1 Introduction

Congratulations with your purchase of the Topcom . This fully automatic, wrist mounted

blood pressure monitor is both easy to use and ideally suited for daily measurements.

The large display includes systolic, diastolic and pulse, all clearly shown at the

completion of each reading.

In addition, you can store up to 60 measurements per Memory Zone, ideal for users who

want to monitor and track their blood pressure on a regular basis. The is compact and

portable, making it ideal for home use and travel.

This device uses the oscillometric method to automatically measure systolic and diastolic

blood pressure as well as heart rate.

3 Safety instructions

1. This product is for household use only. It is not intended as a substitute for

consultation with your doctor.

2. For users diagnosed with common arrhythmia (atrial or ventricular premature

beats or atrial fibrillation), diabetes, poor circulation of blood, kidney problems,

or for users suffered from stroke, or for unconscious users, the device might not

be suitable for use. Consult your doctor in case of any doubt.

3. The unit should not be operated by children so to avoid hazardous situations.

4. The unit contains high-precision assemblies. Therefore, avoid extreme

temperatures, humidity, and direct sunlight. Avoid dropping or strongly shocking

the main unit, and protect it from dust.Leaky batteries can damage the unit.

Remove the batteries when the unit is not used for a long time.

5. Do not press the start key when the cuff is not placed around the wrist.

6. Do not disassemble the main unit or cuff.

7. Do not store the device in extremely low (less than –13 °F/–25 °C) and high

(more than 158 °F/70°C) temperature, nor in a place its humidity exceeds 93%

R.H..

8. Clean the blood pressure monitor body and the cuff carefully with a slightly

damp, soft cloth. Do not press. Do not bend the pre-formed cuff inside out. Do

not wash the cuff or use chemical cleaner on it. Never use thinner, alcohol or

petrol (gasoline) as cleaner.

9. If you have one of the circulatory problems as arteriosclerosis, diabetes, liver

disease, kidney disease, severe hypertension, peripheral circulation…, please

consult your healthcare professional before using the device.

10. This product is not suitable for people with arrhythmias and pregnant women.

4Tips

Here are a few helpful tips to help you obtain more accurate readings:

• Do not measure your blood pressure immediately after consuming a large meal. To

obtain more accurate readings, please wait one hour before measuring.

• Do not smoke or drink alcohol before measuring your blood pressure.

• You should not be physically tired or exhausted while taking a measurement.

• Rest at least 5~10 minutes before taking a measurement.

• Do not take measurements if you are under stress or under tension.

• Take your blood pressure at normal body temperature. If you are feeling cold or

hot, wait a while before taking a measurement.

• If the monitor is stored at very low temperature (near freezing), have it placed at a

warm location for at least one hour before using it.

• Relax at least 3~5 minutes in between measurements.

• Wait 30 ~ 45 minutes before measurement if you’ve just consumed beverages

containing caffeine or smoked cigarettes.

5 Disposal of the device

At the end of the product lifecycle, you should not throw this product into the

normal household garbage but bring the product to a collection point for the

recycling of electrical and electronic equipments. The symbol on the product,

user guide and/or box indicate this.

Some of the product materials can be re-used if you bring them to a recycling

point. By re-using some parts or raw materials from used products you make an

6 Blood pressure

6.1 What is blood pressure?

Blood pressure is the pressure exerted on the artery tube while blood flows through the

arteries. The pressure measured when the heart contracts and sends blood out of the

heart is systolic (highest). The pressure measured when

the heart dilates with blood flowing back into the heart is called diastolic (lowest) blood

pressure.

6.2 Why measure your blood pressure?

Among the various health problems afflicting modern people, problems associated with

high blood pressure are by far the most common. High blood pressure's dangerously

strong correlation with cardiovascular diseases

and high morbidity has made measuring blood pressures a necessity of identifying those

at risk.

6.3 Blood pressure standard

The World Health Organization (WHO) has developed a Blood pressure standard,

according to which areas of low and high-risk blood pressure are identified. This

standard however, is a general guideline as individual's blood pressure varies among

different people and different groups...etc.

