la touche STOP.

TV Display – Réglage du format d’image

NORMAL/PS : sélection pour les téléviseurs au

format 4:3. Le format Pan Scan présente les films au

format 16:9 en hauteur normale, mais l’image est

coupée sur les côtés.

NORMAL/LB :sélection pour les téléviseurs au format

4:3. Le format Letterbox réduit le format 16:9 à la

largeur de l’écran.

WIDE (16:9) :sélection pour les téléviseurs au format

16:9.

PIC MODE – Réglage de la qualité de l’image

AUTO : sélectionnez ce réglage pour adapter

automatiquement la qualité de l’image en fonction

du DVD inséré dans l’appareil.

HI-RES : sélectionnez ce réglage pour afficher les

images en qualité maximale.

ANGLE MARK – Afficher/masquer le symbole de

l’angle de vision

Sélectionnez l’option ON pour afficher le symbole

lecture d’un DVD doté de la fonction multi-angles.

Sélectionnez l’option OFF si aucun symbole ne doit

s’afficher pour la fonction ANGLE.

OSD LANG – Sélectionner la langue du menu

À l’aide des touches de navigation, sélectionnez la

langue du menu.

CAPTIONS – Afficher les sous-titres

Sélectionnez l’option ON si les sous-titres qui

figurent sur le DVD doivent être affichés durant la

lecture.

Sélectionnez l’option OFF pour ne pas afficher les

sous-titres.

SCR SAVER – Activer/désactiver l’économiseur

d’écran

Sélectionnez l’option ON pour activer l’économiseur

d’écran. L’économiseur d’écran s’affichera alors si

aucune commande n’a été saisie au cours de la

dernière minute.

Pour désactiver l’économiseur d’écran, sélectionnez

l’option OFF.

DOWNMIX – Réglage du système Dolby-

Surround

LT/RT : les données audio sont émises sur les

canaux gauche et droit. Sélectionnez ce réglage pour

une sortie audio au format Dolby-Surround.

STEREO : le son est en stéréo. Sélectionnez ce

réglage pour une sortie audio au format stéréo

classique.

Menu AUDIO-Setup (configuration audio)

AUDIO OUT – Réglage du mode audio

Sélectionnez le réglage ANALOG pour activer la

sortie audio analogique.

Pour un son audio numérique par la sortie audio

numérique (sortie coaxiale), sélectionnez l’option

SPDIF/RAW. Dans ce cas, le DVD doit également

prendre en charge les formats audio numériques.

Sélectionnez l’option SPDIF/PCM si le système est

relié à un amplificateur/ampli-tuner numérique.

Grâce au signal PCM, votre système DVD transmet

les formats audio correspondants qui se trouvent sur

le disque. Un signal audio est en outre émis par la

sortie L/R.

OP MODE – Modulation du niveau

Sélectionnez l'option LINE OUT pour une sortie

audio avec normalisation numérique des dialogues.

Sélectionnez l'option RF REMOD pour une sortie

audio avec compression importante et normalisation

numérique des dialogues.

Nous recommandons le réglage LINE OUT.

DRC – Dynamic Range Control

Cette fonction vous permet d’activer la fonction

Dynamic Range Compression (DRC) lorsque vous

utilisez l’appareil de nuit. Le mode DRC réduit les

différences entre les bruits « normaux », par exemple

une conversation, et les bruits particulièrement forts,

comme les explosions. Ainsi, vous pouvez regarder

un film à volume normal sans déranger vos voisins.

LPCM OUTPUT

LPCM 48K : lorsque la sortie numérique coaxiale est

utilisée (« raccordement home-cinéma »), les médias

codés à une fréquence de 96 KHz sont lus à une

fréquence de 48 KHz.

LPCM 96K : les supports sont lus dans leur fréquence

d’origine. Il est recommandé de sélectionner ce

TV TYPE – Sélectionner la norme TV

Votre lecteur de DVD peut lire des DVD au format

PAL et NTSC.

Sélectionnez l’option NTSC lorsque le lecteur de

DVD est raccordé à un téléviseur NTSC.

Sélectionnez l’option PAL lorsque le lecteur de DVD

est raccordé à un téléviseur PAL.

Sélectionnez l’option AUTO pour que l’appareil se

règle automatiquement sur la norme TV du DVD.

Sélectionnez une langue audio à l’aide des touches

de navigation.

Sélectionnez la langue du menu ààà l’aide des

touches de navigation.

PARENTAL – Contrôle parental

Vous pouvez déterminer ici les catégories de DVD

dont la lecture est autorisée sur cet appareil (contrôle

parental).

