install
the
dongle/RF receiver
in
enclosed metal
parts,
as
this
may
in
terfe
re
with
connectivity between
it
and
the
remote.
Remote
Battery:

(use
only
the
approved
battery)
Connect
the
KMLC
LE
D pig-tail
(lett)
to
the
KMLC
L
ED
dong:e
(right).
The
dongle
is
keyed
and
will
only
fit
when
or
i
en
t
ed
properly
.
To
prevent
battery discharge,
install
a
sw
itch
on
the
RED
KMLC
power
wire
so
you
can
tu
rn
off
the
KMLC's
remote
rece
i
ver
wh
en
the
boat
is
st
ored.
+12V Source
You
can
use
the
remote
turn
-
on
lead
from
the
head
u
nit
to
trigger
a
relay.
H
owever,
do not connect t
he
KMLC power
wire
directly to
the
head
unit
power
wire;
it
pul
ls
more
current
than
a
ty
pic
al
turn-on
ci
rcuit
provides.
You
can
also
use
the le stereo's rocker-sty power switch
on
the
das
h,
if
equipped,
to
turn
the
KMLC
controller
on
and
off.
You
can
also
simply
install
a t le ogg
or
rocker-switch
in
a
convenien
t
loc
ation.
Do
not
wire
your
KMLC's
power
wire
into
your
navigational
l
ighting
cir
c
uit.
Depending on
USCG
or
local
laws,
it
may
be
inappropriate or
illegal
to
be
showing
navigation
l
ights
and accent
ligh
tin
g.
Connect
all
KM
and
KM
LC L
ED
pig-tail
wires together according
to
co
lo
r. E
ach
L
ED

and
Black
wires.
Splice
every
green
wi
re
together,
every

ed
wire
together

al.
Test
for
functionali
ty

th
the
remote.
Troubleshoot
beginning

If problems
persist,
test
with
crre
speaker to
ensure
the
KM
LC
is
f
un
ctioning pr
operly.