It is important that you consult with your physician regularly. Your physician will tell you

your normal blood pressure range as well as the point at which you will be considered at

risk.

6.4 Blood pressure fluctuation

Blood pressure fluctuates all the time!

You should not be worried if you encountered two or three measurements at high levels.

Blood pressure changes over the month and even throughout the day depending on

circumstances (state of mind, temperature, ...)

7 Battery installation

• Open the battery compartiment by pulling the cover away

• Insert 2 AAA Alkaline batteries. Follow the polarity as illustrated.

• Re-install the battery cover.

Do not shortcircuit & dispose of in fire. Remove the

battery if this device is not going to be used for a long

period.

The batteries must be replaced when the battery low icon

is displayed.All batteries used must be the same

type. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or

rechargeable (cadmium) batteries. Do not mix old and

new batteries.

10 Settings

10.1 Time, date and measuring unit adjustment

• When the batteries are installed for the first time, the year will flashes on the

display automatically. When you already used the monitor before you have to press

for 3-4 seconds the “SET” button in the off position, the year will flashes on the

display.

• Press the “MEM” button for increasing the year, use the “SET” button to confirm the

desired year.

• Change the months, days, hours and minutes as described above, using the

“MEM” button to increase and use the “SET” button to confirm every setting.

• After setting the minutes press “SET” and the current unit will appear. Use the Set

button to choose between kPa or mmHg.

• Press the “start/stop” button to save the current settings and turn off.

10.2 Applying the cuff

1. Remove all watches, jewelry, etc. prior to attaching the wrist

monitor. Clothing sleeves should be rolled up and the cuff

should be wrapped on bare skin for correct measurements.

Apply cuff to left wrist with palm facing up.

2. Make sure the edge of the cuff is about 1 cm from the palm. In

order to insure accurate-measurements.

3. Fasten the velcro strap securely around your wrist so there is

no extra space between the cuff and the wrist. If the cuff is not

wrapped tight enough ,the measurement values will be false.

4. If your physician has diagnosed you with poor circulation on

your left arm, place the cuff around your right wrist.

11 Measuring posture

1. Relax your entire body, especially the area between

your elbow and fingers. Place your elbow on a table so

that the cuff is at the same level as your heart.

2. If the cuff is not at the same level as your heart or if you

can not keep your arm completely still throughout the

reading, use a soft object such as folded towel to

support your arm.

3. Turn your palm upwards. Sit upright in a chair, and take

5-6 deep breaths. Avoid leaning back while the

measurement is being taken.

12 Measurement

12.1 Important

1. This monitor automatically switches off 2 minute after

the last key operation.

2. To interrupt the measurement, simply press any key. The cuff will deflate

immediately after a key is pressed.

3. During the measurement, do not talk or move your arm or hand muscles.

4. The result will be stored automatically in the selected Memory Zone. Select the

desires Memory Zone before measurement (see chapter §14)

13 Procedure

• Press the START/STOP button to activate the monitor, first all symbols will appear

and then the cuff will automatically inflate to the level that is right for you.

• Measurement starts while inflating. The heartbeat symbol flashes once a pulse is

detected.

• When the right level is reached, the cuff will deflate.

• When the measurement is completed, systolic, diastolic and pulse will be shown

simultaneously on the LCD screen.

• The measurement results will be stored automatically in the memory.

• Press the “start/stop” button to turn off the unit, after 2 minutes the unit will turn of

automatically.

• To stop the inflation or measurement, press the “start/stop” button in anytime. the

unit will stop inflating and then release and turn off.

13.1 Irregular heartbeat (IHB)

The appearance of this symbol “IHB” signifies that a certain pulse irregularity was

detected during measurement.

Talking, moving, shaking or an irregular pulse during the measurement can result in the

appearance of this icon.

Usually this is not a cause for concern, however if the symbol appears often, we

recommend you seek medical advice.

And please note that the device does not replace a cardiac examination, but serves to

detect pulse irregularities at an early stage.

14 Memory

The unit stores the blood pressure and pulse rate in the memory after completing a

measurement every time. It can automaticallystore 60 sets measurement values .The

earliest record is deleted to save the latest measurement value when more than 60

sets.The unit also calculates an average reading based on the values of the latest 3

times measurement taken.