Certains DVD et CD sont codés selon les catégories

établies par la Motion Picture Association. Ces

catégories sont au nombre de huit :

1 KID SAF :(« kid safe ») autorisé également pour les plus petits ;

2 G : (« General ») pour tous les âges ;

3 PG : (« Parental Guidance ») contrôle parental recommandé ;

4 PG 13 : contrôle parental fortement recommandé ;

certaines scènes peuvent heurter la sensibilité des jeunes de

moins de 13 ans ;

5 PGR : (« Parental Guidance Restriction ») contrôle parental

recommandé pour les jeunes de moins de 17 ans ;

6 R : (« Restriction ») contrôle parental fortement recommandé

pour les jeunes de moins de 17 ans ;

7 NC 17 : interdit aux moins de 17 ans ;

AUS : pas de contrôle parental.

Si un DVD est par exemple codé selon la catégorie 7

(NC 17) ou 8 (ADULT) et si vous avez activé une

catégorie d’autorisation comprise entre 1 et 6, la

mention ACCESS DENIED apparaît à l’écran et vous

devez entrer le mot de passe. Il arrive également que

seules certaines parties d’un DVD, c’est-à-dire

certaines séquences, soient codées selon une ou

plusieurs catégories.

PASSWORD – Verrouiller le lecteur

Vous pouvez ici entrer un mot de passe pour limiter

l’accès des autres personnes à l’appareil.

• Sélectionnez l’option CHANGE et confirmez en

appuyant sur ENTER.

• Entrez l’ancien mot de passe à l’aide des touches

numériques. Le mot de passe réglé par défaut est :

3308.

• Dans le deuxième champ, entrez ensuite un

nouveau mot de passe à quatre chiffres ; répétez la

saisie dans le champ suivant à titre de confirmation.

• Quittez la fenêtre de saisie du mot de passe en

appuyant sur ENTER.

DEFAULTS – Réinitialiser les réglages par défaut

Sélectionnez l’entrée RESET et confirmez par ENTER

pour réinitialiser les réglages par défaut du lecteur de

DVD.

Cette fonction doit être utilisée dans les situations

suivantes :

- lors de la première mise en service/réinstallation,

consulter la liste de lecture.

Sélectionnez le réglage NO MENU pour démarrer

immédiatement la lecture des disques MP3 sans

s’allume pas

Vérifiez le raccordement au secteur : la fiche

est-elle bien enfoncée dans la prise ?

Pas de fonction Appuyez sur POWER sur l’appareil ou la

télécommande.

Si l’appareil a été perturbé par un orage, une

accumulation de charge statique ou un autre

facteur externe, procédez comme suit :

appuyez sur POWER sur l’appareil (mode

veille). Débranchez le câble d’alimentation et

rebranchez-le.

Le disque ne démarre

pas lorsque vous

appuyez sur PLAY ou

bien il s’arrête aussitôt

Avez-vous bien placé la face imprimée vers le

haut ?

Vérifiez que le disque n’est pas abîmé en

faisant un essai avec un autre disque. Si le

disque est sale, nettoyez-le délicatement avec

un chiffon doux et sec en allant du centre vers

le bord.

DVD : le DVD a-t-il le bon code régional (2) ?

Si de la condensation s’est formée, laissez

sécher l’appareil durant une à deux heures.

L’appareil ne réagit pas

à la télécommande

Vérifiez que les piles ne sont pas usées et

qu’elles sont bien insérées dans la

télécommande. Retirez les éventuels obstacles

entre l’émetteur infrarouges, la télécommande

et le capteur de l’appareil.

Êtes-vous trop éloigné de l’appareil (plus de

7m)?

VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES

Houd elektrische apparaten buiten bereik

van kinderen

Laat kinderen nooit zonder toezicht elektrische

apparatuur gebruiken.

Batterijen/accu's kunnen bij inslikken levensgevaarlijk

zijn. Houd het apparaat en batterijen daarom buiten

bereik van kleine kinderen. Als een batterij is ingeslikt

moet direct medische hulp worden ingeroepen.

Zorg ook dat kinderen niet bij de plastic verpakking

kunnen komen - gevaar voor verstikking!

Zorg voor een veilig gebruik van het

apparaat

Bij het autorijden

Stel het geluidsniveau zodanig in dat u kunt

reageren op situaties op straat of in het verkeer.

Bij het wassen van de auto

Stel het apparaat nooit bloot aan water of een zeer

vochtige omgeving. Dit kan leiden tot kortsluiting of

beschadiging van het apparaat.

