INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
MOJI-XP LANTERN
Battery Life: Your battery life will vary depending on:
• Brand and freshness of batteries
• Length of time the lantern has been off
• Temperature
• Settings used
IMPORTANT: Follow all instructions carefully. Any modifi-
cations of this product will void the warranty. Misuse of the
lantern may cause the user harm.
BATTERIES
The Moji-XP requires three AA batteries. Alkaline, lithium or
rechargeable batteries can be used.
• Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types
• Dispose of used batteries properly
• Remove batteries during storage and transport

TROUBLESHOOTING
If the lantern does not work:
• Check that the batteries are oriented correctly and touching
the contacts
• Replace the batteries
• Check the contacts and connections for corrosion and
clean if necessary
• Work the switch several times

WARNINGS
• A responsible adult must supervise use by children under
the age of 12
• Inspect your lantern for proper operation prior to using and,
for critical situations, carry a second light and sufficient
spare batteries
LIMITED WARRANTY
We warrant for one year from purchase date and only to the
original retail buyer (Buyer) that our products (Products) are
free from defects in material and workmanship. For lanterns
our warranty is for three years. If Buyer discovers a covered
defect, Buyer should return the Product to the place of pur-
chase. In the event that this is not possible, return the Product
to us at the address provided. The Product will be repaired or
replaced at our discretion. That is the extent of our liability under
this Warranty and, upon expiration of the applicable warranty
period, all such liability shall terminate. We reserve the right to
require proof of purchase for all warranty claims.
Warranty Exclusions:
We do not warranty Products against normal wear and tear
(such as ski edge cuts and abrasions, outsole wear, etc.), unau-
thorized modifications or alterations, improper use, improper
maintenance, accident, misuse, negligence, damage, or if the
Product is used for a purpose for which it was not designed. This
Warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other
rights which vary from state to state. Except for expressly stated
in this Warranty, we shall not be liable for direct, indirect, inciden-
tal, or other types of damages arising out of, or resulting from the
use of Product. This Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties,
express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warran-
ties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose (some
states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages or allow limitations on the duration of an
implied warranty, so the above exclusions may not apply to you).
NOTE: This product has been tested and found to comply
with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part
15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against harmful interference in a res-
idential installation. This product generates, uses and can
radiate radio frequency energy and, if not used in accordance
with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to
radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular installation. If the
product does cause harmful interference to radio, television,
cell phone or avalanche beacon reception, which can be
determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is
encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more
of the following measures:
• Increase the separation between the product and receiver.
• Turn the product off or to a different setting.
This Black Diamond product meets the requirements of the
EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) Directive 2004/108/EC
and the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU. Industry Canada ICES-

Durée de vie : La durée de vie de vos piles varie en fonction
des facteurs suivants :
• La marque et l’état de fraîcheur des piles
• Le “temps de récupération”, c’est-à-dire le temps durant
lequel la lampe est restée éteinte
• La température
• Les réglages d’intensité utilisés
IMPORTANT : Suivez la notice attentivement et dans son
intégralité. Une quelconque modification du présent produit
entraîne l’annulation de la garantie. Un usage incorrect de la
lampe frontale peut s’avérer nocif pour l’utilisateur.
PILES
La lanterne Moji-XP fonctionne avec trois piles AA. Vous pou-
vez utiliser des piles alcalines, au lithium, ou rechargeables.
• Ne pas mélanger piles neuves et piles usagées ou différents
types de piles.
• Jeter les piles usagées dans un conteneur approprié.
• Ôter les piles pendant les périodes de stockage et de
transport.

EN CAS DE DYSFONCTIONNEMENT
Si la lanterne ne fonctionne pas :
• Vérifier si les piles sont correctement insérées et si elles
touchent les contacts.
• Remplacer les piles
• Repérer toute trace de corrosion sur les contacts et les con-
nexions et nettoyer si besoin.
• Tester l’interrupteur à plusieurs reprises.