• Press the “ MEM ” button, the average value of the latest 3 times measurement

values of the current user will display.

• Press the “ MEM ” button to display the set of measurement values with the

measuring date and time from the oldest to the most recent.

The irregular heart beat detected record wont be stored in memory.

The pulse display is not suitable for checking the frequency of heart

pacemarkes. If a certain pulse irregularity is detected during

measurement often, we recommend you seek medical advice.

However, as a safeguard, we recommend that if you have arrhythmias

such as atrial or ventricular premature beats and atrial fibrillation or

any other special conditions you should check with your physician

before using your device.

The IHB function is not designed for use by people with arrhythmias

nor for diagnosing or treating an arrhythmic problem. In order to filter

the unstable status of user and avoid affecting the detection of heart

rate from any movement, shaking or talking in the beginning of

measurement, the method of averaging heart beat intervals for subject

device is calculated with the three proper heart beat pulses detected in

the beginning of measurement and that is different from a strict

mathematical averaging of all recorded intervals.

At least 3 beats with at least 25% difference from the average heart beat

interval will generate the IHB icon on the screen.

• Long press the button and the value quickly changes.

• In the memory reading mode, press the “ MEM ” button for 4-6 seconds, the unit

will

• If you are sure all the data of corresponding user can be deleted, press the“Start/

stop” button, all the corresponding user’s data will be deleted and the unit will turn

off.

• if you do not press a button for 2 minutes, the unit will turn off automatically, but the

corresponding user’s blood pressure data will not be deleted. The delete operation

must be confirmed by the user.

16 Care and maintenance

• Keep the Unit in the storage case when not in use.

• Clean the unit with a soft dry cloth. do not use any abrasive or volatile cleaner.Do

not clean the body and cuff with naphtha, thinner or gasoline etc.

• Do not wet the cuff or attempt to clean the cuff with water. Never immerse the unit

or any components in water.

• Store the unit in a clean and dry location. Do not subject the unit to extreme hot or

cold temperature, humidity and direct sunlight.

• Remove the batteries if the unit will not be used for 3 monthes or longer. Always

replace both of the batteries with new ones at the same time.

Avoid subjecting the monitor to strong shocks or vibrations, such as dropping

the unit on the floor.

18 Warranty

18.1 Warranty period

The Topcom units have a 24-month warranty period. The warranty period starts on the

day the new unit is purchased. There is no warranty on Alkaline batteries (AA/AAA type).

Consumables or defects causing a negligible effect on operation or value of the

equipment are not covered.

The warranty has to be proven by presentation of the original or copy of the purchase

receipt, on which the date of purchase and the unit-model are indicated.

18.2 Warranty exclusions

Damage or defects caused by incorrect treatment or operation and damage resulting

from use of non-original parts or accessories are not covered by the warranty.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by outside factors, such as lightning, water

and fire, nor any damage caused during transportation.

No warranty can be claimed if the serial number on the units has been changed, removed

or rendered illegible.

Any warranty claims will be invalid if the unit has been repaired, altered or modified by

the buyer.

To ensure precise measurement reading, re-calibration of the device is recommended

after 2 years from the date of purchase. Shipping plus handling cost and recalibration

Bovendien kunt u tot 60 metingen per geheugenzone opslaan, ideaal voor gebruikers die

hun bloeddruk regelmatig willen controleren en bijhouden. De is compact en draagbaar,

3 Veiligheidsinstructies

1. Dit product is enkel geschikt voor huishoudelijk gebruik. Dit toestel is niet

bedoeld om raadpleging bij uw arts te vervangen.

2. Voor gebruikers die lijden aan aritmie (atriale of ventriculaire premature hartslag

of atriaal fibrilleren), suikerziekte, slechte bloedsomloop, nieraandoeningen, of

voor gebruikers die een beroerte hebben gehad of gebruikers die bewusteloos

zijn, is het toestel niet geschikt. In geval van twijfel dient u uw arts te raadplegen.

3. Dit toestel mag niet worden gebruikt door kinderen, anders kunnen er

gevaarlijke situaties ontstaan.