Over deze handleiding

Lees de veiligheidsadviezen goed door voordat u het

apparaat in gebruik neemt. Houd u aan de

waarschuwingen op het apparaat en in de handleiding.

Bewaar de handleiding zodat u deze altijd bij de hand hebt. Geef

deze handleiding erbij als u het apparaat aan iemand anders

overdoet.

Veiligheidsinstructies

Bij het parkeren

Als u het voertuig in de volle zon parkeert kan het

binnen erg warm worden. Laat het apparaat altijd

een tijdje afkoelen voordat u het gaat gebruiken.

Voeding

Dit apparaat werkt op 12 V gelijkstroom, met de

negatieve pool aan de massa. Dit is het gebruikelijke

systeem bij Europese automodellen.

Behandel de disklade met zorg

Plaats geen andere voorwerpen dan CD's of DVD's

in de disklade. Dit kan leiden tot beschadiging van

het uiterst nauwkeurige sluitmechanisme.

Zorg ervoor dat de netaansluiting

bereikbaar blijft

Sluit het apparaat alleen aan op een goed bereikbaar

stopcontact (230 V ~ 50 Hz) vlakbij de plaats van de

installatie. Als het apparaat snel stroomvrij moet

worden gemaakt, moet het stopcontact vrij

toegankelijk zijn.

Gebruik, om struikelen te voorkomen, geen

verlengsnoeren.

Nooit zelf repareren

Trek bij beschadiging van stekker, aansluitkabel of

apparaat meteen de stekker uit het stopcontact.

Probeer in geen geval zelf het apparaat te openen

en/of te repareren. Daardoor bestaat kans op

elektrische schokken. Neem bij storingen contact op

met ons Service Center of een ander deskundig

reparatiebedrijf.

ALGEMEEN

Over DVD

De DVD - Digital Versatile Disc (Engels voor

"veelzijdige digitale schijf") is een digitaal

opslagmedium voor informatie. DVD's zijn

herkenbaar aan een van de hiernaast weergegeven

symbolen.

Afhankelijk van de wijze waarop de informatie op de

schijf is gezet zijn er verschillende DVD-typen met

verschillende opslagcapaciteiten.

Opbouw van een DVD

Video-DVD's zijn onderverdeeld in titels en

hoofdstukken. Een DVD kan meerdere titels bevatten

die op hun beurt weer uit verschillende

hoofdstukken kunnen bestaan. Titels en

hoofdstukken zijn steeds doorlopend genummerd.

Normaal gesproken bestaat de inhoud van de eerste

titel van een DVD uit licentievermeldingen en

informatie over de fabrikant. De volgende titel is

meestal de film zelf. Andere titels zijn bijvoorbeeld

"Making of"-reportages, previews van films of

informatie over de acteurs.

Talen en

ondertitels

Op DVD's kunnen maximaal acht talen en

ondertitels in maximaal 32 talen worden

opgeslagen. Taal en ondertitels kunnen bij het

afspelen naar believen worden gecombineerd.

Camera-

posities Bij sommige DVD's met films die zijn opgenomen

met verschillende cameraposities kan zelfs de

gezichtshoek worden gewijzigd.

Regiocodes

Op basis van wereldwijde verkoopstrategieën is voor

de DVD een code ontwikkeld die ervoor zorgt dat de

DVD alleen kan worden afgespeeld in apparaten die

in een bepaalde regio zijn aangeschaft.

Deze code is gebaseerd op een systeem waarbij de

wereld is onderverdeeld in zes regio's. Europa maakt

deel uit van zone 2. Op uw DVD-speler kunt u

derhalve DVD's afspelen die zijn voorzien van

regiocode 2. De regiocode wordt afgedrukt op de

verpakking van de DVD (zie het nevenstaande logo).

Behalve DVD's met regiocode 2 kunnen alleen DVD's

met regiocode 0 (geschikt voor elke DVD-speler)

worden weergegeven op het apparaat.

Als bij het afspelen van bepaalde DVD's proble-

men optreden, controleert u of de DVD de land-

code 2 of 0 heeft.

Andere afspeelbare indelingen

MP3

De MP3-indeling is een compressie-indeling voor

audiogegevens. MP3-bestanden moeten worden

opgeslagen met de extensie. *.mp3, zodat zij als

zodanig herkenbaar zijn.

In tegenstelling tot een standaard audio-CD kunnen

MP3-CD's, net als een data-CD voor de computer,

zijn onderverdeeld in directory's (mappen, albums)

en bestanden (tracks, titels).

