The PCSA-B768S/B384S ISDN unit is designed to be used

exclusively with the Sony PCS-xx series Video Communication

System. The PCSA-B768S/B384S allows you to connect the Video

Communication System to an ISDN line. Connection of up to six

ISDN lines via 12B channels is enabled by using the PCSA-B768S

and connection of up to three ISDN lines via 6B channels by using the

PCSA-B384S.

For connections and the instructions in conjunction with the Video

Communication System, refer to the Operating Instructions of the

Sony PCS-xx series Video Communication System.

WARNING

To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose the unit to

rain or moisture.

To avoid electrical shock, do not open the cabinet. Refer

servicing to qualified personnel only.

IMPORTANT

The nameplate is located on the bottom.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using your telephone equipment, basic safety precautions

should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock

1. Do not use this product near water, for example, near a bath tub,

wash bowl, kitchen sink or laundry tub, in a wet basement or near

3. Do not use the telephone to report a gas leak in the vicinity of the

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits

分解や改造をしない

火災や感電、けがの原因となることがあります。内部の点検や修理はお買い上

げ店またはソニーのサービス窓口にご依頼ください。

直射日光に当たる場所、熱器具の近くには置かない

変形したり、故障したりするだけでなく、レンズの特性により火災の原因とな

ります。特に窓際に置くときなどはご注意ください。

本機を初めてコミュニケーションターミナルに接続して使用するとき、コミュニケー

ションターミナルが自動的に本機のソフトウェアをバージョンアップすることがありま

す。画面にバージョンアップ中のメッセージが表示されている間は故障の原因とな

りますので、電源を切らないでください。

本機の仕様及び外観は、改良のため予告なく変更することがありますが、ご

了承ください。

この装置は、情報処理装置等電波障害自主規制協議会（VCCI）の基準

に基づくクラスA 情報技術装置です。この装置を家庭環境で使用すると

電波妨害を引き起こすことがあります。この場合には使用者が適切な対

2. If the terminal equipment causes harm to the telephone network, the

telephone company will notify you in advance that temporary

discontinuance of service may be required. But if advance notice is

not practical, the telephone company will notify the customer as

soon as possible. Also, you will be advised of your right to file a

complaint with the FCC if you believe it is necessary.

3. The telephone company may make changes in its facilities,

equipment, operations or procedures that could affect the operation

of the equipment. If this happens the telephone company will

provide advance notice in order for you to make necessary

1-800-686-7669. If the equipment is causing harm to the

telephone network, the telephone company may request that you

disconnect the equipment until the problem is resolved.

5. Connection to party line service is subject to state tariffs. Contact

the state public utility commission, public service commission or

corporation commission for information.

6. If your home has specially wired alarm equipment connected to the

telephone line, ensure the installation of this equipment does not

disable your alarm equipment. If you have questions about what

will disable alarm equipment, consult your telephone company or a

qualified installer.

7. Plugs and jacks used to connect this equipment to the premises

wiring and telephone network must comply with the applicable

FCC Part 68 rules and requirements adopted by the ACTA.

Compliant telephone cords and modular plugs are provided with

this product. They are designed to be connected to compatible

modular jacks that are also compliant.

8. The following information is required when the customer orders

service from the local telephone company.

Note

Used with the PCSA-B768S/B384S for the first time, the Communication

Terminal of the Video Communication System may automatically upgrade the

software of the PCSA-B768S/B384S. While the upgrading message is

displayed on the monitor screen, be sure not to turn off the Communication

Terminal. Doing so may cause malfunction of the system.