4. Het toestel omvat precisiecomponenten. Daarom moet het worden beschermd

tegen extreme temperaturen, vochtigheid en direct zonlicht. Laat het toestel niet

vallen en vermijd hevige schokken. Bescherm het tegen stof.

5. Lekkende batterijen kunnen schade aan het toestel veroorzaken. Verwijder de

batterijen wanneer u het toestel langere tijd niet gebruikt.

6. Druk niet op de startknop zolang de manchet niet rond de pols is bevestigd.

7. Demonteer het toestel of de manchet niet.

8. Bewaar het apparaat niet bij extreem lage (minder dan –13 ǫ/–25 ǫ) of hoge

(meer dan 158 ǫ/70ǫ) temperaturen, en niet op plaatsen met een

vochtigheidsgraad van meer dan 93% relatieve vochtigheid.

9. Reinig de bloeddrukmeter en de manchet voorzichtig met een zachte, licht

vochtige doek. Oefen geen druk uit. Draai de voorgevormde manchet niet

binnenstebuiten. Was de manchet niet en gebruik ook geen chemisch

reinigingsmiddel om hem te reinigen. Gebruik nooit verdunner, alcohol of

benzine als reinigingsmiddel.

10. Als u problemen hebt met de bloedsomloop zoals aderverkalking, diabetes,

leverziekte, nierziekte, ernstige hypertensie, perifere circulatie, e.d., neem dan

contact op met uw arts voordat u het apparaat gebruikt.

11. Dit product is niet geschikt voor mensen met hartritmestoornissen en zwangere

vrouwen.

4 Handige tips

Hieronder vindt u enkele handige tips die u helpen meer nauwkeurige resultaten te

verkrijgen:

• Meet uw bloeddruk niet onmiddellijk nadat u uitgebreid hebt gegeten. Om

nauwkeurige resultaten te verkrijgen, wacht u het best één uur alvorens te meten.

• Rook niet en drink geen alcohol voordat u uw bloeddruk meet.

• Tijdens een meting mag u niet lichamelijk moe of uitgeput zijn.

• Rust ten minste 5~10 minuten voordat u een meting doet.

• Meet uw bloeddruk niet als u gestrest of gespannen bent.

• Meet uw bloeddruk bij een normale lichaamstemperatuur. Als u het koud of warm

hebt, kunt u beter even wachten alvorens uw bloeddruk te meten.

• Als de meter op een erg koude plaats wordt bewaard (nabij het vriespunt), leg hem

dan gedurende minstens één uur in een warme ruimte vooraleer hem te gebruiken.

• Ontspan ten minste 3~5 minuten tussen de metingen.

• Wacht 30 ~ 45 minuten met de meting nadat u iets gedronken hebt met cafeïne of

nadat u sigaretten hebt gerookt.

Gebruik het toestel niet in de buurt van een mobiele telefoon

of magnetron, om onnauwkeurige resultaten door

elektromagnetische interferentie tussen elektrische en

elektronische apparaten te voorkomen.

Apparaten met een hoger uitgangsvermogen dan 2 W op

minimaal 3.3 meter houden.

5 Het toestel afvoeren

Na afloop van de levenscyclus van het product mag u het niet met het normale

huishoudelijke afval weggooien, maar moet u het naar een inzamelpunt

brengen voor recycling van elektrische en elektronische apparatuur. Dit wordt

aangeduid door het symbool op het product, in de handleiding en/of op de

verpakking. Sommige materialen waaruit het product is vervaardigd, kunnen

worden hergebruikt als u ze naar een inzamelpunt brengt. Door onderdelen of

grondstoffen van gebruikte producten te hergebruiken, levert u een belangrijke bijdrage

aan de bescherming van het milieu. Wend u tot de plaatselijke overheid voor meer

informatie over de inzamelpunten bij u in de buurt.

6 Bloeddruk

6.1 Wat is bloeddruk?

Bloeddruk is de druk die wordt uitgeoefend op de slagaderwand door het bloed dat door

de slagaders stroomt. De druk die wordt gemeten wanneer het hart samentrekt en bloed

uit het hart stuwt, is systolisch (bovendruk). De druk die wordt gemeten wanneer het hart

uitzet door het bloed dat terugstroomt naar het hart wordt de diastolische bloeddruk

(onderdruk) genoemd.