Beschikbare surround-geluidsindelingen

Het apparaat kan twee surround-geluidsindelingen

lezen.

Dolby Digital 5.1

Bij de Dolby Digital-geluidsindeling wordt het

audiomateriaal digitaal opgeslagen. Hierbij worden

maximaal vijf afzonderlijke audiokanalen met een

volledig frequentiebereik (linksvoor, rechtsvoor,

midden, linksachter en rechtsachter), alsmede een

effect- resp. baskanaal (5.1) apart opgeslagen.

Geluidsdragers in Dolby Digital-indeling zijn

voorzien van het nevenstaande handelsmerk.

Aangezien elk kanaal volledig onafhankelijk is,

ontstaat een realistisch geluidsveld met een

"driedimensionaal" klankbeeld, waardoor het geluid

afstand, beweging en een relatieve positie binnen de

ruimte krijgt.

Uw apparaat kan deze audiogegevens lezen en via

de digitale uitgang uitvoeren.

DTS (Digital Theater Systems)

De afkorting DTS staat voor een tot dusver minder

algemeen gebruikte geluidsindeling waarmee

eveneens tot zes (5.1) gescheiden kanalen op een

geluidsdrager worden opgeslagen. Geluidsdragers

in DTS-indeling zijn voorzien van het nevenstaande

handelsmerk.

Uw apparaat kan deze audiogegevens lezen en ze

voor decodering doorsturen naar de digitale

uitgangen (coaxuitgang).

INSTALLATIE

Deze DVD-speler kan zowel in huis als in de auto

worden gebruikt.

Als u het apparaat in de auto wilt gebruiken, moet u

zich aan de volgende montage-instructies houden.

Montage in de auto

Bevestig de DVD-speler in een horizontale positie in

het interieur van de auto. Zorg er daarbij voor dat de

voorzijde niet meer dan 30° naar boven wijst.

• Verwijder vervolgens met een kruiskopschroeven-

draaier de twee borgschroeven aan de bovenkant

van het apparaat.

• Monteer de twee montagehoeken met behulp van

de meegeleverde schroeven (M4 x 5) aan de zijkant

van de behuizing.

• Bevestig het apparaat vervolgens met de meege-

leverde schroeven (M5 x 25) in het interieur van uw

voertuig. Schroef daarvoor twee schroeven links en

rechts van de behuizing in de boorgaten 1, 2, 3 en

4 en draai de schroeven lichtjes aan.

• Nu kunt u het apparaat naar rechts en links bewe-

gen voor zover de langsgaten dit toelaten. Als het

apparaat in de juiste stand staat draait u de schro-

even stevig vast.

Als de DVD-speler volledig is aangesloten, sluit u de

TFT-monitor aan op de hieronder beschreven wijze:

Linkerkant van monitor

Sluit de 12 V stekker van de AV-kabel aan op de 12 V

gelijkstroomaansluiting van de monitor. Sluit het

andere kabeluiteinde aan op de DC 12 V OUTPUT-

aansluiting van de DVD-speler.

Als u de voorkeur geeft aan besturing via de monitor,

sluit u monitor en DVD-speler op elkaar aan via de

kabel voor signalen van de afstandsbediening. De IR-

sensor op de monitor geeft nu signalen voor

afstandsbediening door aan de DVD-speler.

Rechterkant van monitor

Steek vervolgens de rode, witte en gele stekker van

de AV-kabel in de bijbehorende uitgangen van de

monitor. Als u videobeelden wilt weergeven in S-

Video-indeling, moet u erop letten dat niet alleen de

S-Video-kabel moet worden aangesloten, maar dat

ook de AUDIO L/R-aansluitingen van monitor en

speler met elkaar moeten worden verbonden via de

AV-kabel (voor geluidsweergave).

De monitor in gebruik nemen

Als alle aansluitingen correct met elkaar zijn

verbonden, schakelt u eerst de DVD-speler in, zoals

in het volgende hoofdstuk wordt beschreven.

• Schakel vervolgens de monitor in met de toets

POWER.

• Stel via de regelaars op de monitor de gewenste

waarden in voor volume, kleurverzadiging, helder-

heid en contrast.

• Als u een koptelefoon wilt gebruiken, steek u de

stekker van de koptelefoonkabel in één van beide

PHONE-aansluitingen aan de zijkanten van het ap-

paraat en stelt u het gewenste volume in. Als de ko-

ptelefoon is aangesloten, worden de luidsprekers

van de monitor automatisch uitgeschakeld.

