premium active high-level speaker
inputs to line-level RCA outputs
processor with EBC remote control and
Smart Digital Bass Restauration.
The re-Q is designed to enhance your
integrated car factory head-unit and
transform it into a phenomenal high
fidelity device to get an ultimate
listening experience.
Congratulations for making a smart
choice and enjoy your music with MTX.
Power connectors
GND : to be connected to the car chassis
+12V : to be connected to the car 12V permanent
REM in : if the head unit is equipped with a
remote cable (Antenna), you can connect it here. It
is not mandatory as the re-Q provides a REM out.
REM out : Automatic turn on and turn off remote
output cable to be connected to amps, powered
enclosures and sound processors.
Remote Auto Turn ON jumper
Enable or disable the Automatic turn ON and turn
OFF Remote function. Put the strap in ON position
to get the automatic remote function.
EBC remote control port
Bass level remote control port to be connected to
the included EBC remote control case.
EBC remote control case
Turn the control clockwise to raise the subwoofer
output level of your re-Q.
Speaker Inputs
Four screws to be connected to the car factory
speaker cables. You can connect to the front or to
the rear speaker cables.
Respect the polarity to avoid sound quality losses.
The power input can go up to 4x110W RMS to
allow any factory head-unit to be connected, even
the ones with a separate power amp.
Initial settings : Turn the re-Q control (11) to minimum (counterclockwise). Put the Sub EQ control (12) in
the middle. You can feel a click.
On the factory head-unit, play a bass track where the factory bass drop is easy to identify. Set the volume
at the exact volume level the bass starts to drop.
Raise the re-Q control (11) until the Peak LED (13) starts to flash.
Play with the Sub EQ control (12) to adjust the bass level you like.
The bass drop of your factory head-unit is now more than conpensated. You can enjoy your fantastic new
sound system...

Subwoofer Output Level Control
Turn the control clockwise to raise the
subwoofer output level up to 10V RMS.
aFront Output Level Control
Turn the control clockwise to raise the front
full range output level up to 10V RMS.
Power ON LED
When the unit is turned ON, the LED is red.
When the unit is OFF, the LED is OFF.
Subwoofer RCA Outputs
Connect your subwoofer amp(s) or powered
enclosure(s) to these RCA connectors.
These subwoofer outputs use a 18dB/Oct
active x-over filter set to 120Hz.
Front RCA Outputs
Connect your wide range speaker amp(s) to
these RCA connectors.