6.2 Waarom moet u uw bloeddruk meten?

Van de verschillende gezondheidsproblemen waarmee de moderne mens heeft af te

rekenen, komen problemen gepaard met een hoge bloeddruk verreweg het vaakst voor.

Door de gevaarlijk sterke correlatie tussen hoge bloeddruk en cardiovasculaire

aandoeningen en de hoge morbiditeit zijn bloeddrukmetingen noodzakelijk geworden

om de risicogroepen te identificeren.

6.3 Bloeddruknorm

De Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie (WHO) heeft een bloeddruknorm ontwikkeld aan de

hand waarvan bloeddrukwaarden met laag en hoog risico worden geïdentificeerd. Die

norm is echter slechts een algemene richtlijn, want de individuele bloeddruk verschilt van

persoon tot persoon en van groep tot groep enz.

Het is belangrijk dat u regelmatig uw arts raadpleegt. Uw arts zal u vertellen wat uw

normale bloeddrukbereik is en vanaf welke waarde u risico loopt.

6.4 Bloeddrukschommeling

De bloeddruk schommelt voortdurend!

U hoeft zich nog niet ongerust te maken als u twee of drie keer een hoge bloeddruk meet.

De bloeddruk verandert in de loop van de maand en zelfs in de loop van de dag,

afhankelijk van de omstandigheden (gemoedstoestand, temperatuur enz.).

7 Batterijen plaatsen

• Open het batterijvak door het afdekplaatje weg te schuiven

• Plaats 2 Alkaline AAA-batterijen. Volg de in de illustratie aangegeven polariteit.

• Plaats het deksel weer op het batterijvak.

Sluit de batterijen niet kort en gooi ze niet in het vuur.

Verwijder de batterij als u het toestel langere tijd niet

gebruikt.

De batterijen moeten worden vervangen wanneer het

pictogram batterij bijna leeg wordt weergegeven.

Alle batterijen moeten van hetzelfde type zijn. Geen

alkaline, standaard (carbon-zink) of oplaadbare (cadmium)

batterijen in combinatie gebruiken. Geen oude en nieuwe

batterijen samen gebruiken.

10 Instellingen

10.1 Tijd-, datum- en maateenheidinstelling

• Als de batterijen voor de eerste keer worden geplaatst, zal het jaar automatisch

gaan knipperen op het scherm. Als u het apparaat al eens eerder heeft gebruikt,

dient u 3-4 seconden op de “SET” knop te drukken, terwijl het apparaat is

uitgeschakeld. Het jaar zal vervolgens gaan knipperen op het scherm.

• Druk op de “MEM” knop om het jaartal op te laten lopen en gebruik de “SET” knop

om het gewenste jaar te bevestigen.

• Wijzig de maand, de dag, de uren en de minuten zoals hierboven beschreven.

Gebruik de “MEM” knop om de aanduiding op te laten lopen en de “SET” knop om

elke instelling te bevestigen.

• Druk na het instellen van de minuten op “SET”, waarna de huidige maateenheid zal

verschijnen. Gebruik de set knop om kPa of mmHg te selecteren.

• Druk op de “start/Stop” knop om de huidige instellingen op te slaan en schakel het

apparaat uit.

10.2 De manchet aanbrengen

1. Verwijder horloges, sieraden enz. voordat u de polsmeter

aanbrengt. Rol uw mouwen op en bevestig de manchet op uw

naakte huid om een correcte meting te verzekeren. Doe de

manchet om uw linkerpols met de handpalm naar boven

gericht.

2. De rand van de manchet moet ongeveer 1 cm van de

handpalm verwijderd zijn om verzekerd te zijn van een

nauwkeurige meting.

3. Bevestig de klittenband stevig rond uw pols zodat er geen

speling is tussen manchet en pols. Als de manchet niet stevig

genoeg rond de pols wordt gewikkeld, verkrijgt u een onjuist

meetresultaat.