• Als u de DVD-speler niet meer gebruikt, schakelt u

ook de monitor uit.

INGEBRUIKNEMING

Batterijen in de afstandsbediening doen

Bij de afstandsbediening worden twee micro-

batterijen 1,5 V (R03 - AAA-formaat) meegeleverd.

• Verwijder het klepje van het batterijvak aan de

achterkant van de afstandsbediening door dit in de

richting van de pijl te schuiven.

• Plaats de batterijen op een zodanige wijze dat de

minpool van de batterijen tegen de veren rust.

• Schuif het klepje weer op het batterijvak.

De meegeleverde batterijen mogen niet worden

opgeladen, gedemonteerd, in het vuur gegooid

of kortgesloten.

Batterijen kunnen bij inslikken levensgevaarlijk

zijn. Bewaar batterijen en afstandsbediening

daarom buiten bereik van kleine kinderen. Als

een batterij is ingeslikt, moet direct medische

hulp worden ingeroepen.

De afstandsbediening gebruiken

• Wijs met de afstandsbediening in de richting van de

IR-sensor aan de voorkant van de DVD-speler.

• De ontvangsthoek van de IR-sensor bedraagt 30° in

alle richtingen vanaf de voorkant van het apparaat.

Het apparaat inschakelen

• Sluit de netstekker van de oplader aan op een goed

bereikbaar stopcontact 230 V ~ 50 Hz.

• Als u het apparaat in de auto gebruikt, schakelt u

de stroomtoevoer in door de contactsleutel van uw

voertuig in de stand ON te zetten.

• Druk op de toets POWER om het apparaat in te

schakelen.

Besturing via apparaat of

Toetsen aan

voorzijde van

apparaat

Met de toetsen aan de voorzijde van het apparaat

kunt u de belangrijkste functies van uw apparaat

bedienen. U kunt dus disks afspelen, onderbreken en

stoppen, en vooruit of achteruit "springen".

De afstandsbediening biedt behalve deze

basisfuncties nog tal van extra bedieningselementen

voor de volledige functionaliteit van uw apparaat.

Afspeelfuncties

Een CD/DVD afspelen

• Schakel het apparaat in, zoals in het voorgaande is

beschreven.

• Plaats een CD/DVD met de tekstzijde naar boven in

de disklade. De disk wordt nu ingelezen door de

DVD-speler, waarna automatisch het afspelen

wordt gestart.

•

In deze handleiding gaan we bij de

beschrijving van de toetsen uit van de

afstandsbediening, omdat de

afstandsbediening (behalve de aan/uit-knop)

alle functies van het apparaat bevat. Als de

toetsen van het apparaat worden bedoeld,

wordt dit uitdrukkelijk aangegeven.

Disk uitwerpen

Druk op de toets EJECT op de afstandsbediening of

aan de voorzijde van het apparaat om de disk weer

uit te werpen.

STOP - Afspelen stilzetten

• Druk op de toets STOP om het afspelen te stop-

pen. Met PLAY wordt het afspelen hervat op de

plek waar u eerder was gestopt.

• Druk tweemaal op de toets STOP om het afspelen

te beëindigen. Als u vervolgens op de toets PLAY

drukt, wordt het afspelen vanaf het begin hervat.

Zoekfuncties

SEARCH - Snel terug-/doorspoelen

• Druk tijdens het afspelen op de toets SEARCH

of om snel door- of terug te spoelen. Telkens

wanneer u de toets indrukt, wordt een hogere snel-

heid ingesteld. Op het beeldscherm wordt het sym-

bool voor snel door- of terugspoelen

weergegeven, plus de snelheid:

Druk tijdens het afspelen op de toets SKIP om

naar de volgende titel of het volgende hoofdstuk te

Bij sommige VCD's werkt de SKIP-functie niet!

SLOW - Vertraagd vooruit/achteruit afspelen

(alleen DVD)

Druk tijdens het afspelen op de toets SLOW of

SLOW .

Telkens wanneer u de toets indrukt wordt een

volgende snelheid voor vertraagd afspelen ingesteld.

DVD-functie:

• Druk tijdens het afspelen éénmaal op de toets

GOTO. Op het beeldscherm wordt het volgende

• Druk tijdens het afspelen éénmaal op de toets

GOTO. Op het beeldscherm wordt het volgende

• Voer met de cijfertoetsen in vanaf welk tijdstip op

de VCD/CD u het afspelen wilt starten.

