·The burner is still very hot after switching off the flame. Avoid touching
the burner.

away from children. Do not put the ignited burner down (risk of
fire). Do not leave the device unattended if it is on. Also Caution!
after use do not place the hot burner on inflammable materials (risk
of fire).
·During breaks and at the end of each usage switch off the flame
immediately (risk of burns).
·Keep the nozzle protected from dust and do not let the device fall
down. These are the most common causes of defects.
·Use the device only in properly ventilated places and in sufficient

·The device does not have electrical insulation. Work only on devices
or on parts of devices which are completely without electrical power.
·Do not shake the device before and during operation. Otherwise there
is a danger that the liquid gas can get into the burner and a reddish

device is then disturbed! In such a case immediately slide the
continuous flame lever (No. ) into position OFF. The gas supply
stops and no further gas can escape uncontrolled.
·IMPORTANT: After igniting the burner in a proper way, let it preheat
for a short time (appx. 30 seconds) until the burner head has reached
the optimal operation temperature.
Test for Leaks
Be very careful to test leak tightness of your device only outside. Never
seek leaking connections using a flame. Always spread soapsuds over
the connections (e.g. a half a glass of water + 10 drops of washing-up
liquid) or use a leak-seeking-spray!
If gas leaks out of your device (you can smell gas), take it immediately
outside to a place with a good air circulation and no inflammable sources,
where you can look for the leak and fix it.
Intended use
This handy gas burner is an ideal helper in your kitchen. It is ideal for
caramelizing sweets, e.g. crème brûlée. The culinary torch is also
suitable for the production of a crisp crust on roast and poultry. It is
Ideal for flambéing, for peeling off peppers and tomatoes, as well as
gratinating of cheese (onion soup, etc.).
This device is only intended for use in private households. Never use
the device for commercial purposes.
Filling the device with gas
This burner is for dispatch and safety reasons delivered without
a gas filling. Before putting into operation please fill the device at the
bottom side through the gas filling valve (No. ) with provided refill gas
(also see picture A). Afterwards make sure that the gas filling valve
(No. ) is tightly closed. Take a half glass of water with 10 drops of
washing-up liquid and brush the gas filling valve with it (No. ). If there
is a leak you will see little bubbles forming.
Use only supplied propane/butane gas mixture (e.g. the supplied
cylinder No. 70891 or refill cylinders No. 48899, No. 52103). Alternatively
you can also use refilling gas for lighters which contains only butane.
The refilling gas must by no means contain a higher propane amount
than the supplied refilling gas (see inscription on cylinder of the
provided refill gas).
To fill the gas it is important to close first the flame adjustment lever
at the burner (No. ). In this case slide the flame adjustment lever
to position .È
Insert the cylinder filling nozzle of the refill gas pointing(see picture A)
down vertically onto the gas filling valve (No. ). For best results use
pumping actions. After filling/refilling wait a few minutes so that the
gas becomes stabilized. Ignite only after this procedure.
Filling must be carried out outside and in a distance from all possible
igniting sources, such as open flames, pilot lights, electrical cooking
appliances and away from other persons. Do not smoke when filling
the device .(Risk of explosion in case of non-observance)
Use the device only in well ventilated rooms.