4. Indien uw arts een zwakke bloedsomloop in uw linkerarm

heeft vastgesteld, moet u de manchet rond uw rechterpols

bevestigen.

11 Meethouding

1. Ontspan heel uw lichaam, vooral het gebied tussen uw

elleboog en vingers. Plaats uw elleboog op een tafel

zodat de manchet zich op dezelfde hoogte bevindt als

uw hart.

2. Als de manchet niet op dezelfde hoogte als uw hart ligt

of als u uw arm niet volledig stil kunt houden gedurende

de meting, kunt u uw arm ondersteunen met een zacht

voorwerp, zoals een opgevouwen handdoek.

3. Draai uw handpalm omhoog. Ga rechtop in een stoel

zitten en haal 5-6 keer diep adem. Leun niet achterover

tijdens de meting.

12 Meting

12.1 Belangrijk

1. Als het apparaat 2 minuten lang niet is gebruikt,

schakelt deze automatisch uit.

2. Om de meting te onderbreken, drukt u op een willekeurige knop. De manchet

zal onmiddellijk leeglopen nadat op een toets wordt gedrukt.

3. Praat niet tijdens de meting en beweeg ook uw arm- of handspieren niet.

4. Het resultaat wordt automatisch opgeslagen in de geselecteerde

geheugenzone. Selecteer de gewenste geheugenzone vóór de meting

(zie hoofdstuk 14).

13 Procedure

• Druk op de “START/STOP” knop om het apparaat in te schakelen. Het scherm zal

alle symbolen weergeven en de polsband blaast automatisch op tot het voor de

gebruiker geschikte niveau.

• Het meten begint tijdens de inflatie. Zodra er een polsslag wordt waargenomen, zal

het ‘hartslag’ symbool gaan knipperen.

• Als het juiste niveau is bereikt, zal de polsband leeglopen.

• Als het meten is voltooid, zullen de systolische bloeddruk, de diastolische

bloeddruk en de polsslag gelijktijdig worden weergegeven op het LCD-scherm.

• De metingen zullen automatisch worden opgeslagen in het geheugen.

• Druk op de “start/stop” knop om het apparaat uit te schakelen. Als het apparaat 2

minuten lang niet is gebruikt, schakelt het automatisch uit.

• Om de inflatie of het meten te stoppen, kan er op elk gewenst moment op de “start/

stop” knop worden gedrukt. Het apparaat zal de inflatie onderbreken en

uitschakelen.

13.1 Onregelmatige hartslag

Als het symbool “IHB” wordt weergegeven, betekent het dat tijdens de meting een

bepaalde afwijking in de polsslag werd vastgesteld.

De verschijning van dit pictogram kan worden veroorzaakt door een onregelmatige

hartslag, maar ook door praten, bewegen of schudden tijdens de meting.

Gewoonlijk is er geen reden tot ongerustheid, maar als het symbool regelmatig

verschijnt, adviseren wij u om een arts te raadplegen. En wees u ervan bewust dat het

toestel geen substituut is voor een echt hartonderzoek. Het dient slechts om

onregelmatigheden in de hartslag in een vroeg stadium te detecteren.

14 Geheugen

Het apparaat slaat automatisch de gemeten bloeddruk en polsslag op in het geheugen

na elke meting. Er kunnen 60 sets metingen worden opgeslagen. De oudste meting

wordt verwijderd om plaats te maken voor de nieuwste meting, als de 60 sets metingen

zijn overschreden. Het apparaat berekent ook een gemiddelde aflezing op basis van de

laatste drie gemeten waarden.

De melding dat een onregelmatige hartslag werd gedetecteerd wordt

niet in het geheugen opgeslagen.

De hartslagdisplay is niet geschikt om de frequentie van pacemakers

te controleren. Wanneer er tijdens de meting een zekere

onregelmatigheid in de hartslag wordt vastgesteld, raden wij u aan om

een arts te raadplegen.

Wij raden u echter aan om uw arts uit voorzorg te raadplegen voordat

u het toestel gebruikt wanneer u aan een aritmie lijdt, zoals atriale of

ventriculaire premature hartslag en atriaal fibrilleren of andere speciale

aandoeningen.