• Bevestig uw invoer met ENTER. De VCD/CD

wordt nu afgespeeld vanaf het aangegeven tijdstip.

Herhalingsfuncties

REPEAT - Herhalen

DVD-functie:

Druk meerdere malen op de toets Repeat om de

volgende herhalingsfuncties te gebruiken:

CHAPTER REPEAT ON: Het huidige hoofdstuk wordt

herhaald.

TITLE REPEAT ON: De huidige titel wordt herhaald.

REPEAT OFF: Terug naar normaal afspelen.

A-B - Een bepaald fragment herhalen

Met de toets A-B kunt u een zelf gedefinieerd

fragment op een CD/DVD herhalen.

• Druk aan het begin van het te herhalen fragment

op de toets A-B. Op het beeldscherm wordt de vol-

gende aanduiding weergegeven: "AtoB SET A". Dit

betekent dat het beginpunt van het gewenste frag-

ment is ingesteld.

• Druk nogmaals op de toets A-B om het eindpunt

van het gewenste fragment in te stellen. Op het

beeldscherm wordt de volgende aanduiding

weergegeven: "AtoB SET B". Het geselecteerde frag-

ment wordt nu eindeloos herhaald.

• Als u een derde maal op de toets A-B drukt, gaat u

terug naar het normaal afspelen. Op het beeldsch-

erm wordt de aanduiding "AtoB CANCELLED"

weergegeven.

ZOOM - Beeldformaat vergroten

• Druk op de toets ZOOM. Op het beeldscherm

wordt de vergrotingsfactor weergegeven. De af-

beelding wordt vanuit het midden vergroot.

Eenmaal op ZOOM drukken: Vergrotingsfactor 1,5 x

Tweemaal op ZOOM drukken: Vergrotingsfactor 2,0 x

Driemaal op ZOOM drukken: Vergrotingsfactor 3,0 x

Gebruik de navigatietoetsen om het beeldfragment

naar boven, beneden, rechts of links te verplaatsen.

ANGLE - Camerapositie veranderen

Op enkele DVD's zijn de afzonderlijke scènes

opgenomen vanuit verschillende cameraposities.

• Druk op de toets ANGLE om deze functie te activ-

eren. Als de scène verschillende gezichtshoeken

heeft, worden het symbool en de huidige gezich-

tshoek/het totale aantal gezichtshoeken weerge-

geven.

• Druk nogmaals op ANGLE om naar de volgende

camerapositie te gaan. Na enkele seconden verand-

ert het beeld.

Geluidsfuncties

MUTE - Geluid in- of uitschakelen

Druk op de toets MUTE om het geluid uit te

schakelen. U kunt het geluid weer inschakelen door

nogmaals op de toets MUTE te drukken.

apparaat te herstellen. Deze functie moet in de

volgende situaties worden gebruikt:

- Eerste ingebruikneming of herinstallatie, als alle

kabelverbindingen tot stand worden gebracht.

- Toetsen geven geen functie aan.

- Foutsymbool op het display.

afstandsbediening of aan de voorzijde van het

apparaat. Telkens wanneer u op deze toets drukt,

verandert de audiotaal (als de DVD meerdere talen

bevat).

Aanwijzing:

- Het aantal audiotalen kan per DVD

verschillen.

- Sommige DVD's bevatten slechts één audiotaal.

Als geen andere audiotaal beschikbaar is op de

DVD, wordt het symbool weergegeven in de

linkerbovenhoek van het beeldscherm.

VCD/CD-functie:

Druk tijdens het afspelen op de toets AUDIO op de

afstandsbediening of aan de voorzijde van het

apparaat.

Op het beeldscherm wordt de huidige geselecteerde

instelling weergegeven. Druk herhaaldelijk op de

toets AUDIO om over te schakelen tussen de

volgende instellingen.

MONO L: Er wordt een monosignaal weergegeven

via het linkerkanaal.

MONO R: Er wordt een monosignaal weergegeven

via het rechterkanaal.

STEREO: Er wordt een stereosignaal weergegeven via

het linker- en rechterkanaal.

TITLE - Titelmenu weergeven

Als een DVD meerdere titels bevat, kunt u een

afzonderlijke titel rechtstreeks selecteren via het

titelmenu.

Druk tijdens het afspelen op de toets TITLE. Het

titelmenu wordt weergegeven.

Selecteer met de navigatietoetsen een titel en

bevestig uw keuze door op ENTER te drukken. De

gewenste titel wordt nu afgespeeld.