AVERTISSEMENTS
• Toute utilisation du présent produit par des enfants de
moins de 12 ans doit s’effectuer sous la surveillance d’un
adulte responsable.
• Inspectez votre lanterne avant utilisation pour vérifier son
bon fonctionnement et pensez à transporter une seconde
lampe ainsi qu’un nombre suffisant de piles de rechange
afin de pouvoir faire face aux situations critiques.
LIMITES DE GARANTIE
Nous garantissons pour une durée de un an à partir de la date
d’achat et seulement à l’Acheteur d’origine (Acheteur) que nos
produits (Produits) sont exempts de défauts de matériau et de
fabrication. Pour les lanternes, notre garantie est de trois ans.
Dans le cas où l’Acheteur découvrirait un vice caché, l’Ache-
teur devra renvoyer le Produit à l’adresse d’achat. Si cela n’est
pas possible, renvoyez-nous le Produit à l’adresse indiquée.
Ce Produit sera réparé ou échangé gratuitement. L’étendue de
notre responsabilité se limite à la présente Garantie et prend
fin au terme de la période de garantie applicable. Nous nous
réservons le droit d’exiger une preuve d’achat pour toutes les
demandes d’application de la Garantie.
Exclusions de garantie :
Sont exclus de cette Garantie l’usure normale du Produit
(rayure et abrasion des carres, usure des semelles, etc.),
les modifications ou les transformations non autorisées,
l’utilisation incorrecte, l’entretien inadéquat, les accidents,
l’emploi abusif, la négligence, les dommages, ou l’utilisation
du Produit à des fins pour lesquelles il n’a pas été conçu. La
présente Garantie vous confère des droits spécifiques et ne
fait pas obstacle à l’application de la garantie légale prévue
par le Code Civil. À l’exception des clauses expressément
décrites dans la présente Garantie, nous déclinons toute
responsabilité en cas de dommages directs, indirects, acces-
soires, ou autres types de dommages découlant ou résultant
de l’utilisation du Produit. La présente Garantie exclut toute
autre garantie, explicite ou implicite, notamment, mais non
limitativement, toute garantie de qualité marchande ou d’ad-
aptation à un usage particulier (certains États/juridictions
n’autorisent pas l’exclusion ou la limitation de dommages
accessoires ou consécutifs ni la restriction de garantie implic-

Batterielebensdauer: Die Batterielebensdauer hängt von den

BATTERIEN
Die Moji-XP benötigt drei AA-Batterien. Es können Alkali-,
Lithium- oder wiederaufladbare Batterien verwendet werden.
• Mischen Sie nicht alte und neue Batterien oder unter-
schiedliche Batterietypen.
• Entsorgen Sie die verbrauchten Batterien nicht mit dem
Restmüll.
• Entfernen Sie die Batterien während der Lagerung und des
Transports.

FEHLERBEHEBUNG
Wenn die Laterne nicht funktioniert:
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Batterien richtig eingelegt sind
und die Kontakte berühren.
• Tauschen Sie die Batterien aus.
• Überprüfen Sie die Kontakte auf Korrosion und säubern Sie
sie gegebenenfalls.
• Betätigen Sie mehrmals den Schalter.

WARNHINWEISE
• Eine berechtigte volljährige Person muss die Verwendung
des Produkts durch Kinder unter 12 Jahren beaufsichtigen.

funktioniert, und tragen Sie für Notfälle immer eine
Ersatzlampe und ausreichend Ersatzbatterien mit sich.
BEGRENZTE GEWÄHRLEISTUNG
Wir gewährleisten dem ursprünglichen Käufer, der das
Produkt aus dem Einzelhandel erworben hat (Käufer) für
ein Jahr ab Kaufdatum, dass unsere Produkte (Produkte)
frei von Defekten an Material und Ausführungsqualität sind.
Die Garantie für unsere Laternen beträg t drei Jahre ab
Kaufdatum. Entdeckt der Käufer einen Defekt, sollte der
Käufer das Produkt unverzüglich an das Geschäft, in dem
es erworben wurde, zurückgeben und keinesfalls weiterver-
wenden. Sollte dies nicht möglich sein, sollte der Käufer das
Produkt unverzüglich an unsere Retourenabteilung schicken.