De IHB-functie is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door personen met een

aritmie of voor de diagnose en behandeling van een aritmie. Om de

onstabiele toestand van de gebruiker te filteren en om te vermijden dat

de hartslagmeting wordt beïnvloed door bewegen, schudden of praten

bij het begin van de meting, wordt het gemiddelde hartslaginterval voor

dit toestel berekend op basis van drie goede hartslagen die bij het

begin van de meting worden waargenomen. Die methode verschilt van

een strikt mathematisch gemiddelde van alle geregistreerde

intervallen.

Wanneer minstens 3 hartslagen met minstens 25% van het gemiddelde

hartslaginterval afwijken, wordt het IHB-pictogram op het scherm

weergegeven.

• Druk op de “MEM” knop om het gemiddelde van de laatste 3 meetwaarden van de

huidige gebruiker weer te geven.

• Druk op de “MEM” knop om de set van meetwaarden weer te geven met de

meetdatum en –tijd van de oudste tot de meest recente meting.

• Houd de knop lang ingedrukt om de waarde snel te wijzigen.

• Druk 4-6 seconden op de “MEM” knop in de ‘geheugen lezen’ modus, waarna het

scherm “dEL no” zal weergeven.

• Druk nogmaals op de “MEM” knop, waarna het scherm “dEL YES” zal weergeven.

• Druk op de “start/stop” knop, als u er zeker van bent dat alle gegevens m.b.t. de

gebruiker kunnen worden gewist. Alle gegevens m.b.t. de gebruiker zullen worden

gewist en het apparaat wordt uitgeschakeld.

• Als het apparaat 2 minuten lang niet is gebruikt, schakelt het automatisch uit. De

bloeddrukgegevens van de gebruiker worden echter niet gewist. Om te wissen,

dient de handeling te worden bevestigd door de gebruiker.

16 Zorg en Onderhoud

• Bewaar de bloeddrukmeter in de bewaardoos, wanneer deze niet wordt gebruikt.

• Reinig het apparaat met een zachte, droge doek. Gebruik geen schurende of

vluchtige schoonmaakmiddelen. Reinig de behuizing en de polsband met nafta,

verdunner, wasbenzine, enz.

• Maak de polsband niet nat en probeer deze niet te reinigen met water. Dompel het

apparaat of de onderdelen ervan nooit onder water.

• Bewaar het apparaat op een schone en droge plek. Stel het apparaat niet bloot

aan extreme hitte of kou, vochtigheid en direct zonlicht.

• Verwijder de batterijen uit het apparaat, als het langer dan 3 maanden niet gebruikt

gaat worden. Vervang de beide batterijen altijd tegelijkertijd.

Vermijd blootstelling van het apparaat aan sterke schokken en trillingen, zoals het

laten vallen van het apparaat op de vloer.

18.1 Garantieperiode

Op de Topcom-toestellen wordt een garantie van 24 maanden verleend. De

garantieperiode gaat in op de dag waarop het nieuwe toestel wordt gekocht. Er is geen

garantie op Alkaline batterijen (type AA/AAA).

Kleine onderdelen of defecten die een verwaarloosbaar effect hebben op de werking of

waarde van het toestel zijn niet gedekt door de garantie.

De garantie moet worden bewezen door voorlegging van het originele aankoopbewijs of

kopie waarop de datum van aankoop en het toesteltype staat.

18.2 Garantiebeperkingen

Schade of defecten te wijten aan onoordeelkundig gebruik of bediening en schade te

wijten aan het gebruik van niet-originele onderdelen of accessoires worden niet gedekt

door de garantie.

De garantie dekt geen schade te wijten aan externe factoren, zoals bliksem, water en

brand, noch enige transportschade.

Er kan geen garantie worden ingeroepen als het serienummer op het toestel is gewijzigd,

verwijderd of onleesbaar gemaakt.

Garantieclaims zijn ongeldig indien het toestel hersteld, gewijzigd of aangepast werd

door de koper.

Voor constant nauwkeurige metingen wordt aanbevolen om het toestel twee jaar na de

aankoopdatum opnieuw te laten kalibreren. De kosten voor verzending, behandeling en
