IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they are closely supervised
and instructed concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for

3. This appliance shall not be used by
children. Keep the appliance and its
cord out of reach of children.
4. Close supervision is necessary when
any appliance is used near children.
Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
5. To protect against risk of electrical
shock, do not put cord, plug, base, or
motor in water or other liquid.
6. Turn the appliance OFF ( ) when not
in use, before putting on or taking off
parts, and before cleaning.
7. Avoid contact with moving parts.
Do not attempt to defeat any safety
interlock mechanisms.
8. Keep hands and utensils away from
the cutting blades while chopping
food to reduce the risk of severe injury
to persons or damage to the food
chopper. A scraper may be used but
must be used only when the food
chopper is not running.
9. Blades are sharp. Handle cutting
blades carefully when inserting or
removing, emptying the bowl, and
during cleaning.
10. Do not operate any appliance with
a damaged supply cord or plug, or
after the appliance malfunctions or
has been dropped or damaged in any
manner. Supply cord replacement
and repairs must be conducted by
the manufacturer, its service agent,
or similarly qualified persons in
order to avoid a hazard. Contact
Customer Service for information on
examination, repair, or adjustment as
set forth in the Limited Warranty.
11. The use of attachments not
recommended or sold by the
appliance manufacturer may cause
fire, electric shock, or personal injury.
12. Do not use outdoors.
13. Do not let cord hang over edge of
table or counter or touch hot surfaces,
including stove.
14. Do not place on or near a hot gas or
electric burner, or in a heated oven.
15. Check that the appliance is OFF ( )
before plugging cord assembly into
charging port and wall outlet. To
disconnect, turn the control to OFF
( ); then remove cord assembly
from charging port and wall outlet. To
unplug, grasp the plug and pull. Never
pull from the power cord.
16. Be certain lid is securely locked in
place before operating appliance.
17. Do not attempt to defeat any interlock
mechanism.
18. To reduce the risk of injury, never
place cutting blade on base without
first putting bowl properly in place.
19. Do not remove lid until blade has
completely stopped rotating.
20. Do not use appliance for other than
intended purpose.
21. This appliance is intended for
processing small quantities of food
for immediate consumption. This
appliance is not intended to prepare
large quantities of food at one time.
22. Be careful if hot liquid is poured into
the food chopper bowl as it can be
ejected out of the appliance due to a
sudden steaming.
23. CAUTION! In order to avoid a hazard
due to inadvertent resetting of the
thermal cut-out, this appliance must
not be supplied through an external
switching device, such as a timer, or
connected to a circuit that is regularly
switched on and off by the utility.
24. The appliance contains batteries that
are non-replaceable.
25. For the purpose of recharging the
battery, only use the power adapter
provided with this appliance. Do not
attempt to use this power adapter with
any other product. Likewise, do not
attempt to charge this appliance with
any other charger.
26. Do not use an extension cord. Plug
charger directly into an electric outlet.
27. Do not incinerate this appliance even
if it is severely damaged. The batteries
can explode in a fire.

Before first use: Wash Lid, Bowl, and Chopping Blade in hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
Charge the Battery until the Battery Indicator Light turns solid blue.
How to Charge
1. Slide Charging Plug into Charging Port,
then plug Power Adapter into an outlet. Full
charge may take up to 2 hours.
2. Battery Indicator Light will flash when
charging and turn solid blue when fully
charged.
NOTE: The Food Chopper will not operate while plugged in.

NOTE: With a 5 minute quick charge, Chopper can process 12 medium onions (about 6 oz [170 g]

How to Use
1. Place Bowl onto Base. Holding Base, grasp
Handle and turn Bowl clockwise until it clicks
to lock ( ) onto Base.
2. Carefully place Chopping Blade in Bowl over
Motor Shaft. Turn until Blade slips down to
bottom of Bowl.
3. NOTE: Place food in Bowl. For liquid
ingredients, do not exceed 2 cups
(473 mL).
4. Place Lid on Bowl. Slide ON/OFF Switch to
ON.
5. Press Lid to chop/puree. To stop, release Lid.
Do not remove Lid until Blade has stopped
turning.
6. Slide ON/OFF Switch to OFF. To remove Bowl,
hold Base, grasp Handle, and turn Bowl
counterclockwise to unlock ( ). Lift Bowl from
Base.
7. Remove Lid. Carefully remove Blade before
removing contents.
Tips
• Bowl has a capacity of 4 cups (946 mL). Liquid maximum is 2 cups (473 mL).
• Use Oil Dispenser in Lid to slowly add liquids when mixing dressings, mayonnaise, or other
emulsifications.
NOTE: Do not process coffee beans or whole, hard spices in Food Chopper. This could damage the
Chopper.