SUBTITLE - Taal van ondertiteling

selecteren

Druk tijdens het afspelen op de toets SUBTITLE.

Telkens wanneer u opnieuw op deze toets drukt,

wordt de volgende ondertitelingstaal weergegeven.

Aanwijzing:

- Het aantal ondertitelingstalen kan per

DVD verschillen.

- Sommige DVD's bevatten slechts één

ondertitelingstaal.

- Als geen andere ondertitelingstaal beschikbaar is

op de

DVD, wordt het symbool inweergegeven in de

linkerbovenhoek van het beeldscherm.

MP3-disks afspelen

De installatie is uitgerust met een ingebouwde MP3-

decoder. Hiermee kunt u MP3-CD's afspelen.

• Plaats een MP3-CD. Op het beeldscherm wordt een

menu weergegeven met de hoogste mappenstruc-

tuur op de CD. Tijdens het afspelen is navigeren

door de mappenstructuur niet mogelijk. Druk des-

gewenst op STOP.

Als de MP3-CD mappen bevat, worden deze aan de

linkerkant van het menu weergegeven:

• Overtuig u ervan dat het apparaat zich in de stop-

modus bevindt en selecteer een map met de navi-

gatietoetsen op de afstandsbediening (bijv. CD01,

CD02, enz.).

• Bevestig uw selectie met ENTER en selecteer met

de navigatietoetsen een titel uit de rechterkolom

van de nu geopende map.

Druk herhaaldelijk op de toets REPEAT om een van

de drie volgende herhalingsfuncties in te stellen:

REP-ONE: De huidige titel wordt herhaald.

FOLDER REP: De totale map wordt herhaald.

FOLDER: Alle titels in de huidige map worden

eenmaal afgespeeld.

Als u in het MP3-menu de optie PLAY MODE

selecteert, kunt u met de navigatietoetsen de

volgende weergavetypen instellen:

Gebruik de toetsen SKIP en SKIP om de

volgende/vorige titel in de lijst te selecteren. Met de

toetsen SEARCH en SEARCH zoekt u

vooruit resp. achteruit.

Aanwijzing:

Tijdens het afspelen kunt u geen mappen selecteren.

Zet daarom de DVD-speler met de toets STOP in de

stopmodus.

Controleer of het apparaat in de stopmodus staat

(door tweemaal op de toets STOP te drukken).

Druk nu op de toets SETUP. De bovenstaande

bevestig uw keuze door op te drukken.

NORMAL/PS: Selectie voor televisietoestellen met 4 :

16 : 9-formaat op volledige hoogte weergegeven.

Beeldfragmenten aan de zijkanten worden

afgesneden..

NORMAL/LB:Selectie voor televisietoestellen met 4 :

3-formaat. Met het Letterbox-formaat wordt het 16 :

9-filmformaat verkleind tot beeldschermbreedte.

WIDE (16:9):Selectie voor televisietoestellen met 16 :

9-formaat.

PIC MODE - Beeldkwaliteit instellen

AUTO: Selecteer deze instelling om de beeldkwaliteit

automatisch aan te passen, afhankelijk van de

geplaatste DVD.

HI-RES: Selecteer deze instelling om beelden weer te

geven in de hoogste beeldkwaliteit.

N-FLICKER: Selecteer deze instelling als beelden

storing of ruis te zien geven.

ANGLE MARK - Symbool voor camerapositie

in-/uitschakelen

Selecteer de optie ON om het symbool weer te

geven als tijdens het afspelen van een DVD met

Multi-Angle-functie op de toets ANGLE wordt

gedrukt.

Als u de vermelding OFF selecteert wordt geen

symbool voor de ANGLE-functie weergegeven.

OSD LANG - Menutaal selecteren

WählenSelecteer een menutaal met behulp van de

navigatietoetsen.

CAPTIONS - Ondertiteling vermelden

Selecteer de optie ON om tijdens het afspelen de op

de DVD beschikbare ondertiteling weer te geven.

Selecteer de optie OFF om de vermelding van de

ondertiteling uit te schakelen.

SCR SAVER - Schermbeveiliging in- of uitschakelen

Selecteer de optie ON om de schermbeveiliging te

activeren. De schermbeveiliging wordt nu

ingeschakeld als er gedurende ongeveer 1 minuut

geen invoer plaatsvindt.

Schakel de schermbeveiliging uit door de optie OFF

te selecteren.

Menu SPEAKER-Setup

DOWNMIX - Dolby Surround-uitvoer instellen

LT/RT: Er wordt een signaal weergegeven via het

linker- en rechterkanaal. Selecteer deze instelling

voor de audio-uitvoer in Dolby Surround-indeling.