Care and Cleaning
w WARNING Electrical Shock Hazard. Do not immerse base, cord, or plug in water or any
other liquid.
1. Wash Lid, Bowl, and Chopping Blade in hot,
soapy water or in top rack of dishwasher.
Chopping Blade is sharp; handle carefully.
2. Reassemble for safe storage.
3. To clean Base, wipe with a soft, damp cloth or
sponge, and dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
4. Do not store Power Adapter inside Bowl with
Chopping Blade. Power Adapter should be
stored separately.
Troubleshooting
Food Chopper is not charging:
• Check to see if Power Adapter is securely
plugged into an electrical outlet of proper
voltage and frequency. Next, ensure Charging
Plug is inserted into Charging Port on Food
Chopper.
• Power Adapter is not plugged into wall outlet,
or circuit breaker is tripped. Plug into outlet
and check function of outlet.
• If Battery Indicator Light flashes yellow 5 times
while charging, the battery temperature is too
high and the battery will not be charged. Wait
for the battery temperature to drop before
charging it.
Food Chopper is not working:
• If Battery Indicator Light flashes yellow 3 times
while in use and the blade stops rotating,
too many ingredients in Bowl. Remove some
ingredients and restart.
• If Battery Indicator Light flashes yellow 5 times
while in use and Blade stops rotating, battery
temperature is too high. Wait for the battery
temperature to drop before restarting it.
• If Battery Indicator Light flashes red 3 times,
the battery is low and needs to be charged.
• Food Chopper is charging or plugged in.
When charging or plugged in, the Chopper
cannot be used.
Battery Recycling
Disposal: Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc. is concerned about protecting the environment and,
therefore, has chosen to participate in the RBRC® (Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation)
recycling program. The RBRC® is a nonprofit organization whose recycling programs adhere to all
federal, state and provincial mandates concerning the proper collection, storage, and transportation
of lithium-ion batteries. The RBRC® Seal on the lithium-ion battery indicates that the cost to recycle
the battery pack has already been paid. Call 1-800-8-BATTERY to find the nearest retail collection
site. You may also contact your local recycling center for information on where to drop off the used
battery pack. For more information on RBRC®, check out their website at call2recyle.org.
Limited Warranty
This warranty applies to products purchased and used in the U.S. and Canada. This is the only express
warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other warranty or condition.
This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of five (5) years
from the date of original purchase in Canada and one (1) year from the date of original purchase in the U.S.
During this period, your exclusive remedy is replacement of this product or any component found to be
defective, at our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with our returning a product
or component under this warranty to you. If the product or component is unavailable, we will replace with a
similar one of equal or greater value.
This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in conformity with the printed
directions, or damage to the product resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse. This warranty
extends only to the original consumer purchaser or gift recipient. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof
of purchase is required to make a warranty claim. This warranty is void if the product is used for other than
single-family household use or subjected to any voltage and waveform other than as specified on the rating
label (e.g., 120 V ~ 60 Hz).
We exclude all claims for special, incidental, and consequential damages caused by breach of express or
implied warranty. All liability is limited to the amount of the purchase price. Every implied warranty,
including any statutory warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular

condition is limited to the duration of this written warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal

chaude savonneuse. Rincer et sécher. Charger la batterie jusqu’à ce que le voyant de la
batterie devienne bleu uni.
Recharge
1. Insérer la prise de charge dans la borne
de recharge, puis brancher l’adaptateur
de courant dans une prise électrique. Une
charge complète peut prendre jusqu’à deux
heures.
2. Le voyant de la batterie clignotera durant
la charge et deviendra bleu uni une fois la
batterie complètement chargée.
REMARQUE : Le hachoir ne fonctionne pas lorsqu’il est branché.

Utilisation

2. Placer avec précaution la lame à hacher dans
le bol sur l’arbre du moteur. Tourner jusqu’à
ce que la lame glisse vers le fond du bol.
3. REMARQUE Mettre les aliments dans le bol.
: Pour les ingrédients liquides, ne pas
dépasser
473 mL (2 tasses).
4. Fixer le couvercle sur le bol. Glisser le
commutateur ON/OFF (marche/arrêt) en
position ON (marche).
5. Appuyer sur le couvercle pour couper les
aliments ou les réduire en purée. Pour
arrêter, relâcher le couvercle. Ne pas retirer le
couvercle jusqu’à ce que la lame ait arrêté de
tourner.
6. Glisser le commutateur ON/OFF (marche/
arrêt) en position OFF (arrêt). Pour retirer
le bol, tenir la base, prendre la poignée et
tourner le bol en sens antihoraire pour le
déverrouiller ( ). Soulever le bol de la base.
7. Retirer le couvercle. Enlever la lame
prudemment avant d’enlever le contenu.
Conseils
• Le bol a une capacité de 946 mL (4 tasses). La quantité maximale de liquide est de
473 mL (2 tasses).
• Utiliser le distributeur d’huile du couvercle pour ajouter les liquides lentement lors de la
préparation de sauces à salade, mayonnaises ou autres préparations émulsifiées.
REMARQUE : Ne pas hacher des grains de café ou des épices dures entières avec le hachoir. Ceci
peut endommager le hachoir.