STEREO: Er wordt een stereotoon weergegeven.

Selecteer deze instelling voor audio-uitvoer in

normale stereo-indeling.

Menu AUDIO-Setup

AUDIO OUT - Audio-uitvoer instellen

Selecteer de instelling ANALOG om de analoge

audio-uitvoer te activeren.

Voor digitale audio-uitvoer via de digitale audio-

uitgang (coaxuitgang) selecteert u de optie SPDIF/

RAW. Voor dit type uitvoer moet de DVD ook digitale

audio-indelingen ondersteunen.

Selecteer SPDIF/PCM als er een verbinding is met een

digitale versterker/ontvanger. Uw recorder verzendt

via het PCM-signaal dezelfde audio-indelingen als op

de disk staan. Bovendien wordt er een audiosignaal

doorgegeven via de L/R-uitgang.

OP MODE - Piekmodulatie

Selecteer de optie LINE OUT voor audio-uitvoer met

digitale normalisatie van dialogen.

Selecteer de optie RF REMOD voor audio-uitvoer met

sterke compressie en digitale normalisatie van

dialogen.

Geadviseerd wordt LINE OUT in te stellen.

DVD verschillen.

- Sommige DVD's bevatten slechts één

DISC MENU - Menutaal selecteren

Selecteer een menutaal met behulp van de

navigatietoetsen.

PARENTAL - Kinderslot

Hier stelt u de leeftijdsklasse voor DVD's in

(kinderslot).

Enkele DVD's en CD's zijn voorzien van

coderingssignalen voor de door de Motion Picture

Association gedefinieerde beoordelingen. De acht

beoordelingen zijn:

1 KID SAF:("Kid safe" - Kindveilig)- deze DVD's zijn ook voor kleine

kinderen geschikt.

2 G: ("General" - Algemeen) - voor alle leeftijden.

3 PG: ("Parental Guidance" - Onder ouderlijk toezicht) - toezicht door

de ouders wordt aanbevolen;

4 PG 13: Toezicht door de ouders dringend aanbevolen;

enkele scènes zijn niet geschikt voor jongeren onder de 13;

5 PGR: ("Parental Guidance Restriction" - Alleen onder ouderlijk

toezicht) - toezicht door de ouders wordt aanbevolen voor kinderen

onder de 17;

6 R:("Restriction" - Beperking) - voor jongeren onder de 17

wordt toezicht door de ouders dringend aanbevolen;

7 NC 17: niet voor jongeren onder de 17;

8 ADULT: alleen voor volwassenen.

UIT: Geen kinderbeveiliging ingesteld.

Als voor een DVD bijvoorbeeld de beoordeling 7 (NC

17) of 8 (ADULT) is ingesteld en u hebt het apparaat

ingesteld op één van de beoordelingen 1 t/m 6,

wordt een melding weergegeven (ACCESS DENIED)

en moet u het wachtwoord invoeren.

Het is ook mogelijk dat alleen delen van de DVD,

bepaalde filmscènes dus, van één of meer

beoordelingen zijn voorzien.

PASSWORD - Speler blokkeren

Hier kunt u een wachtwoord invoeren om de

toegang voor anderen in te stellen.

• Selecteer de optie CHANGE en bevestig met

ENTER.

• Voer nu met de cijfertoetsen het oude wachtwoord

in. Het in de fabriek ingestelde wachtwoord is

3308.

• Voer nu in het tweede veld een nieuw wachtwoord

van vier cijfers in en herhaal uw invoer in het vol-

gende veld ter bevestiging.

• Verlaat de wachtwoordinvoer met ENTER.

DEFAULTS - Fabrieksinstelling herstellen

Selecteer de optie RESET en bevestig uw selectie met

ENTER om de fabrieksinstelling voor de DVD-speler

te herstellen.

Gebruik deze functie in de volgende situaties:

- Eerste ingebruikneming of herinstallatie, als alle

kabelverbindingen zijn aangesloten.

- Toetsen geven geen functie aan.

- Foutsymbool op het display.

SMART NAV - Menuweergave voor MP3-disks

Selecteer de instelling WITH MENU om de

menustructuur voor de MP3-functies weer te geven

als een MP3-disk is geplaatst. U kunt dan via de

menustructuur mappen openen en de afspeellijst

bekijken.

Selecteer de instelling NO MENU om de weergave

van een MP3-disk onmiddellijk te start en geen

menustructuur weer te geven.
